Super 8: 8.5/10 Really awesome Spielberg homage film, I really liked it a lot. Kids actors were great too, it was a nostalgia trip to watch that film.
Pan's Labyrinth 9/10 good storyline and great creature design, the thing with its eyes in its hands was pretty fucking creepy
Face/Off & The Rock; 2 of my favorite films... "When I get out of here, I'm gonna have you fired!" .... Priceless!! :bravo:
these films should not be good but they manage it, even though it's a michael bay movie I love The Rock [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] Also I watched Paul, 8/10, it was much better than I thought it would be which was always nice.
martyrs fuck-off/10 this is the first time a movie has ever offended me, ever.
haha why pussy alert pussy alert
why what is it about
its a horror film but then half way through it becomes a girl being tourtured for the rest of the movie so she can become some kinda gateway to the afterlife through martyrdom
cool.
Super 8 9/10 [sp]But all I could think the whole time was E.T. Two[/sp]
its a horror film but then half way through it becomes a girl being tourtured for the rest of the movie so she can become some kinda gateway to the afterlife through martyrdom
Directed by Pascal? Oh that's a funny thought...
Unknown- 7/10 Liam Neeson's acting is still as good, Diane Kruger acts relatively well. Final fight scene's lighting was perfect. Lines are pretty good. Bruno Ganz being himself. Guess who cocks up? January Jones. The scene where Liam Neeson meets his impostor particularly (she reunites with Liam Neeson, who is supposed to have left already) Appropriate Expression and tone of voice: Shocked, surprised, maybe even angry Actual Expression and tone of voice: Happy, Smiling, attempting to be shocked, looks more like outraged, like she met the Uncle Phil who molested her when she was young "Oh, he is not my husband, tehe" Talking about defusing a bomb Appropriate tone of voice: Urgent with an undertone of calm (She is a trained killer) Actual tone of voice: Blank, like as if she was reading out a textbook or a indifferent priest reading the bible. Defusing a bomb Appropriate expression: Worried, scared Actual expression: Blank, smiling at times, actually, grinning like one motherfucker
its a horror film but then half way through it becomes a girl being tourtured for the rest of the movie so she can become some kinda gateway to the afterlife through martyrdom
it was pretty decent really [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] also Forrest Gump 9/10 Why have I not watched it until now, goddamn ;-; fucking amazing If I gave 10/10's I probably would. But 10/10 implies perfect which it wasn't.
Mindhunters - what a bullshit. FBI agents acting like high school students, ridiculous dialogs, extremely unprobable plot. 1,5/10
Falling Down 8/10 I didn't really have a reason to not like it, the final scene was pretty good.
Paul 7/10 Good movie, great movie.. Just not a movie i would think "I'm gonna watch this again" about. Mabey had my expectations too high.
Snatch 10/10
'The Game' 8.5/10. Such a good movie and the ending was so good.
Exit Through the Gift Shop - 8 / 10
Pretty interesting look into the world of street art, although I wasn't as captivated as I was expecting based on reviews/awards. I'm watching Spun right now and I'm loving it. I really love the direction and camera work, almost feels like I'm watching a Danny Boyle movie. Think it's going to be a 10. -- Accidentally posted this in another thread somehow. Still haven't finished Spun.
Ip Man 8.5/10 Fantastic film in every sense, but it was extremely biased against the Japanese ([sp]even if it was about the Japanese occupation of China[/sp]) and felt too much like Chinese propaganda towards the end.
Ip Man 8.5/10 Fantastic film in every sense, but it was extremely biased against the Japanese ([sp]even if it was about the Japanese occupation of China[/sp]) and felt too much like Chinese propaganda towards the end.
well, considering what the japanese did during that time, i'd say go chinks.
well, considering what the japanese did during that time, i'd say go chinks.
Well I mean it's kind of obvious that they would be the villains, but the end was basically CHINESE BAND TOGETHER AND INSTANTLY OVERTHROW JAPANESE GO CHINA WE'RE NUMBER ONE
Spun - 10 / 10
Fucking fantastic! Strange and compelling, visually stunning, funny, great soundtrack, phenomenal performances all across the board, even Eric Roberts, and although it may not really have anything to say, it's such a creative piece of work that this can be overlooked. This guy needs to direct more shit now.
Memento 9.5/10 Just a quick lesson, he has amnesia. There are 2 types of amnesia, Anterograde amnesia and Retrograde amnesia. Retrograde is the one everyone knows about where the person can not remember old facts. Anterograde amnesia is when a person can not make new LONG TERM MEMORIES. It has nothing to do with short term memory. Short term memory lasts 20 secs and can be improved through repetition ([sp]the scene when he is scrambling for pens he keeps it in his mind[/sp]) thus he doesnt have a problem with his short term memory. Now, the whole conditioning thing, sigh, well people with anterograde amnesia can learn through implicit memory. Implicit memory is the stuff you dont know you know (yes its confusing). It is outside of meta-memory, anyway people with amnesia can still learn so Sammy should have passed the test after many trials. I could start posting videos about this but im not teaching cognition 301 here so just gonna finish up. He has Anterograde amnesia, his memory is prone to corruption (memory of past events are mostly made up of interpolation, where you make up most of what you believed happened by thinking what you would logically expect to happen), and its incredibly unlikely that he will be able to remember that he had a condition... OKAY its flawed but its still a goddamn good movie.
Hackers 1995 10/10 Incredible movie, i can put it on repeat! It's a bunch of hackers getting blamed and screwing around with the goverment and companies in in 90's And Angelina Jolie was very young and HAWT! Actualy she exposes one of her TITS in a scene, for half a second. It's awesome.
Love Ranch - 8/10 (Helen Mirren; one of the sexiest mature woman on the screen!! Directed by hubby!) Desert Flower - 8/10 An atrocity to 6,000 girls every: day that needs to cease!! Neither films particularly well-made however, both true stories that were reasonably well told. Desert Flower couldn't been helped by editing 20mins off but inspiring story.
The Bourne Ultimatum - It has Matt Damon in it, so that's a plus. Overall I enjoyed the movie. Great fight scenes along with an interesting story to go with it.
The Pursuit of Happyness 9/10... it made me cry at the end :')
Red, White & Blue 7/10 crazy shit...
True Grit (2010) 9/10 Excellent dialogue and is impressive considering it has a lot to live up to. Still impressive though. Acting was authentic.
Predator 10/10 Arnold Schwarzenegger is a badass
Predator 8/10 Arnold Schwarzenegger is a badass
Watch Commando :frogc00l:
