INB4 someone quotes that "We know for certain that there is no intelligent life in the milky way system, besides us." ...oh wait.
In 2,500,000 years, you'd think they would die, run out of energy or other essentials, or have ship problems, or something
They aren't human keep in mind. So maybe they live 6000000000 years and only eat twice in their lives and need nothing else to sustain themselves? I am of the belief that there is something out there. It's all too big for there not to be. But I don't think we'll be meeting them any time soon.

Just read this thread for the first time and lol'ed like a llama at OP. 'we know for certain there is not other life in the milky way' - bravo OP
OP is 7

Seriously metabolism dictates that would never happen, or else it would have to be effectively a god.
wormholes
Exactly. Where as nothing can move THROUGH SPACE faster than time, that doesn't mean that we can't remain still and rather move space around ourselves. Also jesus christ the energy involved in that damn.
They used mass relays to come here and soon we will get to have sex with blue aliens.

maybe the aliens did come to earth and we are the offspring of an alien-monkey hybrid, therefore we are the aliens that we are looking for :psyduck:
The thing is, we only know the speed of light based on the things around us, don't we use like 5% of our brain or something? These aliens could be highly intelligent and have different ways of travelling with speed. Just because we measure in metres, KM, miles, speed of light, etc doesn't mean that revolves around the whole universe. They might have different sources.
they came 75 million years ago and made us susceptible to illness and disease he is trying to get me but i am winning his name is xenu.
WHY CAN'T PEOPLE ACCEPT THE FACT THAT IF THERE IS INTELLIGENT LIFE SOMEWHERE ELSE IN THE GALAXY, IT DOESN'T HAVE TO LIVE UNDER THE SAME CONDITIONS US HUMANS DO, AND THEREFOR CAN ALSO SURVIVE DIFFERENT KINDS OF WORSE CONDITIONS WITHOUT A SCRATCH?! Seriously. What if they invented a machine that made them go 500.000.000 Lightyears/second? "lol deid me liek smithereeniiz" Aliens. As I stated - they DON'T have to live under the same conditions humans do. We would be pieces of nonexistant material floating in space at that speed, but nothing says aliens would.
I believe we have intelligent life somewhere in the milky way, and as orm stated, they don't have to exist as we do they could require high temperatures, or low temperatures to survive, and may consist of acid instead of water They probably haven't visited because they have no reason to land on a planet they cannot colonize, and probably do enough studying of planets they can't nearer to home
We're not that important on this planet. There is tons of more devoloped planets out there. They'll probably just kill us and steal our shit.
Oxygen is highly poisonous to some lifeforms such as obligately anaerobic organisms, which did inhabit Earth in large numbers (in form of bacteria though) until O2 started massing up in the atmosphere. If aliens are such lifeforms, it can be presumed that they would perceive Earth as a rock planet with poisonous atmosphere.
Your theory is shot to shit because I'm an "alien." We have found a way to chart wormholes and we're able to bend space to match our will. We can go virtually anywhere we want in a very short amount of time. So yeah. You lose.
