Death Wish 3 - 6, as much as i like seeing charles bronson kick ass it was p. boring, it was pretty much DW2 but replace his maid/daughter with a friend and it becomes the same thing.
Alien - 6.5, i had high hopes for this one, i had never seen it before til now(i rarely watched movies up until this point(got dvr)), i was let down, i was expecting a way more interesting story and it didn't really deliver.

Visuals were great, especially for a 70's movie hot damn, but I usually watch movies for the story, if not then for the gratuitous amounts of action, not the visuals, it didn't have a lot of action or story, and I just couldn't really get into it, so it was hard to say HOLY SHIT THIS IS INTENSE when I couldn't get into it at all. It was still pretty entertaining regardless, just not something I'd watch again.

I was about to give it a 8/10 as well. I really enjoyed it. It was (for me) a sci-fi movie that stood out in a only good way.

Honestly one of the best movies I've ever seen. So unique, so many emotions and such a tight knit plot. The w hole movie flowed through symbol after symbol and it was just incredible.

Except that it was such a horrible film that hid it's lack of anything interesting or special to say behind it's arthouse vaneer. Basically it's a film that tricks people into going 'Well I didn't understand that one bit... so it must be amazing (or I must SAY it's amazing so that people don't think I'm stupid and uncultured).
It's kind of like a poor man's 2001. Except a lot stupider and a lot more pointless and unfulfilling.

It's akin to watching the trailer 20 times on repeat. Except the trailer is better than the film, so I would say watch the trailer 20 times instead of actually watching the film.
The main difference is the trailer leaves you wanting excited for more. The film just leaves you disappointed and without any of the answers the trailer posed.

Also I just watched The Adjustment Bureau and liked it more than I thought I would. I like Emily Blunt but not really Matt Damon. And the hat thing was silly.
