Billy Connolly?
A man whose filmography includes, among others, masterpieces of modern cinema such as Gulliver's Travels, X-Files: I Want To Believe, Garfield: A Tale Of Two Kitties, Who Is Cletis Tout?, and Indecent Proposal.
Yup, I'd have to go with "fucking retard" on this one.

He is a fantastic comedian, if you deny this, then you're clearly autistic.
Gattaca a solid 9/10.
Great movie, great theme. Liked the fact it was set in near future. Also digged Jude Law in this film.

He's no Dane Cook, I'll tell ya.
And autism jokes are pretty old, I'd replace "autistic" with "a braindead apechild".
[editline]25th August 2011[/editline]
Yeah, that's a pretty good one.

You think Dane Cook is funny? Obvious troll is obvious, only 13 year-olds still find him funny.

Some Like it Hot 10/10 one of the funniest films that I've seen in a while.
who was the main character?
Jar Jar Binks.
Also I think Revenge of the Sith is on par with the first two movies.
Appocolypto: 8.5/10 say what you will about Mel Gibson but he sure knows how to tell a story.
"First two"?

i really like darren aronofsky but I did not like the wrestler, at all. i just didn't resonate with the character, it has some pretty backwards messages. and then in the end [sp]he basically killed himself out of a selfish sense of pride and self worth. wtf dude[/sp]
did not like that one, i do however like most of his other films a lot.

Dude that gave me goosebumps. Unless you weren't a wrestling fan as a kid. :)

[editline]26th August 2011[/editline]
it seems like it was trying way to hard to be weird and most of the people i know just say they like it because they dont really get it and dont want to feel dumb
Well I don't think it made much "sense" but I liked the experience. It was freaky.
I haven't posted in a while, and watched a load of films since then.
Horrible Bosses: 7.5/10 Funnier than I was expecting, nice dark humour in places which I wasn't expecting despite the morbid setup. Kevin Spacey was brilliant. A shame that some of the best jokes were spoilt by the trailer.
True Grit (1969): 7/10 Good western, Cogburn's such a badass. I really want to see the remake now, with Jeff Bridges being one of my favourite actors.
Snatch: 8.5/10 One of those films I always heard people talk about but somehow hadn't seen. I wasn't expecting it to live up to what I'd heard but it was actually better than I was expecting.
Snakes on a Train: 4/10 Standard Asylum fare, technically terrible but the characters and piss-poor CGI make it really entertaining. I enjoyed it, despite giving it only 4.
The Maltese Falcon: 9/10 It's great. First Bogart film I've seen, too.
Groundhog Day: 9/10 Bill Murray.
Bubba Ho-Tep: 8/10 Ended up watching this because my dad's had it on DVD for years from a friend, and hadn't watched it. I watched the Evil Dead series for the first time a couple of weeks ago, then remembered we had this on DVD. I really, really enjoyed this film. "Elvis and a black JFK fight a cowboy mummy."
I've still got more to post, but I'll break it up into a couple of posts.

The movie showed that after a certain age people won't/can't simply change, so he keeps breaking his promises and of course after being handed so many opertunities he won't simply be forgiven for his deeds. [sp]The thing that was most touching was when he lost his daughters trust, something that is very hard to be broken since children are always very loyal to their parents. He didn't just simply kill himself out of pride(it plays a part), he did it because he gave up. Or atleast that's how I've experienced it.[/sp]
The fact that it ends like that makes it a bit more realistic instead of most of that mumbo jumbo symbolism bs you see in a lot of movies where there will always be a happy end.
I for one didn't like I Am Legend.
[sp]I liked the movie untill that part where he met those new people and especially that part where the window would crack in the shape of a butterfly and you hear his kid whisper: 'Look daddy, a butterfly', for me that is where the whole movie collapsed while it wasn't that bad at all to start with. I know, I know, not really a happy or a sad ending, but the sybolism was waaaay too much for my liking[/sp]
Just watched forrest gump
10/10
one of the greatest stories i've ever heard
will watch the Three Colours trilogy.
I love those movies. If you liked those you gotta check out Kieślowski's Decalogue films.

The Double Life of Véronique is also one that you should watch. One of the most beautiful movies I've seen.
