We know for certain that there is no intelligent life in the milky way system, besides us
We don't know.
Let's be optimistic, and sey they are somewhere in the closest galaxy, the Andromeda galaxy. (even though this is very unlikely.) How far away is it? 2,500,000 Light years. That's alot. We know for a fact nothing, except light, can go at or over the speed of light.
Light moves always at c (in vacuum). Never faster or slower.
So let's be optimistic and say they went just under the speed of light, by a tiny smidge. Of course, then it would take over 2,500,000 years. That's also alot. Two and a half million years. Keep in mind, about four thousand years ago, we had no civilizations.
Wormholes. Alcubiere-Drive alias Warp. All you provided was, that humanity at it's current stage is unable to reach the stars. I totally agree. But superious races might have already figured out how to explore space. Still it's unlikely they detected us because of the vast space.
Firstly, we DO NOT know for certain that there is no intelligent life in the Milky Way...are you dumb? The simple fact that you added that takes your credibility to low for most anyone. We haven't even cataloged or discovered most of the stars and systems and objects in the Milky Way, let alone scanned them on a million different frequencies and different methods of communication or anything of the sort- Secondly, no, we wouldn't know if a wormhole was near us, because we don't know what to look for. We've never seen a wormhole, and can only remotely theorize on what one is, what makes it up, what to look for and where they might possibly be. Thirdly- just because there are no wormholes nearby- not that that's proven or accurate- I'm going to bring up the technology argument here. In the year 2 BC, do you think that anyone would have ever, in a million years, thought up and understood a modern Boeing 747? A mere 50 years ago, could anyone have even remotely understood something like the internet? Even with our so-called advanced knowledge in WWI, would anyone have ever dreamed of the idea of the Atomic bomb, as large and created in such a way as they are? The simple answer is no. At every point in time, we always think that this is it. This is the high point of technology- we understand all,t here is nothing else to be discovered. Sure, there are improvements, I can see these things coming about, but that tech and science behind them will not exist until someone discovers it, most likely, or builds upon what we know now. Well, that's what alot are saying now. Because we don't have the tech to do this or that, and we haven't discovered a way to do this or that or this says this or that is impossible, it simply cannot happen. Never. Nowhere, no how. Well fuck you, dipshits. You think anyone would have thought that 200+ people could fly in a giant machine using fucking jets and particle goddam physics of the way air moves? Do you think those people back in 2 BC had any idea what the fuck oxygen was? Let alone particles of matter and mass, or how they interact with something such as a metal alloy, or had any clue how to work electricity? No. They didn't. And the simple fact was that they believed, just as all you people do now, is that even any single one item of anything that makes a plane work simply was impossible. But now look at us. Simply because you say that there is no way, or we haven't found a way yet does not mean there isn't a way to do it. Imagine in a thousand years- what kind of technology will we have? Wait. You can't. Because the concepts and the way in which that tech works will be so alien, so advanced, so inunderstandable to you and me that the simple idea of whatever they may come up with will make our brains explode. So don't tell me your speed-of-light BS, or your time BS or your lack-of-tech BS, because we've already moved particles faster than the speed of goddam light, and there is no fucking way that you can predict what kind of technology we will have in 1000 years, so don't tell me you know what a whole nother race of completely different beings has. FOURTHLY, you asshats don't seem to undersand that everything we base our 'science' of aliens on is based around US. Carbon-based, simple, human, Earth-like evolved lifeforms. Well throw that shit out the window. You all base the idea that they can't do this or that or exist like this or here or there around the fact that they would be Earth-like, carbon-based lifeforms. Well here's one for ya. What if these things are fucking magnesium-based, liquid lifeforms that don't need air because they can absorb nutrients our of the fucking soil around them, and can live in environments of 1000000 K or some shit because of their base chemical properties. And ontop of that, these things have extremely long lifetimes because unlike carbon and our biology, they don't fucking decay or age or have to worry about the same shit we do. So they can afford to sleep for 1 gajillion lightyears to get here,a nd to them it's barely a fucking nap. There goes your shit, doesn't it? It's asshats who are all like "Ooo nothing living can go faster than this speed and can't survive for this long and bla bla bla". Well fuck that shit, because you're basing it around our evolution, or Earth, our environment, not that of some plant way out there where life evolved from fucking Boron or some shit. So between Three and Four, you have no fucking argument. Seriously. None, because we have no proper data to state that if there are lifeforms out there they base their lives and evolution and bodily systems and whole fucking physics, basically, around the same things we do, and obey to the same technology level as us, simply because that's all we understand. Fifthly- UFOs could have fucking visited Earth. For all you know,t hey could have technology superior to ours, discovered some way to travel fast, or to live long or sleep long, or use wormholes, or manipulate time-space, or even use something we haven't even discovered yet. We're just getting started into quantum physics, and look at all the zany shit that brings up. For all we know we're just at the tip of the iceberg and these alien sons of bitches and zip around through Dark-nueron-proto-anti-matter-particle-nuetrino-whatevers like we drive a car to work. And no, I'm not saying we should believe everyone and their mums, but come on- look at some of this shit. Rendlesham, Cash-Landrum, Jesus Christ people. When you have people like the fucking President of the US and goddam police officers and members of the fucking airforce coming forth and saying "This shit went down. I saw it, and heres my testimony/evidence", then you know there's some shit going on. And then when the fucking KGB and CIA and FBI set up whole fucking departments and groups just to investigate it, then there's no doubt that it's a legitimate topic. Maybe they aren't 4 foot grey, big-eyed buggers, but there's nothing to say they aren't and quite a bit to say they are. Like I said, you shouldn't believe everyone and their mums, but there are those few that really are convincing, that have the evidence or have the prestige to be taken seriously. So when you're outside and see a giant fucking light in the sky zipping about like some fucking giant kid in the sky playing with a sparkler and you can't explain it any other way, you don't really get much of a choice anymore as to what your opinion on the topic is, because it was just proven to you. The UFO phenomena is growing- not only are people becoming more aware to it and actually caring, so are the world's governments. At this point, anyone who still, after all these years, at least doesn't consider the topic as serious and still points out swamp gas and weather balloons and drunk hillbillies and shrugs off the topic without doing proper research is just as bad as any ignorant, one-sided religious extremist or dumbass internet debater who doesn't know shit coming into an argument.
I seriously don't think you could prove your point anymore, that was a thick statement. I learned something today... thank you for putting that wonderful wall of text up so I could read it.
Damn, that got me thinking...
OP is retarded. That being said, I strongly doubt aliens have visited the Earth. The probability of intelligent life existing is very high, but that does not mean that you wacky types can go assume things have to be from alien intelligences. You're no better than creationists, assuming everything came from God.
What makes you think an advanced alien race would even want to visit our backwater planet?
Good point, this planet sucks. Everyones a dick here.
Who are we to think that we are so important? In reality, we are so inconceivably insignificant, we have to be the megalomaniac animals with the sense of self-importance otherwise wed go insane.

Of course it isn't possible. If any of you take physics, you know that to travel the speed of light with mass; you must have an infinite amount of energy. Not to even mention the physical damage. The nearest planet with life-supporting capabilities on par (or near) with that of earth is over 100ly away.
Based on the OP, I'm going to go ahead and say that he's a troll. Do I need to re-quote the one that has been 5 times over?
I don't think there is anything special about Stonehenge in how it was constructed. I remember seeing a guy a while back that was building a replica of it in his backyard by him self with techniques that where possible back in the time of the originals construction. With enough determination anything is possible. I think aliens have been coming and going for a while now and the governments of earth know about it.
Stonehenge, each of the rocks weighed a few tons, the rocks that were used, were from miles away. I don't think we would walk out in the middle of the field with those big rocks and just place them there perfectly.
I don't even know what you are talking about.
Your argument that aliens don't come to Earth was the usage of the common stereotype and comical point about anal probes. I countered with a similarity of tagging. You said they were different. My counter was that you don't know, since you have no understanding or an alien race's workings, culture, etc. Not that it would matter, because your argument was a stereotype, so I countered by stating that since we're using stereotypes for arguments, I'd state another theory and base my evidence around a common, but obviously untrue, stereotype, such as what you did.

Way to double post, douche. All that was in quintessence is a bullshit rant with swearing and some of the most closed minded remarks I have ever heard. Do you understand the physics involved in traveling faster than light? Do you know what a photon is? The implications for regular baryonic matter to travel ftl are simply impossible. Infinity in the standard model completely ruins the whole system. Who the hell are you to call carbon based life simple? If we can't see any within our own solar system, or multiple surrounding us, maybe it is harder to find than you thought. A wormhole is a tear in spacetime, the fabric of your being. Stop talking like you have any fucking clue what you are talking about because you don't.
Wait, ninja'd.
ahaha butthurt much ^^ spankwire/kukuzi
We know for certain that there is no intelligent life in the milky way system, besides us.
No, we don't.
