The Incredibles was amazing what are you talking about [editline]24th June 2011[/editline] All of them except Cars and Cars 2 should be 100 imo
Don't get me wrong, The Incredibles is actually one of my favorites, and in fact is the only Pixar film I ever bought on DVD. (I don't really buy many DVDs) However, I think Monsters Inc and WALL-E are better.
I swear I almost cried during those 2, but the Incredibles just didn't hit me the same way automerge! [editline]25th June 2011[/editline]
You notice when the Entertainment industry is going to shit when Pixar makes a bad movie
The entertainment industry isn't going to shit at all. Even for the summer blockbuster season, we've had some alright movies so far, and I'm looking forward to oscar season a lot this year. Last year was great.
The Incredible was a superhero action flick. I can't recall any moments which were meant to be tearjerkers
Rong you'd like an incredibles sequel even if it was abysmal as shit solely for the reason that it has superheroes in it [editline]25th June 2011[/editline] Incredibles doesn't need a sequel
Well one reason why I really loved the Incredibles was it was a mix of the super hero and spy genres. It takes place during the same time as the classic Bond films, plus Syndrome's base is taken right out of You Only Live Twice. I agree that Monster's Inc is slightly better, but not Wall-E. Wall-E was good but I felt it was missing something. Nemo, Toy Story 3, and Up are good too if you're looking for emotional stuff I honestly don't think I could actually rank all these films though, they're all too excellent (except the Cars movies)
i guess im the only person who liked cars. but i would rate WALL-E and UP above the Incredibles
Cars was just on TV this night (for some odd reason it had a "12 years and above" rating), and for me it was great just like any other Pixar movie. But this espionage theme is really shit for Cars 2 and they're really pushing it.
Fuck Cars 2, I am looking forward to Brave. Good lord, it sounds awesome.
Whoops i thought i posted this already. Here's a look at four (or really five if you count that last shadowy figure) characters from Brave http://geektyrant.com/news/2011/6/23/pixars-brave-heres-4-characters-from-the-film.html
My little brothers want me to watch Cars 2 with them today. I decided to go just because I'm really freaking bored at home. I thought the first Cars movie was quite decent, but after seeing the recent commercials for Cars 2, I'm having major doubts that this movie will live up the the first one. Edit: Alright, I'm going to the theaters in just a bit. I'll share my opinions on the movie when I get back.
Another image of Brave.
Cars 2 looks dumb as shit.
I don't know if this is late but there will be a 6 minute Toy Story short before Cars 2. http://www.flicksandbits.com/2011/06/23/new-image-from-pixars-%E2%80%98toy-story-hawaiian-vacation%E2%80%99/13047/
I knew cars 2 was gonna be shit as soon as I saw the state farm commercial a few weeks ago. Its made to make money from toys and advertising, not to actually be a good film
Hopefully to get the money they need to make more movies?
lol disney makes billions a year why would they need more

Just so I can hear the accents. That's part of the reason I loved How To Train Your Dragon so much: I got to listen to Gerard Butler and Craig Ferguson talk. Also lolCars2. I'll accept the Cars being talking Cars. But talking Car spies? Really? I expect Monsters University to be better because... well, Monsters Inc. was fantastic. Cars 2 probably sucks because Cars 1 wasn't very good in the first place.
Am I the only one who actually liked the first cars?
Well, I just got back from the theaters. What do I think of Cars 2? I thought it was, to say the least, okay. The thing I hated was the lack of any actual emotional scenes. I remember watching the endings of Up and Toy Story 3 and literally shedding tears because of how touching they truly were. All THIS movie truly had was just some okay humor scenes. Also, I am now getting sick of Larry the Cable Guy's Mater voice. So, final verdict, I give it a 5/10. Every other Pixar movie just tops this movie by a longshot.
Cars 2 wasn't that great. Stupid corporate advertising from statefarm.
Anybody think Pixar should take on The Brave Little Toaster? Apparently, many of the people who worked on TBLT now work for Pixar.
Cars 2 looks dumb as shit.
Saw it on Friday, it was actually okay. [editline]26th June 2011[/editline]
Cars 2 wasn't that great. Stupid corporate advertising from statefarm.
Wow you're letting an advertisement ruin the film for you

Yes but they're toys and the marketing fucking makes sense (kids movie advertising TOYS). Kids movie about cars advirtising... car insurance? And it introduces some new character thing? And it saves the fucking day? Rong you want more sequels so your opinion is wrong anyways
pixar movies are enjoyed by adults and kids. so they have a huge demographic

It doesn't seem too bad from what i've seen. Though i've really only seen the end about 20 times. Such is life working at a movie theatre.
It doesn't seem too bad from what i've seen. Though i've really only seen the end about 20 times. Such is life working at a movie theatre.
Do you see the end to lots of movies? That seems like it would ruin the movie viewing experience a great deal.
hey people anyone remember me saying that pixar was corrupted by disney and was going to start churning out terrible sequels http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/cars_2#top-critics-numbers As for Monsters Inc. 2, the last time I was at Pixar the artists working on that movie seemed about as enthused as plague victims at the dentists office. So don't expect miracles. [editline]26th June 2011[/editline] Brave looks great though, no arguing there. Dick move firing Brenda Chapman.
For some reason I never saw it until today but my god ratatouille is an amazing film
