I like that he is a Dick's employee who is eating at Hooters but come on... the product placement.

He did product places of those two particular restaurants to make subtle innuendo.
Am I the only one who doesn't get why people hate product placement? I'd much rather people eat cheetos vs cheese balls.
Or use Apple products and not some tacky knock off.
A LOT of films couldn't exist without some product placement. Makes the world look believable. I know it's a comedy movie and everyone has seen that clip so they think Adam Sandler is money hungry but come on. It's how movies work nowadays guys :v:
here's my forumla to make a good trailer for your WACKY PG13 COMEDY
subtle happy go lucky catchy tune
music stops, WACKY THING happens or WACKY THING is said. bonus points if there's a record stop, THOOOOM, or another comical sound effect.
cut to MORE INTENSE happy go lucky tune. the character(s) talk about the plot, maybe? idk it doesn't matter.
TEXT or something pops up, i guess, which is either the actors' names, or clever words leading up to the title. the music is at its most intense at this point.
intense music continues, the screen now has the movie's title. bonus points if the music stops and another WACKY THING happens after the trailer is done.

Having a product there as it would be for real, that's product placement, but that's one thing. Having an entire movie center around an ad executive trying to get a star for a Dunkin Donuts commercial, with a Royal Caribbean cruise advert in the middle for no reason, and with frequent shots like THIS?

THAT'S the Happy Madison way!

Have you seen Iron Man 3? It was a great movie, up until the scene where [sp]the kid had a room full of super fast computers that all said "FiOS QUANTUM" on them, blatantly advertising an internet service that's gonna look super dated in like two more years.[/sp] Like what the fuck, Verizon?

Don't forget the single dad and the romantic sub-plot.

You've got a generic comedy down pat, but that's not Adam Sandler. Adam Sandler always writes his character as a loud, social reject who hates his family. And also is sometimes a sex offender.
His movies aren't classy enough to be low brow, they're like a pubic brow or something.
I've always been a fan of Sandler especially because of You don't mess with the Zohan. Now if you think I'm not allowed to have an opinion go on and rate me dumb.
okay i know a thread about adam sandler isn't the most appropriate place but fuck the idea that freedom of speech and ability to have your own opinion == being completely exempt from criticism
fuck that logic, i have the right to call people out for having shitty opinions just as much as they have the right to have them
The second half of the movie "click" is the only time I ever felt an emotion besides anger while watching Adam Sandler on a screen

Now, I think your opinion is shitty and fuck your opinion. We could have an infinitely long arguement as to why your/my opinion is wrong.

Okay? I'm not sure I see your point here. I'm cool with you criticizing the opinion that opinions aren't infallible, (because by seizing the right to criticize it you're proving my argument anyway)
I don't see why saying that someone has a dumb opinion means they're not allowed to have it. There's a complete difference between being unable to have a highly disagreeable opinion and just having one.

ty for vaguely describing a summer comedy trailer but i dont know what point you're trying to make
if trailers are supposed to be some special shit than hundreds wouldn't have started with the same guy placing you ~in a world~
Well, atleast it looks like he's taking it easy on the product enforcement.
