100 Tears 1/10 Sweet Jesus it was horrible. It felt like it's some sort of school project or some shit. Gave it one point because I had some good laughs on how hilariously bad the majority of scenes were.
Apollo 18 6/8 T'was enjoyable. But the ending ruined it, and they [sp]should've shown less of the rockcrab things[/sp]. [sp]I would've enjoyed the movie a lot more if they'd just left out the crabs entirely. I thought the fact that the Russians had landed without them (the astronauts, 'cause the DOD knew obviously) knowing about it was far more interesting.[/sp]
David Lynch's Elephant Man 8.7/10 Pretty good movie, but started to drag on at some parts in my opinion.
Spirited Away 10/10 I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH
I'll watch the Swedish version first. Rusty may hate that one, but it's only because he hates Sweden.
I like Sweden, Let The Right One In is a masterpiece
Immortals - 5/10 Beautiful movie, but nothing remarkable. Seriously, the movie would probably be better if you muted it. Fight scenes were a lot like 300 (as in EXACTLY like 300), and they were pretty cool. Acting by Mickey Rourke was also great. To anyone who has watched the movie: I'm not a Greek Mythology expert, but isn't some of the stuff in the movie wrong? As far as I'm concerned, [sp]there was no law that prohibited gods from interfering with the humans, and, if I recall correctly, the Titans were giants, though I may be wrong. Anyone knows more about this?[/sp]
well its all made up anyway so what does it matter
It's more a symbolic thing.
Nowhere here did I say "it's too deep for you", by the way. It's like how 2001 was. Remove Hal, and you're left with the bare structure that "represents" something.
well its all made up anyway so what does it matter
if it's not greek mythology then they might as well just rename all of the characters
Snowtown 9/10 This is a really good movie.
Millenium mini serie - 8/10 I have not seen the movies, but apparently the mini serie has 110 minutes extra stuff.
Red 8/10 Cute movie, very tongue in cheek.
Mission: Impossible 7/10 Not bad, but not that good either.
the departed 10/10 make love to me leo dicaprio
the departed 10/10 make love to me leo dicaprio
his face is a lot more plump in his latest movie "J Edgar".
Willard didn't laugh in the entire movie. Are you sure you weren't watching a bootleg of sort? [editline]30th December 2011[/editline] or maybe the documentary, which is actually good.
Docu is a mind blower. The only other making of that kind of blew me away like that was Burden of Dreams about Wernar Herzog's Fitzcarraldo. On the lolling scene I'm sure in the Redux version Willard breaks out into laughter when they steal the surfboards that belong to Kilgore. It was one of those things that just took me out of the movie for a moment. I read theres another version of the film that has stuff extra to both versions.
Ah that may have slipped my mind. does make sense to laugh though. :v:
Red 8/10 Cute movie, very tongue in cheek.
Oh I love that movie. I wouldn't really call it "cute" or "tongue-in-cheek". Have you checked out Blue and White? They're great. Krzysztof Kieślowski is a great director. Nothing beats the Dekalogue though.
Gran Torino 9/10 Definitely worth a 9. Eastwood never ceases to amaze me. That feeling when you watch a movie that isn't pointless. We need more movies like this. Could not stress that point enough.

Also, the soundtrack is beautiful for Gran Torino.
:(
That movie was amazing. Every month or so I keep clicking the directors name on IMDB to see if he's making something new.
Excuse me, but what's that from?
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
too bad he went and did the green hornet, huh
too bad he went and did the green hornet, huh
So much potential, and he made that piece of shit. Maybe one day he'll realize that he shouldn't ever do action movies again.
i think he meant http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1245526/
oh the remake. it doesn't even have anything to do with the original.
can anyone suggest me a movie to watch tonight? something simple, relaxing and interesting at the same time, like 12 Angry Men or Memento
^ I got one for ya. It's called A Clockwork Orange.
