who are you talking about
can you even tell me what the villains plan was he was an electric car who made a special renewable fuel that exploded when bombarded with electromagnetic rays, BUT he was actually a normal car that was trying to make people dislike renewable energy by engineering a race in which cars that were using his fuel were destroyed by bombarding them with electromagnetic rays because he found a massive oil reserve and wanted to make a lot of money off of it and so he wanted to make the fuel he made look unsafe so people would keep buying oil BUT it was actually just gasoline that would explode in which case why did he even bother engineering the race to make it look bad if he didn't even make a new kind of fuel in the first place so his plan was to discredit a fuel that doesn't exist by collaborating with a cabal of mobsters and evil scientists to create a race, so that cars would continue buying the gasoline that they were already buying god damn it can't you just have him be an asshole like cid [editline]5th July 2011[/editline]
People are overreacting. After 11 fantastic movies, one bad movie doesn't mean they are fucking destroyed and won't stop making bad movies.
Yeah. The fact that Pixar is now some kind of creepy Mormon church full of boring and uninteresting people controlled by a crazy manchild is what means they're going to keep making bad movies. jesus fucking christ i've been telling you people this shit for months and now cars 2 comes out and demonstrates absolutely everything i've been talking about and you still don't get it what needs to happen for you people to realize that pixar is up shit creek?
For some reason, I dont think ill be seeing Brave. Maybe on DVD in a while.
i was asking which writer you were calling a retard I don't need a plot synopsis Also you're really, really getting way into this and overreacting like an angsty teen
that's because i fucking know these people, and so i have a personal stake in this fucking studio it's like watching a close friend go senile and everyone around them denying it, like they didn't just shit their pants in public and the whole reason this is happening is because people think of them like they're fucking pharaohs or some shit and don't tell them when they're being fucking stupid and need to rethink things all i ask is for people to have fucking standards and not treat fat gay old mormons in hawaiian shirts like demigods because they made a good movie once or something
fat gay old mormons in hawaiian shirts
why is this necessary or called for
why is this necessary or called for
you give me a more apt description and i'll use it
that's because i fucking know these people, and so i have a personal stake in this fucking studio it's like watching a close friend go senile and everyone around them denying it, like they didn't just shit their pants in public and the whole reason this is happening is because people think of them like they're fucking pharaohs or some shit and don't tell them when they're being fucking stupid and need to rethink things all i ask is for people to have fucking standards and not treat fat gay old mormons in hawaiian shirts like demigods because they made a good movie once or something
It's called earning the audience's respect and faith. John Lasseter has made one of the most beloved movies of all-time. I think he can be spared as bad of a movie as Cars 2.
you give me a more apt description and i'll use it
that doesn't answer my question: why does he deserve to be called that as in what did he do for you to be so inflammatory at him
It's called earning the audience's respect and faith. John Lasseter has made one of the most beloved movies of all-time. I think he can be spared as bad of a movie as Cars 2.
Do you not understand after all this time? Cars 2 demonstrates the flaws and the problems that I've been telling you fucking people. It isn't the problem in and unto itself. It doesn't matter. What matters is that Pixar is going fucking crazy because it's inundated with a level of respect and admiration that no one should ever have. Pixar is a bunch of people in cubicles moving polygons. That's it. If they do something wrong, you say, "Hey, you fucked this up, guy." When people aren't treated as people, when people don't have their flaws recognized in any way, when they get into a bubble where nobody is honest, then they become incapable of doing anything of value. That is why I call him a fat gay old Mormon in a Hawaiian shirt, DOG-GY, because that's exactly what he is. What is Harlan Ellison except a short, fat, knobbly armed angry old Jew? Who is Gabe Newell but an aloof human sack of potatoes with hair that looks like it was glued on and a neck constructed from cling wrap and porridge? What I want to know is why that's inflammatory. What the hell is wrong with being fat, or old, or gay, or having the fashion sense of an epileptic clown? I sure as hell don't care. That's what I think when I see him. I respect his ability to gather and spot talent, his ability to inspire his crew, and his relatively decent taste. What kills me is that you call my description of him inflammatory, while the very thing that keeps him from utilizing his abilities and talents is the childlike adoration you and everyone around him constantly excrete. They are men. See them as men, treat them as men, and respect them enough and value them enough to point out when they're being fucking stupid. Or else they turn into creepy manchildren.
You're putting a lot of words in my mouth like paragraphs I don't know what you say you've been saying this whole time because I don't follow this thread regularly, I popped by to give my anecdote on a movie. I don't idolize Pixar or anyone there. I don't have any adoration towards him or them. I respect the talent there to the reasonable extent they deserve, but nowhere near what you seem to think I do. You're describing someone by stringing together a bunch of words in a derogatory manner, which comes off really inflammatory. Everything you post comes off as an attack on something, which is what I'm getting at. It's hard for you to get your point across when it seems like a bunch of angry jibber-jabber to everyone else.

yeah i was responding to that one which was a lot more clear i think i remember you saying you have friends there or something, is that right? this was a long time ago
yeah i was responding to that one which was a lot more clear i think i remember you saying you have friends there or something, is that right? this was a long time ago
yes you could have figured that out by reading my first response to you but w/e
yeah i got that bit but i was hoping for elaboration
yeah i got that bit but i was hoping for elaboration
what do you want, a picture of me and a pixar employee spooning? What matters is that I've been in and around the studio as it has grown, I have a general idea of the feelings of the people working inside the studio, and I have a personal interest in the studio. That's all that's relevant to this discussion.
what do you want, a picture of me and a pixar employee spooning?
yeah
Heh I wasn't expecting a reliant robin joke in the movie
Well the video game for Cars 2 should be good right?
The Main Location of Pixar, Most of the Pixar movies were made here. The place also looks pretty cool. Vancouver, Canada Newly Opened location of Pixar, They will continue to animate stuff for Existing movie series like Cars and Toy Story
I don't know if I'm late, but that second picture isn't one of the 'newly opened location of Pixar'. It's a picture of the Pixar exhibition in Melbourne which opened and closed in 2007. It was held at Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI); you can see the acronym printed across a window in the background. You can also tell because of the appalling Federation Square architecture.
i searched Pixar vancouver and thats what came up \:v:/
You need better Google Fu :) I think the ball and lamp might be permanently placed at the Vancouver location, though. Anyhow, it was just me being pedantic. On topic: I will confess my ever-dying love for 'Cars'. I was planning to see the sequel the day it came out, but work/moving/life got in the way. I'll be watching it soon, though. I'll also break tradition and say that Mater didn't irritate me in the first movie, so I doubt I'll be bothered by him in this one.
Two new pixar films announced http://pixarplanet.com/blog/announced-today-two-new-pixar-films
DINOSAUR PROJECT (November 27, 2013) Directed by Bob Peterson, Co-directed by Pete Sohn Produced by John Walker (The Incredibles) Concept: What if the fateful meteor that killed the dinosaurs never struck Earth? This project takes us into a world where dinos and humans co-exist, explaining the intriguing concept art we saw ages ago. INSIDE THE MIND PROJECT (May 30, 2014) Directed by Pete Docter, Co-directed by Ronnie del Carmen Produced by Jonas Rivera (Up) Concept: Pete Docter’s next project explores a world that we all know, but we’ve never seen: the human mind. When I spoke to the Monsters, Inc. director earlier this year, he hinted at this ambitious project. They’re still ironing out the details, but it sounds like it could be Pixar’s Inception.
http://pixartimes.com/2011/08/22/d23-expo-a-conversation-with-the-pixar-creative-team-wrap-up/ i was there for this, bout the 4th row back. i wanted to get up and ask a question but couldn't think of anything good. most of the other people asking questions either just said the same "you inspired me" and "thank you guys lol" bull shit that they always hear and then sat down, a few asked good questions, most of the questions sucked, oh well. but the panel itself was very entertaining. especially the mark andrews slow-motion thing. our friend had to go work so we unfortunately had to miss the monsters university thing.

"What if the fateful meteor that killed the dinosaurs never struck Earth? This project takes us into a world where dinos and humans co-exist" I CAN'T CONTAIN MY BONER. My life could always use more dinos. <3 Also, am I the only one who is reminded of Jim Henson's Dinosaurs?
