I watched Old School again.
7/10?
Some of it is brilliant writing but, well, a lot of it is kind of shit too.

I was just listening to Dust in the Wind :v:
There are plenty of scenes where I found myself neglecting the characters and wondering if the movie was intentionally "artsy" as opposed to say Forrest Gump (The movie everyone likes to compare Benjamin Button to) where I felt that every moment was genuine.
Don't get me wrong, the acting and the premise were flawless, and taken as a whole the movie was absolutely stunning. However, there were very few instants that felt powerful on their own.
At first I wasn't sure what you were talking about, but now I can definitely see what you mean.

Restrepo 7.5/10
Awesome documentary of a year in the deadliest Afghan valley
Hmm, well have a look's see.
Mortal Kombat (1995)
It was okay. I enjoyed the scenes where the Mortal Kombat theme kicked in and Johnny Cage's one-liners.
Weakest part: Scorpion's "get over here!"-dagger thing wasn't a dagger thing but some creature that grows out of the palm of his hand wtf
and he doesn't manage to hit someone with it. it just hit a tree and got splattered.
6.5/10
Blade Runner: The Final Cut (1982)
Just an amazing film. Delicious noir-cyberpunk setting coupled with an incredibly beautiful soundtrack as well as the beautiful Sean Young.
10/10
as opposed to say Forrest Gump (The movie everyone likes to compare Benjamin Button to)
Well I'm probably the only one who didn't think of that movie while watching it. I didn't really care much for the "artsy" aspect of it. Although there were times when I felt it style over substance, overall it had heart.
Exit Through the Gift Shop
8/10
Grandmas Boy.
We've all seen it, we all know its good already.
10/10 yeah I did it.
Fight club.
10/10
Gonna watch it again sometime to see if it makes more sense.

so you didn't think it made sense and yet gave it 10/10?
Just watched From Paris With Love. 6/10. I felt like it could of been SO much better. I usually like bad action movies... But that had nothing going for it. I did enjoy the Pulp Fiction reference though.
Devil, that movie where those five people were trapped in the elevator by the devil.
I give it a 6/10, being the fact that it was way to predictable
[sp]I mean, the old lady screamed "I'm the killer." and when I saw she "died" by hanging I was like "She's the killer." Also I mean.... It's usually a baby or a old woman being possessed why u no be original?![/sp]
Fight club.

Fight Club makes perfect sense, what are you talking about? did Inception confuse you as well?
A Clockwork Orange
9.5/10
My first time watching it. It was really good, to say the least

It never stops to astound me when I hear someone say they watched Clockwork Orange for the first time.
I have my sisters old ex to thank for exposing me to this film at the age of 9.
Also, if you actually read books,
read the book. Like everything else, the novel form is better.
Also, non-Americanized.
I haven't seen it yet.

Magnolia: 9/10
A really great film by Paul Thomas Anderson, a truly human film with lots of heart.

I've never seen Forrest Gump, so you're not alone.
after hearing so much about it I watched the room
10/10
this is so funny it made me cry tears of sadness that this was actually made and tears of joy that I get to laugh at it
best fucking line reading ever! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISXiFJS9D5A&feature=related

It's pretty awesome
[editline]26th June 2011[/editline]
Also not really a movie but rewatching all of Cowboy Bebop again, god I love it. Who would've thought mixing western and eastern culture would form such a masterpiece of spaceships, sci-fi and awesome shit like bounty hunting?
Destroying season 2 of Stargate Universe, so gutted they cancelled it. It's the best sci fi series I've ever seen, and I acquired all of the Star Trek movies the other day so I'm going to have a marathon day and watch them all
A buddy of mine had all of Firefly on his PC so I copy pasted that to my mp3 player now it's sitting, waiting to be opened.
Oh and I watched this the other day

Altered (2006)
Definitely worth a look if you're into movies like Alien, follows a bunch of Rednecks who captured an alien, or "thing" out hunting, and they bring it back to a buddy's house and the rest of the Aliens, well they're not too happy about it. Survival horror I guess, 7/10. It's got some good humor too
[editline]26th June 2011[/editline]
Jesus I don't ever need to go out again
I spent all last year out all day erryday because I hated being at home, now I prefer being alone
:v:
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Toy Story 3 9/10. (rewatch)
Came out just as i was going to college too and i still have my woody doll from when i was a kid.
Not so much the last movie I watched but...
Paul 3/10
Boring and unfunny as fuck, looked promising. First movie that my friends and I actually got up and left from the theatre.
