Watch Spielberg's address as he wins Best Picture for Schindler's List on YouTube.
Right, Spielberg is closely attached to Jewish culture and Megan Fox was stupid enough to call someone important a nazi. Like I said, it makes sense. Jewish director or not she should've been thrown away for that one. Also, I watched the 66th Oscars live. Whoopi hosted and Schindler's List won best movie, too.

Just probably that he was maybe a bit to much of a control freak maybe? Why would she care anyway, she's just there to look hot. Doesn't even do a great job of that neither. :smug:
Sure wasn't too hard for 'em to replace her.
To be fair you can't expect a director to NOT be a control freak, that's their job
To be fair you can't expect a director to NOT be a control freak, that's their job
Well that's wrong. Fair enough director's have a job, but they're there to connect with the actors to portray an artistic piece that they want to convey. I don't why I'm bothering to explain since it's Transformers we're talking about. :downs:
I won an Oscar, I know what I'm doing. Get a new pretty thing.
Les Visiteurs, a really good french movie. 9/10. Did not expect much out of it but it turned out to be awesome.
Transformers 3 - 3.5/10 No structure of the story. Sam and his bitch girlfriend don't contribute to the story at all. They just run around pointlessly as the autobots save them from everything in a slow motion shot.
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. 10/10. I can't think of anything in it I saw wrong. Great, great movie.
Battle: Los Angeles 8/10 Nice action packed, cool fx, the end made me >.> though
Les Visiteurs, a really good french movie. 9/10. Did not expect much out of it but it turned out to be awesome.
Yeah, it's a really great comedy, I loved it myself.

so many 10's.
Boss Nigger 10/10
Boss Nigger 10/10
That looks super badass. Wonder if Redbox has it.
transformers 3 8/10
Here it is.. Cast Away 9.5/10 I usually really enjoy Tom Hanks and his movies (Except for Bosom Buddies) I thought it accurately portrayed the tale of a everyday man trapped on a island. Really enjoyable. A Clockwork Orange 10/10. I heard about this from multiple people on this thread. I finally picked it up and watched it.. All I can say is it's definitively going in my top favorites. I enjoyed Alex and the way he thinks. Another great Stanley Kubrick film. Apocalypse now 9.9/10 I've already seen it and it still holds as my favorite Vietnam movie. The characters are semi-relate able. They made a great film except the fact Francis Coppola is a dick.

"The Thing from Outer Space" (51'). [8/10] This was the inspiration for the John Carpenter film, "The Thing". [9.5/10] It is a very solid movie, black and white, but was well thought out for the time period. It consisted of an American research team in Antarctica finding a spaceship buried under the ice (Familiar?). The alien is deemed of plant like origin and reproduces with seeds, rather than assimilation (John C. movie). Blood is used as nourishment for the aliens. I don't want to get too detailed, but it is a classic horror movie, and should be looked at if you are a fan of the Carpenter film.
REC 2- 8.5/10

They made a great film except the fact Francis Coppola is a dick.
How does that affect the quality of the film? In a way it almost makes it better, as he reportedly went mad in the jungle trying to make the film, which makes the final product all the more impressive.
yeah and the shining? the female lead's stress and anxiety was real, kubrick was such a fucking cunt to her, her hair started to fall out.
trainspotting 9/10
Samurai Commando Mission 1549 (lol) It was cheesy, but a good timewaster. 7.5/10
The Godfather - 9.5/10 or alternatively Why the fuck did I not watch this before /10. Absolutely amazing, I cannot believe I didn't take the time out to watch it before. I actually feel better after watching it. Don't know what it is about Marlon Brando's performance (his voice is about as unintelligible as my polish grandad's) but he steals every scene he's in. I'll watch the next one tomorrow, since this one was 3 hours long and Part 2 is even longer. [editline]2nd July 2011[/editline] Also, the HD restoration is fantastic. It looks like a film made in the last 10 years, hell, it looks better than most current films.
Watched Nixon in my government and politics class as part of an introduction to American politics, which we study next year. Really enjoyed it. Was interesting to see a more sympathetic portrayal, because as a big Hunter S. Thompson fan I've always read about him being an utter bastard. Hopkins was great as Nixon, maybe better than Langella was in Frost/Nixon, he seemed to capture the sense of social awkwardness very well. Only real criticism of the film would be that it takes a few too many liberties in places and makes assumptions and insinuations - It tries to hint that Nixon was involved in having Kennedy assassinated, which is pretty harsh to do without any sort of evidence. Also there were a couple of naff looking shots where things like flames were super-imposed over, say, his wife as she confronts him. Really enjoyed it, very much recommend it. 8/10.
Transformers 3. As an over-the-top summer action movie directed by Michael Bay (you know he only does action and explosions well), I rate it 9/10.
Super 8 3/10 More like "Super Cheesy". Also a ripoff of District 9
Cheesy sure, but ripoff of District 9?
Cheesy sure, but ripoff of District 9?
they both have aliens in it jeez it's like the exact same movie but with kids except there were kids in disctrict nine too like i think there were a couple in the hostipal and there was the alien kid but i dunno if he counts. [editline]1st July 2011[/editline] plus they're both really ab out tolerance of gays
