Being a virgin after about 16 or so is shamed in our society because of how we've increasingly come to idolize and sexualize youth, therefore where society once wouldn't have cared if you're a virgin at 20, you're now considered a complete failure at life because society starts viewing people as sexually active and viable starting at 15 or 16.

I have sex with my girlfriend. I love her. We're not trying to have kids. It just feels good and we both enjoy it. I'm lucky enough to have a girlfriend that loves sex just as much as me. Hell, half the time we have sex, she is the one that initiates it.
If someone feels different about sex, who gives a fuck. As long as someone isn't trying to push their beliefs on me, I'm fine with them. It's a personal choice, and some people need to learn to get over the fact that other people have DIFFERENT opinions about intercourse.

Times change is all, back in the old days (way old), having pure white skin was a sign of good living, and generally, royalty. (Not white as in race, having like, pale, colored white skin, like most red-head females seem to have)

Today being a virgin is seen as being less of a man, and that's due to people on the internet making it seem so, which trickles down to schools and so on.
In the end it comes down to your own view, if you really don't like being a virgin, then do what needs to be done to remedy it.

Also, age limits are different from country to country, so you can't say that you're ready to take those decisions at 18 and 21.
In Denmark, for example, it's 15 and 16.

I'm making the argument that justifying the ridiculing of virgins based on natural instinct or other bullshit is completely stupid. We're not primitive apes who do everything based on instinct; everything we do is learned. If we all caved in to instinct, then we wouldn't have science, language, or even a society. Everyone would just go around fucking each other senseless and killing.
The only real reason for sex is procreation and humans just happen to find it pleasurable. And just because some people don't take pleasure in it or seek to feel that pleasure, doesn't mean they should be shunned and thrown in the freak bin.
