upside down sway bars mannnnnnnn I tell you maaaaannnn
I don't have any sway bars :C My Civic was a base model so it didn't even come with front sway bar (The only 4th gen Civic/CRX to not come with one!) I have front and rear EJ1 sway bars that I plan on maybe trying to make fit. But the rubbing almost feels like a caliper up against the wheel. Wondering if the right front caliper might be bumping the wheel slightly on hard turns or something. That would suck, I'd have to run a small spacer on both front wheels.
Installed new front and rear sway bars this weekend, really brought the car together. In addition I threw my CCFL angel eyes into my headlight assemblies. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/photo_221.JPG[/t] [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/photo172.JPG[/t] [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/photo_130.JPG[/t] Now I just gotta paint my new nose panel and get it installed. I hate the way the front of the car looks right now with that nasty dent.
Tuning the car with the old folk at the wheel having a blast is priceless good time indeed
Refitted the hood with some new heat/damping material.. The old just was too nasty and peeled off..
Is that dynamat? I only ask cause the one time I did that it melted off from the heat and smelled terrible.
I took out my front and rear seats and gave my whole interior a good vacuuming, cleaning and wiping down. I also dumped one of my rear seat belt ends which had been soaking up rusty water from under the rear seat and had got moldy and brown rusty/nasty in a bucket of simple green to clean it up. Now I need to clean all the windows although I might just get them tinted and let them do it lol.
Cleaning the windows sounds a hell of a lot easier than ripping all the seats out and cleaning every spec of dirt off the carpet haha
I hate cleaning windows and the fucking people I know love to manage to rub themselves all over the god damn things, I've basically given up on cleaning my rear windows and just making them ride in the back all the time... Cleaning the rear hatch sucks and my side windows have this film on them which windex doesn't seem to take off. It's one of the things I just kinda put off in my car. [editline]24th April 2012[/editline] Although to think about it, when I sit in the back of my car my hair rubs on that rear hatch window. That might actually cause most of it.
Is that dynamat? I only ask cause the one time I did that it melted off from the heat and smelled terrible.
If i'm right Dynamat is sound insulating.. not heat though, and no this isn't it :)
If i'm right Dynamat is sound insulating.. not heat though, and no this isn't it :)
Yeah, I know. Me and my buddy had the genius idea one day to put dynamat in between the foam insulating layer and his hood to stop some of his lifter tick from annoying the piss out of him everyday. Unfortunately dynamat seems to have a habit of melting anywhere it's exposed to direct sunlight as well, underneath the trunk lid included.
hey Bradley what are your thoughts on the BOSH SUPERPLUS 7955, I had them for a stealer price but my cousin tell me I will end up with misfire under boost and the copper part will melt. However I couldnt find any instance of that on the web
Not a fan of Bosch plugs, I run them in VW/BMW/Mercedes shit but that's only because when I worked for the dealer that's what they brought me. I wouldn't use Bosch plugs in my own car. If it was me, I'd go for the NGK BPR8HIX, they're weird looking compared to most standard plugs (the diode is tiny), but they burn hot and bright. I have used them on all of my forced induction setups, still have the set I ran in the CRX and they look new aside from one being drowned with oil (Not in the cylinder, in the plug galley). I never had misfiring problems except for when the MAP failed on me. [editline]24th April 2012[/editline] Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck So the new block for the Corvette is cracked. It's been frozen and busted the passenger side water jacket.

http://www.e3sparkplugs.com/ They've got the nice diamond fire technology and I hear that gives them a way better spark than the rest. Not too expensive either.
I don't really care for gimmick plugs, a nice standard L-prong plug with a good diode is just as good as anything else, plugs might make an impact if you're in the 500+ HP range but to us guys just dicking around with our daily drivers, I think standard plugs are just fine. They seem like they would have less mixture flow around the diode, I'm not exactly sure that's better. Seems like gap would be an issue too, getting an even gap across the entire diode would be hard. ngk erryday
Had some drunks assault me and also smash the car window, so earlier on today was a lot of tidying the interior, removing a windows worth of glass, fitting on new wipers cos they snapped them too, Just need to buy a window now to fit
Wow what a bunch of cock ends.
Is there a good method of shaping metal back to the original position? Also had the wing kicked in, but luckily its pretty much only one kicks worth and i reckon i could force it out from the inside- but don't think it will be smooth anymore
added some rice [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3702776/Photo%20Dump/2012-04-24_19-37-47_989.jpg[/t]
I have to fix my starter circuit fuck that make my car not wanting to start half the time. starter relay has been changed Starter motor has been changed. I might just bypass everything with a 30amp relay I have and call it a day
Today I'm going to try and stay awake long enough to not pass out while I'm running the shop. Alone. Waiting til tomorrow so Jap can pay me for my wheels and I can put the money into cleaning up my cylinder head and a new gasket to get this D16A6 back to being a D16A6 instead of a frankenshit 12 valve slugbox. Tired as hellllll because I got no sleep, I stared at a cieling for a few hours and got right back out of bed.
I installed keyless entry in my 300CE, but I've just about reached the end of my usefulness when it comes to repairing that car. It needs some serious work right now. The drag link on the steering is incredibly loose, the thermostat on the engine is going bad, the wheel bearings need to be serviced, the engine is leaking oil from somewhere, and the shocks are starting to go. Oh, and that doesn't even include the body work that it needs done. The front right fender is dented and the paint is chipped, the front bumper is broken, and the "Front Noise Reduction Panel" is fucked to shit. The fender would need to be hammered back to shape and repainted, the bumper is actually one huge part and would need to be entirely replaced, and the noise reduction panel needs to be replaced. (This thing acts like a skid plate but is just a fiberglass panel that sits under the engine) Oh, and it leaks out all of the freon (that's right, it uses actual freon, not that environmentally friendly shit) every winter, so it needs to be recharged every spring. /wrists
Woo replaced the car window! All I have left to repair is the big kick dent in the wing
My starters problem are gone for good ahhhh feel nice to know you wont be stuck at a drive-in now... just got to finish the power-steering idle up thingy. It's actually leaking air
My starters problem are gone for good ahhhh feel nice to know you wont be stuck at a drive-in now... just got to finish the power-steering idle up thingy. I'd help a little, of course, but someone had to operate the clutch, right...?
Shit, i bump start my car by myself just for fun sometimes. I thought you were all about being a man without your power steering and ac; you can push your car haha.(i know you're joking)
When my starter stopped working before I'd make whoever was riding bitch get out and push me. I'd help a little, of course, but someone had to operate the clutch, right...?
yes I did that the whole fucking summer last year. because trying to pushstart a 3800lbs car by yourself is tricky but it's all good now, no more slaving the passenger!
Tried to tidy up my interior a bit (with a spraycan) Now i only need some doorpanels and a place to hide the fuel lines, then i'll call it a day
neat
Almost looks like your getting ready for a rally race, or a track day event.
