predator best movie all time
ye Predator owns but I think it lacks the emotional bonding, both between the characters and the ones the viewer get to the characters, films like Terminator 2 got
Well, the last 3 are:
Mean Streets 10/10
Perfect in every way.
HAM: Living Dead 9/10
Documentary (rockumentary) film on the greatest Icelandic rock band in history.
Full Metal Jacket 10/10
So fucking beautiful...
Silence Of The Lambs
7/10
Great acting, thought it'd be a horror though

The only connection Predator and Terminator have is Arnie
They shouldn't be compared against each other
Rango - 8/10
Surprisingly good and mature "children's" movie. Liked it a lot.
ive just watched Forgetting Sarah Marshal and I rate it 5/5 :)
Transformers 3
3/10
Terribad, but it's what I expected, so I'm not even disappointed.
Only reason to watch this in theaters is for the Sound Design
Transformers 3 - 5/10
The best part about it was that there was some woman in the audience near me who kept shouting at the characters. She must have been disabled but it was still funny.
Also there was a part in it that reminded me of another film but I can't remember what it is. They put cybertron right next to earth, and the shots of it looked just like something else. I think it might have been a doctor who episode but I'm not sure
Reminded me of "End of time"
Capote
8.8/10
Hoffman found it far too easy to do that role wow.
True Grit (2010) - 8/10
Horrible Bosses - 5/10 funny enough to not hate
last movie I saw by my own choice:
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? 9/10 wow holy fuck, that was uncomfortable and glorious. Sort of like a less realistic Cassavetes film I guess, but with a more hollywood story. (this was at a time when being hollyood ish was a good thing)

I wanna see that movie. When I was a kid my step-mother would read Virginia Woolf novels in a droning voice putting emphasis on syllables of words that shouldn't really be emphasized. She scared me so I should probably relate to the movie. Wait, what's the movie about again?
well, it's not about Virginia Woolf. I don't know exactly how the title came to be, just apart of the films dialogue. It's about this couple who's on the edge and it's really insane. watch it right now.
Just rewatched the first Alien. God what a shitty movie, even for something from the 70's, it was shitty. I remember sort of liking it when I saw it as a child, but it's totally one of those things that you can only enjoy when you're a kid, and when you're an adult you're like, "Oh right, this is fucking garbage." Not scary, entertaining or interesting in the least.

Wow, I really don't know what to say to that. It's a classic sci-fi horror, but whatever. Your opinion.

I can't believe you say that I have bad opinions.

The only thing worse than saying you hate Seinfeld on the internet, is saying you hated Alien. Disconnect your ethernet cable, your internet permissions have been revoked.

I do agree with you on him being wrong as hell but just saying it got a lot of great reviews is a pretty weak move coming from you considering that I've seen you hate on a lot of films that have gotten high praise as well.
Yeah I know but dude
It's Alien
[editline]22nd July 2011[/editline]
Sci-fi/horror masterpiece
I'm willing to bet he hated the film because it was 'boring', he had a better taste in film when he was young in that case because his adolescent self seems to have grown accustomed to fast pacing
He's entitled to his opinion, let him think what he wants
Alien is one of the "greats" and I watch some of the greats because they're supposed to be the best movies of all time, and more often than not they're just average movies to me.
The 40-year-old Virgin
9/10
The Pianist 9.5/10
I remember watching half of this in my history class years ago and after watching it all tonight I'm amazed. Hard to believe some of that shit actually happened. One of the best war films I've seen without a doubt.
I've never seen Alien btw.
well some people are dumbasses who took you literally because they have only been on the internet for 20 minutes
See it, it's good
I've never seen Alien btw.
Then why did you go on and bash it?
I don't understand.

It's intense bro.
Although the first 30 minutes are supposed to be "boring", it's a great experience.
You need to be more immersed when you watch a movie.

It's brilliant, but a bit dramatized. That German dude that helped him was actually alive for 5 years after the end of the war, and petitions were sent to keep him alive.
REALLY? When it first came out, I thought it was the best in the series.
For some reason, my most memorable scene is the dance scene between Harry and Hermione. Nothing is said, but the effect it had was great.
The cinematography was fucking incredible, the acting was top notch...
there is one thing I didn't like, though. I hated the scene in the ministry of magic where they change into adults. It just went on and on and on and on...
It's not a bad film, i just didn't enjoy it that much.
I agree that the dance scene was memorable but the rest of the whole movie is kinda slow and i got bored. Dunno, maybe it was just me, maybe i was just tired or something.
Then why did you go on and bash it?
I don't understand.
Because
Except that it was such a horrible film that hid it's lack of anything interesting or special to say behind it's arthouse vaneer. Basically it's a film that tricks people into going 'Well I didn't understand that one bit... so it must be amazing (or I must SAY it's amazing so that people don't think I'm stupid and uncultured).
It's kind of like a poor man's 2001. Except a lot stupider and a lot more pointless and unfulfilling.
[editline]14th July 2011[/editline]
It's akin to watching the trailer 20 times on repeat. Except the trailer is better than the film, so I would say watch the trailer 20 times instead of actually watching the film.
The main difference is the trailer leaves you wanting excited for more. The film just leaves you disappointed and without any of the answers the trailer posed.
and

So.....your step-mother is the female equivalent of Christopher Walken?
