The one by the Coens or the John Wayne one? If its the Coens' one, I'd give it an 8.75 Really well done and funny when it wants to be.
The Coen one, I will see the original some time too. I think I have it on video somewhere.
the original is god awful i cant overstate how much i fucking hate john wayne
I'm sure he's not that bad an actor. :v:
He doesn't really act.
That's not me, silly. This is me! pic
youre doing it wrong :frogsiren:
V For Vendetta I quite liked it, some parts were quite..meh, and some parts gave off a cheap feel. But the overall story was good. And I quite liked "V", by the end of the film I felt like he was a great character, and I liked the fact he was kept mysterious yet you still learned somewhat of a backstory. Gonna go for a 7.5/10.
Piranna 3D 4/10 I think this one honestly had a little bit TOO much blood. I thought it would be interesting until I saw it. Bleh, didn't like it.
The Limits of Control http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1135092/ It was pretty good there wasn't a lot of talking[sp]Bill Murray gets killed at the end.[/sp] I give it, uh... 8.384314406
no, that's not why it was unwatchable it was just a bad movie. it was memento without any of the charm or anything interesting
you keep telling yourself that ;)
Aeon Flux - 7/10
It means that just because someone is 12 doesn't mean that they don't know good movies.
True, but most likely that isn't the case. [editline]18th June 2011[/editline]
I'm 16, fyi. Acting 12 does not mean I am 12. I'm very immature/do not think my posts through. I'm sick of people calling me 12, I'm not. Sure, I can't prove I'm not, but I also can't prove that you're not 12/younger than me.
Don't admit to being older than twelve with a favoured film list like that.
Mary and Max - 9.5/10
Tomorrow, When The War Began 5/10 I like the concept, although it borrows so much from Red Dawn. The visuals and effects were good. My main complaint is the complete absence of realism in a movie that was trying to be gritty and shit - there were several points where the entire main cast probably would've died, mainly the movie's climax - and the corny, cheesyness of it. Two things that bumped up it's score: "Good book?" "Better than the movie" and the correct use of the term "magazine". If I were to take the movie seriously it should've had much more appropriate atmosphere. It was way too optimistic with shitty "dramatic" scenes that completely ruined the pacing - which was terrible to begin with. Personally I think you should just watch Red Dawn instead. Same shit, different country, different mooks but generally better.
Don't admit to being older than twelve with a favoured film list like that.
I don't get it, what is with you people and opinions? They bother you so much that you make false accusations? Jesus christ. Read up on the definition, it's harmless and does nothing to hurt you, yet you make it seem that way. I liked those movies, it's a big enough deal to make it seem like I'm 12 appearantely. What movies do 16 yr olds watch? I'd like to know the specific age group of movies. Because this is getting ridiculous.
you keep telling yourself that ;)
yeah except enter the void has a lot more of that and i liked it more than irreversible
What movies do 16 yr olds watch?
I first watched Apocalypse Now when I was 16. :smugdog:
irreversible is just a bad movie that tries to give it's own spin to what memento did, but ultimately fails because I don't give a fuck about any of the characters and it's not compelling. yeah she got raped, yeah it's brutal. the main characters are aimlessly running around like headless chooks with no meaningful dialogue other than IM GONNA KILL THAT MOTHER FUCKER. what else is there to this movie? oh at the end she was preggers which was obvious the whole time and it just feels like it's trying to tug on our heart strings and is way too cheesy. it's like a fallback to make someone's death more sad, OH BTW SHE WAS PREGNANT!! HOW SAD IS THAT LOL it tried to be really emotional and be like LOOK HOW SHOCKING HER RAPE AND MURDER WAS, now LOOK AT HER EVERYDAY LIFE ISN'T SHE PRETTY HOW COULD SUCH A THING HAVE HAPPENED TO A REAL LIFE ACTUAL PERSON it's not entertaining, it's not compelling and it's not particularly smart, clever or original

Unthinkable - 7/10.
Hall Pass - 7 / 10
Surprisingly funny, but ultimately one of those mushy, feel good chick flicks.
I don't get it, what is with you people and opinions? We dont like your ratings because you are basically rating good films badly, and calling bad films better than actual good ones. If anything you cant take our opinion of you, dumb. I mean take Rusty for example, he doesnt give 2 shits what we think about his opinion and we think the same. We debate about it and move on. Sure we may all have our different tastes but you still need to recognize a good movie from a bad one. So i suggest going to Facepunches Top 250 movies list and watch a few from there so you can get an idea as to what makes a good movie.
Little Fockers Robert De Niro + Retired CIA agent = makes the movie 8/10 = reason CIA RETIRED JACK BYRNES
