"It just... it just fucking works." -- Todd Howard, on the subject of robots
The custom robot follower thing already existed somewhat as a mod called Robco Certified. Now I know why Bethesda hasn't released the mod tools for Fallout 4 yet, they want to charge people for what was previously free community made content. Amazing.
You do know that the wait time for the GECK is by no means unusual, right? It's been about this long every single time they release a game, the mod tools take a few months to come out afterwards. [editline]14th March 2016[/editline] Ignoring how a mod could never reach this same kind of quality too

Or fucking pokemon. People will probably make Radmon after a while. Catch or make your own rare and unique wasteland creature.
"Some may call this junk. Me? I call them the building blocks of life."
As much disdain as I have for Fallout 4 and Bethesda, customiseable robot companions is fucking sick

I can't wait until TES6 gets announced and half the fanbase whines that it should've been added as base content for Skyrim or that modders could've done it.
Can't wait till Game Theory says that the Mechanist is just Mario jumping through a portal and trying to spread communism to the Commonwealth.
I'm just waiting for the mod that will let me attach 2 Fat Man's to my sentry bot.
This looks cool, but I really just want Nick Valentine's quest DLC.
This looks cool, but I really just want Nick Valentine's quest DLC.
That could be Far Harbor. It begins with a lead he gets. He could play a larger role.
Holy shit it's Build-Your-Own Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots the DLC This is going to be amazing
I'm just waiting for the mod that will let me attach 2 Fat Man's to my sentry bot.
NPC and fatman never mix well
What if the plot twist is that the mechanist is a synth.
This looks ok, but I was really hoping for a new map to explore like they did with the previous games.
They've been pretty clear since they announced the DLC that the first one was robot companion stuff, the second is settlement stuff, and the third is going to be a new area. And then we know nothing of whatever comes after that.

Amazing.
I like RobCo (and the WIP version for FO4) but this adds way more than they could ever hope to, even with the GECK. I was worried it wouldn't be worth the price tag, but it looks pretty good so far. [editline]14th March 2016[/editline] Also I fucking love that pistol @ 40 seconds or so that is literally just a female assaultron head, that's great
protectron sentrybots a dream come true i'm going to give that protectron sentrybot those metal fucking horns
NPC and fatman never mix well
I've had like 4 run-ins with enemies using them, only one of them I survived. My pants didn't, I shit those immediately, but I managed to kill him before he could shoot me. The others I never had a chance to get away. That's one reason I like the suiciders to be honest, they can instakill you but it's hugely telegraphed and you can take them out with a shot to their carrying arm.
I have no idea why, but for some reason the music to that trailer is excellent.
Shit man, I remember him from Fallout 3. I hope the DLC is good to amend for the mediocre story of Fallout 4 atleast.

The big DLC of the first three they've announced is Far Harbor.
I figure it will probably have a pretty big-ish dungeon with a questline leading up to it, and maybe some randomly scattered modded robots around the commonwealth if we're lucky.
I'll be disappointed if the endgame upgrade isn't a mister handy body with assaultron heads for eyes. :v:
time for fisto's dominant return
Maybe he is this kid http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Derek_Pacion
This makes a lot of sense. Bethesda really doesn't like revisiting killable characters from previous games, even if it would make some sense for them to return.
And here I am still waiting for Workshop support.
I'll be disappointed if the endgame upgrade isn't a mister handy body with assaultron heads for eyes. :v:
I think you mean a floating head of liberty prime propelled by mister handy jets.
This looks fun, and the customizable robots seems like a great addition, but I hope future content is more serious in tone.
