Going to see Syriana and Michael Clayton some time this week. I feel I need to see more of George Clooney, he's a fantastic actor that I've neglected to watch.
Two of my favorite movies, you're gonna like em' I think.
No Country For Old Men has a truly great ending.
A Serious Man was this way, too.
A Serious Man was this way, too.
I liked that ending too.
The great thing about their movies is that they're unconventional and unique.
They have the ability to make history if they pull off more like it.
This is what Coen movies do.
then you haven't seen Fargo or The Big Lebowski.
then you haven't seen Fargo or The Big Lebowski.
And you haven't seen A Serious Man or No Country For Old Men?
That's an obnoxious thing to say. Try to be a little less like this in the future.

I say they've already made history. They could make more history sure.
Some film of two comic-con guys meeting an alien and driving around in a camper truck.
It was so full of dumb shit from every characters part, bad and cheesy directing, while the idea behind the film was pretty interesting only poorly executed with bad jokes etc etc.
I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy it...
I LOVED IT! IT'S AWESOME! :D
The Shawshank Redemption, 10/10. Loved it from the beginning to the ending.

Those are two of his best movies. Don't know which one's better though, but I'd go with Michael Clayton.

I liked it too! I wouldn't call it a 9/10, but I very much enjoyed it, even though I can tell it wasn't a great movie. It was just entertaining. 7/10ish for pure entertainment value.
Though that wasn't the last movie I saw. It was the one before last. The last movie I watched was:
The Matrix.
I've been made fun of many times for never seeing it, so I finally did. It was pretty damn cool. 8.5/10. Off to watch Reloaded now.

Don't do it!
Those are two of his best movies. Don't know which one's better though, but I'd go with Michael Clayton.
Saw it and it was very enjoyable.
8/10
It had style, substance, cleanliness and heart. Just because he is the worst batman doesn't mean you can disrespect him as an actor. Very worthy.
I'm actually thinking Syriana will be better though for some reason.. looks a little more interesting in concept.
The Triplets of Belleville
TEN OUT OF GODDAMN TEN
the matrix - 7.5
and shortly before the matrix
die hard - 8.5
The Warrior's Way - 5.5/10
Some parts were funny, some were awesome. The rest was horribly cheesy and unrealistic.
im watching chinatown, goddamn its so much like la noire
I PREPARE TO WATCH THE GODFATHER PART 1 FOR THE FIRST TIME GUYS
WISH ME LUCK! :v:

goodfellas is better imho
goodfellas is better imho
Sorry for the disagree, but does that movie make you feel anything?
it made me feel a whole lot more than the godfather
overrated, goodfellas IS better.
[editline]7th July 2011[/editline]
the godfather felt pretty dry and emotionless for the most part, especially when [sp]his wife explodes[/sp]. everyone said it was the greatest film of all time, and i watched it and thought 'that's it?'
maybe i was expecting too much, it was a decent film but it was't anything spectacular. as far as coppolas films go, apocalypse now is INFINITELY better.

Depth, my friend.
I would agree with you two on so many levels, but the amount of heart put into the Father was more than Fellas.
The only person in Goodfellas that had heart was Joe Pesci.
idk what you even mean by Heart, do you mean in that it was trying to be a lot more emotional?
i don't think either film was really deeper than the other, but Goodfellas was definitely more engaging and interesting. Godfather dragged on about stuff it didn't make me care all that much about, and really not a lot actually happened.
That's probably because Goodfellas was a lot shorter and wasn't able to put out more of what was available in the characters.
Easy to watch, engaging and flow are most of the right things to say when comparing the two.
I'd rather watch Goodfellas, but Godfather is a whole different ballpart.
If you want to compare Scorcese's effort with it, use Mean Streets. A lot more comparable.
Isn't based on a true story either, adding to the ambiguity.
