So Pixar's Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter said in a interview yesterday that they wouldn't be picking up any IP from Marvel to do a movie.
So Pixar's Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter said in a interview yesterday that they wouldn't be picking up any IP from Marvel to do a movie.
I prefer Pixar doing original works so good
IMO Toy Story 3 had a very sad ending. Made me teary.

Just made me watch Cars again. Feels good.
So Pixar's Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter said in a interview yesterday that they wouldn't be picking up any IP from Marvel to do a movie.
Good, Pixar wouldn't be near as good if they started just picking up other people's IPs like the rest of Hollywood.
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/cars_2/ :ohdear:
That movie never should have had a sequel made. Pixar needs to do less sequels, anyways.
Pixar needs to come out with another successful original premise, its about time it happened
Pixar needs to come out with another successful original premise, its about time it happened
They should just never do sequels / prequels ever and keep pumping out the original titles.
First look at Brave.
How pretty. I'm not going to watch Cars 2, Cars 1 was pretty shit, it's a shame John Lasseter directed it :(
They should just never do sequels / prequels ever and keep pumping out the original titles.
Toy Story 3 was my favorite Pixar movie yet. Original films should definitely be concentrated on over sequels, though.
That movie never should have had a sequel made. Pixar needs to do less sequels, anyways.
i personally blame the new pixar studio that opened in vancouver, they are in-charge of all pixar sequels.
Toy Story 3 was my favorite Pixar movie yet. Original films should definitely be concentrated on over sequels, though.
Pixar never wanted to make Toy Story 2 (it was meant to be straight to DVD). So if it weren't for forcing them into doing that then Toy Story 3 wouldn't have been made, and I would've been fine with that to be honest (ie no 2 and 3, but since 2 was made might as well have 3). It was a good movie and all (especially since I'm Andy's age) but I didn't really like the whole "escape plan works the first time."
i personally blame the new pixar studio that opened in vancouver, they are in-charge of all pixar sequels.
Fucking idiots in Vancouver, should've burned that down during the riots not cars
As soon as I heard they were making a sequel to cars I knew I was never going to see it. The only reason Cars sucks so much is because Disney have a lot to do with it because they made billions of dollars from the merch.

It's a shame that Pixar merged / is Disney's bitch now
Oh hey it's a poster for Brave.
’Brave’ is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Thompson). An unruly daughter and an accomplished archer, Merida (Macdonald) one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom. In an attempt to set things right, Merida seeks out an eccentric old Wise Woman (Walters) and is granted an ill-fated wish. Also figuring into Merida’s quest – and serving as comic relief – are the kingdom’s three lords: the enormous Lord MacGuffin (McKidd), the surly Lord Macintosh (Ferguson), and the disagreeable Lord Dingwall (Coltrane).

The voice cast assembled features Kelly Macdonald (“No Country for Old Men,” “Boardwalk Empire”), Emma Thompson (“Sense and Sensibility,” “Love Actually”), Kevin McKidd (“Trainspotting,” “Dog Soldiers”), Julie Walters (“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “Gnomeo & Juliet”), Bill Connelly (“The Boondock Saints,” “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events”), Craig Ferguson (“Saving Grace,” “Doc Martin”) and Robbie Coltrane (“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “The World Is Not Enough”).
Good to see they actually got scottish people to voice act.
Adding info to the OP
i personally blame the new pixar studio that opened in vancouver, they are in-charge of all pixar sequels.
Would that include the monsters inc prequel?
Would that include the monsters inc prequel?
Oh god they better not ruin monsters inc.
Oh god they better not ruin monsters inc.
Well they are making a prequel, it's coming out after Brave. Read the OP / wikipedia I don't think it will work well because [minor plot spoilers] [sp] I think mike and sully are rivals in college but in the movie mike wasn't a scarer or didn't really even seem want / try to be. [/sp]It's kind of like retconning some of the first one, and it's also extremely pointless too
Rotten Tomato scores for pixar copied from E-Online. I added cars 2 to it (assuming the cars 2 score stays somewhat the same): Toy Story, 100 percent Toy Story 2, 100 percent Toy Story 3, 99 percent Finding Nemo, 98 percent Up, 98 percent The Incredibles, 97 percent Ratatouille, 96 percent WALL-E, 96 percent Monsters, Inc., 95 percent A Bug's Life, 91 percent Cars, 74 percent Cars 2, 38 percent There's something very wrong with this new pixar studio. Then again the movie only has about 40 reviews as opposed to the ~200 some of the other pixar movies have so maybe it's a bit too soon to really judge.
