Yesterday I saw Source Code, I would give it an eight if it wasn't for the ending, that drops it down to a 7/10.
And I just saw A Serbian Film, think I'll give it 9/10, truly a masterpiece.
But the comedy elements were so well written !

Insidious - 6/10
There were good moments where they know how to make you jump, but that is mainly consisting of the soundtrack, not the visual aspect. Not the mention the rather inappropriate comedic moments that they tried to stuff into a horror film and a number of other cheesed scenes.
I know I'm late but I didn't find anything in the movie funny, can you post an example or quote?

The guy who looked like Darth Maul was pretty goofy.
Sucker Punch - Visually pleasing and mildly entertaining. Good for unwinding which is exactly what I needed. However, it is almost disgustingly exploitative of the actresses. I mean... is it really necessary to have everyone showing that much skin all throughout the movie? That kind of ruined it for me.
Oh and...the huge Samurai scene at the beginning was disappointing. I was expecting them to at least put up a fight.
A Serbian Film - 9.5/10
Some people may call it a sick movie, but I call it a masterpiece.
A Serbian Film is a terrible film that was just made for shock value, and you call it a masterpiece? Why?
Dirty Harry, 10/10.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows 1/2 8.9/10
Hot Fuzz. Still as good as the first time I saw it.
"You're a doctor, deal with it.
Yeah, motherfucker!"
Limitless - 6 / 10
So disappointing. Okay, it was decent, I really liked the direction and effects, hence the score I'm giving it, and Bradley Cooper did a pretty good job, the plot was somewhat original, but of course they took the safe, cliche route with what I felt was an anti-climactic ending and again I was left thinking "That's it?" I also don't know what I was supposed to take away from this. Seemed like it was turning into a D.A.R.E. commercial until the end, so I don't know. Even drug addicts can be president if they get clean?

King's Speech - 9/10
Wasn't my favorite type of film, but it was good.

I like how it all plays out, a guy waking up and don't remember shit, and follow some clues to get to places so he can get a flashback of what happened, and finally leading him to his family.
Harry Potter 1 - 6/10
A bit generic and boring.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows part 2 - 9/10
Why did it take this long to get the films just right?

He probably judges it in artistic depth. In a sense you can call anything a masterpiece with a worthy explanation.
However I don't think that guy is worthy therefore he is deluded.

I agree but since it's bound to be a classic.
Key Largo 6/10
quite boring and nothing much happens.
Buried - 8/10
As good a film you could make with Ryan Reynolds being trapped in a box for 90 minutes. Suspense through the whole film made it pretty damn good, and just watching him go through all the emotion that would probably be brought on from his experience. Experience is probably the wrong word...
Unknown - 7 / 10
Sort of a little bit like Taken, but nowhere near as good...
Taken - 9 / 10
Liam Neeson is such a bad ass!
Currently watching blade runner
my first impression
Boobs
Human Centipede had some truly artistic aspects to it, I call it a masterpiece. Take the doctor for instance. You can just see in his eyes that no matter how smart he is, nobody will accept him. He manifests this by attaching three humans together and making them eat their own shit.

That was my impression.
When I was seven.
My "first impression" some months ago:
"I love this movie so much, this is what a good Cyberpunk movie is."
Now it's
"Boobs and flying cars and 80s/70s style sci fi computers"
Still mainly boobs
[editline]20th July 2011[/editline]
and sci fi chinatown

i read that Human Centipede is going to be a trilogy.
Yesterday: Cinderella Man. 6.5/10.
I don't like Russell Crowe and I don't like Renee Zellweger. The boxing scenes were alright though
Today: A Beautiful Mind. 7.5/10
I still don't really like Russell Crowe but the film really interested me. John Nash is such an interesting guy.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
9/10
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
6.5/10
Just like any other HP movie, it fails to re-create some scenes which are fulcral to the book. Seriously, the way Neville's part was treated is shameful. In the book, he takes a level in badass. In the movie, it could have been anyone to cut Nagini's head)
And then, it add some useless, stupid scenes: the "Come on Tom, let's finish this the way we started" BS is really...well...BS. And honestly, breakind the elder wand? Seriously?!?!
Oh well... still an entertaining movie and, probably, a good movie for people who have not read the book but for me it was a big meh.
I usually don't give a damn how close a movie is to the book. I just look at the movie as a stand-alone piece so unless they miss the point completely ,like an adaptation of The Great Gatsby where Gatsby and Daisy get together in the end and they all live happily ever after, then I really don't care.
Alien³ - Assembly/Director Cut
8/10
Damn good movie.

We're thinking in terms of the first two being 10/10s so I didn't expect a masterpiece. I was delivered a great thrill with a somewhat different aesthetic style to the others. I'm amazed.
I loved the chase sequences, I thought the acting was surprisingly good and I can't really come to terms with how underappreciated it is.
The first is a horror, the second is the action, and the third is the meaning.
Now I have another Alien movie to watch... predictably butchering this great trilogy.
If you haven't watched the Assembly Cut and want to read the additions that have been put in I've put it in spoilers
[sp]The Assembly Cut has several key plot elements that differ from the theatrical release. The alien gestates in an ox rather than a dog, and one of the inmates discovers a dead facehugger. Ripley's body washes up on the shore of the planet in the special edition instead of being found in the ship's wreckage as in the theatrical cut. Some scenes are extended to focus more on the religious views of the inmates. The inmates succeed in their attempt to trap the alien, but it is later released by the disturbed inmate Golic. In this version, the alien Queen does not burst from Ripley's chest as she falls into the furnace. There is also a scene in the prison's assembly hall where one of the inmates suggests to Dillon that they lead the creature to the furnace so that they can incinerate it in the fire. One notable scene that was still not restored for the DVD or Blu-Ray extended versions was the full autopsy scene. Greg Cannom, who worked on the Special Make-Up Effects, said in the Alien Quadrilogy special features that, "I saw the rough cut of the film, uncut, and there were some scenes in there that were pretty gross. There was an autopsy scene on the girl [Newt] and I like certain gore in the films. I do it [professionally], and it made me sick. It really grossed me out and I remember people got up and left, walked out of the theatre and I was just thinking, 'This will never be in the film. They can't show this stuff.' It was just too much I thought. And when the film came out, it wasn't in the film."[/sp]
Shaun of the Dead
Oh god, such a great comedy/zombie movie, I've just seen it so it's a big 10/10 in my head right now
