A few years back, animation giants Pixar were working on a movie called "Joe Jump", the tale of an outdated video game character who's able to find his way into new titles. It had been presumed scrap, but no, it's not! A report on the LA Times says that the film now has a new name - Reboot Ralph - and is very much alive, forming part of Disney's upcoming slate of animated feature films alongside a Winnie The Pooh flick.
This follows on from a report earlier in the year by Variety, which reckons Reboot Ralph will be a 3D cartoon and will be out on March 22, 2013.
There's practically nothing else known about the project other than that, so don't bother asking who's starring, what Joe/Ralph looks like or how movie studios are able to lock down dates so far in advance.
I want Harv in Cars 2.
Also, the Texan car was awesome.
Oh cool, Michael Caine.
Bleh, I didn't like Cars. The sequel looks just as childish as the first.
Anything to do with Reboot ?
such a shame reboot isn't being made by pixar

It's not?
[editline]23rd November 2010[/editline]
Toy Story is easily my favorite trilogy of all time.
Incredibles is my favorite.
Incredibles is awesome.
I have so much love for this company. For several years, working here has been my dream job. Seriously, I either want to work for Busch Gardens or work as a storyboard artist for Pixar (my first choice). I cry at so many of their movies. That company is just the shizz. They know how to do it right. I want to work there SO BAD. <3 c:
Pixar is one amazing company because they also have messages with their stories, even the ones that aren't obvious like Wall-E. Every story has something to think about, even with Up, a reminder on how important love is between everyone.
Wish me luck that in 7 or 8 years I work at Pixar! :D
Was anybody else aroused by the mother in The Incredibles when her plane crashed and she was in the ocean?
[editline]26th November 2010[/editline]
No?
I just re-watched Toy Story 3 and it was just as good as the first time. I love that movie so much.
Pixar is the valve of animation.
There, I just inbred a comparison.

You and gazillion other writers and artists and whatnot.
Is anyone else kinda pissed at Pixar for not following through with their The Incredibles ending cliffhanger? Even if the story was explained in a comic or a video game, it'd still be nice to see a sequel. The Incredibles was great. Instead Cars gets a sequel. How sad.
Anyone else get sad at the end of Monster Inc.?
I watched it when I was younger several times, dvd and cinema, but always found it funny. I dug through my Pixar collection, and now, that ending really had me tearing up.
It's weird growing up through the Pixar age, it's like their films hit all age groups in different ways, and we get to experience that.
For example, grown ups will always see Toy Story the same way, but I've watched it 10 times in the past 5 years and...
Well, I can't wait for a Monster Inc. sequal, anyway. :unsmith:
And Monsters Inc. gets a sequel even though the ending sealed the deal
woah we posted at the same time

I loved that little cameo from Boo in TS3.
[sp]When the camera pans across the room, the girl who looks like Boo is playing with a Blue Kitty and a Girl Doll. She makes the Kitty say "Boo!", Girl say "No no no!", then Kitty say "What's the matter, you scared?"[/sp].
But valve is also the pixar of animation :ohdear:
not saying i agree, but funny to reference pixar, because on their website, they mention them too
www.half-life.com/overview.html
"Graphics - Source’s shader-based renderer, like the one used at Pixar to create movies such as Toy Story® and Monster's, Inc.®, creates the most beautiful and realistic environments ever seen in a video game."
Huh. 2010, and they still have a beta shot or more on their website, even back in 2006, long after it was on the market.
I love how they put totoro in toy story 3
Apparently Hayao Miyazaki and John Lasseter are good friends.
I think john's A fan of Hayao.
I wasnt well today, so i just sat on the Lounge watching Pixar movies.
I watched Ratatouille, Cars then The Incredibles.
I just watched A Bug's Life!
It was amazing!
I remember seeing a Newt trailer...
Dunno what everyone has against Cars. I think its a great movie.
Also, Henry Waternoose freaked the shit out of me.
What is the next pixar movie? Or it wasn't announced yet?
A long time ago, I assumed Shrek was produced by Pixar.
Silly me! Dreamworks is nothing like them!

Shrek's an ok movie. The writing is not pixar quality, but it's rather enjoyable.
