Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 - 8/10
A good movie all in all, but still there were a lot of things I would have liked to seen and it should maybe have been 10-15 minutes longer.
Law abiding citizen. Great movie, ending made me rage. In my opinion, the lawyer should have died, so should his entire family. The god damn ending pissed me off, i wanted that mayor to die, with the other people around the table.
The soundtrack in The Abyss is amazing.
I think next time I watch it I'll pay attention
you are a funny guy
you can't take depth in books of all things
these are childrens books, they don't need to be 1000+ pages long
though the length wasn't a problem for me most of the time it did become a bit ridiculous at some points

7/10, want to give it six but I can't
The 'worst' star trek movie I've seen, but that's because the others are really good and this one just falls short a bit. Hopefully the next one is better.
worse than I and V?

... are you kidding me? The ending made you rage for the completely wrong reason.
The reason I hated that movie was because absolutely none of it made any sense. Nothing the characters did seemed like it had anything to do with... anything. Every action was completely nonsensical and ridiculous.
For example, [sp] once they discovered Gerard was escaping from prison, why did they have to blow him up? They've now for all intents and purposes, foiled his only way of leaving prison. Seal up how he was getting out. But for some reason they decided hey let's put the bomb in his jail cell that way we can effectively murder him, and make him commit unintentional suicide?
In the time it took them to GET BACK TO GERARDS CELL BEFORE HE DID, PLANT THE BOMB THERE, AND LEAVE, couldn't they have just DEFUSED THE BOMB or PUT IT SOMEWHERE THAT DIDN'T KILL ANYBODY? But instead they decided to kill Gerard.
And furthermore, knowning that Gerard planned to detonate the bomb, Jamie Foxx put the bomb in the cell anyway. He knowingly made Gerard kill himself. Why doesn't Jamie Foxx and everyone that helped him get charged with murder?
Oh and another thing. Why is the District Attorney (Jamie Foxx) investigating, well, anything? That's what detectives are for. He's just a lawyer, what the FUCK is he doing investigating anything and acting like a detective the entire film? It just doesn't
make any
sense
none of it. Horrifically stupid movie. [/sp]

"these are childrens books" is not a "valid" arguement.
Hell, I'm only 15 and I'm reading Lovecraft's collected works, I was 6 when I started reading Harry Potter.
My parents awell like the Harry Potter movies and books, so do alot of adults and late-teenagers I know.
The Fighter - 9/10
Watched it in the theater when it was released and just recently watched it again, a very good movie I must say
harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban
7/10, I can see why people like the franchise so much but it just doesn't do it for me
wizards are still totally gay
[editline]17th July 2011[/editline]
and the whole time travelling shit in that movie was such a copout
[editline]17th July 2011[/editline]
it also never makes any sense and even though it tried it's best to foreshadow the time travelling events it still came off as a kind of deus ex machina to me and i didnt enjoy it
[editline]17th July 2011[/editline]
harry dont u see... the reason u survived is because future you appeared and saved u
its a miracle
It's a movie.
are you literally kidding me right now in saying that movies don't need to make sense
fantasy still needs to make sense within that fantasy world
The Azkaban movie is a piece of garbage compared to the book.
All of them are. :v:
The only REALLY REALLY good ones are the two first ones and the Deathly Hallows ones.
are you literally kidding me right now in saying that movies don't need to make sense

This is where the movie fails, it dosen't explain anything.
Which the book does.
"its a fantasy im allowed to throw in a time travelling mechanic so that everything is resolved by their future selves which makes no sense because everything would have had to happen the bad way before the future selves stepped in to fix it but if that were the case they would be dead so they would not be able to do so
oh
oops"
no matter HOW many people try to make time travelling make sense, nobody has ever managed to do it
even terminator 2 is guilty of that, but that doesn't matter because it's so fucking good in every other way you don't even think about that
fantasy still needs to make sense within that fantasy world
But it's a fantasy, sense is already not made therefore why does it need to?
Source Code 8/10
Very cool technology sci-fi movie, never a boring moment. Enjoyed it alot.

ok that's it i'm officially done with you.
please come back when you realise how retarded what you just said is
[editline]17th July 2011[/editline]
like, that's 'are you fucking kidding me' stupid
I hate magic and spells and wizards and shit
Actually, Prisoner of Azkaban is one of the most popular Harry Potter movies, mostly because of the last hour. The beginning of the movie is so slow though.
i do too i just never got into that shit
read the first book when i was about 10 and said 'what is this gay shit' and didnt read any of the others
ok that's it i'm officially done with you.

Fair enough, if you need to make sense of people being able to fly with brooms with no scientific explanation to back it up... go right ahead and enjoy what you're doing. :v:

the last hour was easily the worst part about it. it was such a clusterfuck of retardation and messy plot.
i actually enjoyed it more up until then because it was all like 'some dark shit is going down' but then it completely did not and it got exponentially gay and their future selves saved their past selves
magnets

Physics =/= plotline
In that world, people can use magic to do things otherwise impossible in accordance to science.
That however does NOT excuse POOR STORYTELLING and ILLOGICAL TIME TRAVELLING. The plotholes with time travelling, especially in this film, are so deep and rich that you can't even magic them away. It doesn't work and just left me going 'hang on what the fuck', not to mention 'it turns out he saved himself' was the gayest thing ever, not to mention anti climactic
Character's actions and decisions need to make sense. The whole magic thing aside, they are people with brains. Their actions still need to make sense.
it was such a clusterfuck of retardation and messy plot.
It's a great movie. The only one out of the lot that I respect.
It's a great movie. The only one out of the lot that I respect.
Why? Having only seen the first, and snippets of the second, I can easily say I disliked this one more.
I don't care what the poster AK'z on an internet forum things about it, the plot was fucking stupid. Well, up until the whole reveal it was alright, it could have been so much better. But that was completely fucked up in the last act which was just an incoherent mess that I didn't enjoy
Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2 are pretty good and I highly advise watching them.
It's a great movie. The only one out of the lot that I respect.
I can't believe this.
You actually like the third one more than the first two? :colbert:
The fact people like the third one more than the two first is because they were pretty much exact copies of the books, so several scenes got pretty boring. And, the second one is almost just a copy of the first one.
Nooot really.
Maybe in atmosphere, but not otherwise.
