you gave I am legend a 5/10? what's wrong with you? [editline]28th August 2011[/editline] also that ending follows the book if I read the youtube comment correctly
I liked the first half of the film where it was just Will Smith, that was really good. The rest of the movie is terrible. I don't get your point, are you saying it's worth more than a 5 or less? Because the theatrical ending was so disgustingly offensive and terrible. [editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
lol, I hear you man. I hang out with my younger sister a lot too, but I have to be really selective about what I watch with her. Damn annoying!
Ive been watching hardcore horror and sexual comedies with my little brother since he was even younger than that, and i also don't care about sexual jokes while watching things with my parents, who cares? seriously guys grow up
I loved the acting but some of the scenes were a bit long and got me bored
It is a slow movie that requires you to absorb it, it's not something like Pulp Fiction.
It is a slow movie that requires you to absorb it, it's not something like Pulp Fiction.
I guess I would have enjoyed it more if I watched it alone without distractions
I guess I would have enjoyed it more if I watched it alone without distractions
Yeah, although it's nice to watch movies with a friend you can only truly be absorbed when alone.
Watched Tron Legacy. Would rate it 2/10. While being based on a very, very interesting idea, the movie itself was bland and trivial.
I watched Crank the other night. It was enjoyable indeed, I'll give it a 8/10
Fight Club 10/10 Holy shit that was incredible, I was smiling the whole time. Everything was great, the music, the acting, the story. During the movie I thought "they only met for a while oh the plane how did he [sp]know where he lived[/sp] how did they let such a massive loophole slip through?" and then he entered the hotel room and this movie that was already raising my standards fucking blew my mind.
If you have not seen this GO WATCH IT NOW
X-Men First Class 7.5/10 good, but not brilliant.
Thor. 7/10 Very good movie

Anyone seen The Devil's Double yet?
The Inbetweeners Movie - 9/10. Incredibly funny and great fun to watch. Final Destination 5 - 8/10. Infinitely better than the last atrocity. The deaths were very well done and it actually had an interesting story and characters. Also an amazing ending.
Mr.Nobody 6.5/10 Hard to rate this movie, since it was so weird. Not in a bad way though. It's the kind of movie you'd have to watch twice to understand it fully. The space/future scenes were definitely the best parts. Also, watching this movie felt like it took an entire day. Never ever has 2h30m felt so long.
Watched Rebel Without a Cause, Public Enemies and The Wicker Man today. Rebel Without a Cause might be a new favourite of mine, I found it to be similar to Fight Club in some ways. Public Enemies is pretty good but not as good as I expected, had it not been for Johnny Depp and Christian Bale it'd probably just have been 'average'. The Wicker Man is awesome. Bloody heathens. [sp]Just realised that all of these end with either the protagonist or other major character's death. That's put me on a bit of a downer.[/sp]
Dead Poets Society: 10/10: A great movie with a great message portrayed by a great cast and great writing. In short, this movie is great.

Everything makes sense after the 2nd time you watch it.
X-Men First Class - 8/10 Very well executed, and I liked it better than the other X-Men films. The finale wasn't as good as the rest of the film but it was still very good. Only real problem was that some of the mutants were crap, and not just because they had lame powers. Emma Frost, Angel, Whirlywindyman and Banshee spring to mind. Plus for some reason Hank was really angsty about his deformed feet then apparently perfectly fine, or at least generating no sympathy, when he turned into a monster with blue hair. Devout catholic policeman meets naked pagans and Christopher Lee wicker man or NO NOT THE BEES OH NO MY EYES wicker man? Both are worth a watch.

Speaking of the remake, I was just on the IMDB boards for the original and someone posted this thread: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070917/board/thread/173757460?d=173757460&p=1#173757460
Time for a remake? I was thinking they should remake this movie, only to appeal to American audiences they should make the central character a Californian traffic cop, and they should replace the apples with bees to make it topical (colony collapse syndrome), and they could have the island community as a matriarchy to mirror the organisation of the hive; and maybe instead of a clown costume the guy could dress up as a bear and punch out women ... OK forget it, it was a dumb idea, I'm just rambling here.
Just said 'Go fuck yourself' and then the scene ended. Awesome.
So you're fine with sitting there with your parents while watching a woman give a man a blowjob? or clearly hinting at kinky sex moves
I watched Weeds with my family. Now THAT can be a bit awkward, but it's still good.
Hunter Prey 8.4/9
Black Hawk Down 8.5/10 It had way too much gunfire in it. There would be a couple of minutes of dialogue immediately followed by ongoing banging and wizzing bullets. But I did enjoy it for an action flick!
Patton 9/10 Truly great... it's a classic. One issue I had was the man was General Turgidson in Dr Strangelove... so easy to compare. In all seriousness, it's brilliant. A Single Man 8/10 Liked it a lot, although I'm not homosexual it had heart.
Just got done watching Die Hard 3, I give it 9/10. I love the Die Hard series, plus this one had not just one, but TWO of my favorite actors: obviously Bruce Willis, and the other is Samuel L. Jackson.
13 Assassins 9/10 First half was kind of slow but once the finale started it became a completely different movie. Highly recommended.
After seeing Mr.Nobody, I wanna watch more like this. Is "The Fountain" a good choice then?
