I woke up one morning and went to start up my car to go to school, a couple years ago. I drove home fine the night before, but when i started cranking it over, no dice. Same as you, whirwhirwhir etc. etc. Popped open the hood and started looking around, not sure what to even look for; Just looking. Didn't even know where to start. Then i notice that one of my primary injectors was unplugged. How the fuck it came unplugged I'll never know; but once i plugged it in it fired right up. Probably not related as rotaries are essentially two cylinder engines; I'm guessing yours would have a misfire if that was the case. But yeah. Pageking, sorry.
Oh, I've already checked all the simple things. My ECU was throwing two code 1s and a code 16, checked all FI wiring, it's all good. Swapped for my known good PM6, checked for fuel pump prime, checked for main relay click. Compression is good. Timing's good. I'm just super pissed off, the thing shouldn't have died overnight like this, it's aggravating. I had planned to do so much to it today. [editline]6th May 2012[/editline] I'm almost certain it is actually the main relay but I don't feel like crawling up behind my dash right now. I'll work on it when it cools down later tonight.

Don't know what year your EF is but I would put a bag of ice on it for a few minutes and that sometimes works. Heat breaks a solder point in it i believe. After it cools down you can at least confirm it if it starts right up. Didn't do much car wise today. Found that someone had swiped paint with the bumper of my GTI. Fortunately though the area of the bumper they hit already had a few paint issues. They wern't major enough to bug me before so i guess this is motivation to fix it.
fucken previous owners what were they doing awe ye nice

Your picture reminded me of the carnage i found while taking apart the 2: That thick grey wire was at one point an Ethernet cable. They were spliced into the main and engine harness and left unterminated and open at the other end.

ONE flywheel bolt is rounded off. So not I'm probably going to weld a socket to it to spin it out. Also, it was the igniter module. I had a brand new one on hand and popped it in. Fired it up, drove it into the shop. Hmm, that length of Cat5 has gave me an idea, I think I'll run a length from the boot lid to the dashboard, that way I can just tap into the cores as an when I need them as I add things to this car. One day when I can be assed I'll clean this up: Interestingly, also uses pieces of ethernet cable :p
I use LPT cable instead of ethernet. That shit can handle some voltage.

i use lamp cord :3
What did I do today? Let's see here........... My transmission is going out. :suicide: Hard shift's, when you let off the gas pedal and get back on it. It makes a thunk/ jerk noise. It might be a CV Joint,Universal Joint or a transmission mount. But I'm looking at the worst and getting ready to open the wallet.
not going to have my engine/swap parts until mid-june. By then, I will either have got a job OR have gotten back to college (if the strike end, I hope not because the stupid gov't is still stealing from us while giving away like a mofo)
D16A6 is together and in the Civic. Now I have to figure out what wire is loose that is making my fan no longer work and degree the cam about ~5 degrees advanced, and it's ready for boost.
Hmm, that length of Cat5 has gave me an idea
Ahem, Cat5e. Only the best Ethernet cable should be used when hacking up a perfectly good harness :v: And bradley no offense meant man. I'm sure you know your way around a Honda. Just a problem that haunted me for years because i'm a cheep ass and buy POS used relays. What are your goals with the d16?
180~hp, not high. Stock interals with some head studs and an ebay turbo. Just a fun DD, really. Trying to get the 'vette sold so I can pick up a sedan to toy with. There's a sedan and a EJ1 that I'm looking at right now, I'd like to pick them both up as a package as the EJ1 is an automatic B18B1 swap, would like to drop the B18 + LS tranny I have with my EF mounts into the sedan and then put all the D series stuff with the DX hydro tranny I have back into the EJ1 and sell it to break even and keep the sedan. That's my ultimate goal, but I may also be getting another sedan roller for cheap, my dad's picking it up for practically nothing because he knows I've been looking for one. But yeah, D16A6 I plan on something around 180, it's nothing extreme just less boring. I'd be happy with 160 but I'm not running 5PSI, y'know? Just want to be able to keep up with Jap's GSR swapped rex.
Buy an MK2 and put the 2JZ in it. Park the MK3 for now. Do it. I've always liked the Mk2 nose too Actually wow what do I even not like about the Mk2 [del][sp]nothing[/sp][/del] [sp]boat anchor they call an engine[/sp] [sp]LS swap :v:[/sp] [editline]5th May 2012[/editline] http://www.celicasupra.com/forums/showthread.php?29684-Supra-LS-type
There's a red/burgundy MK.2 in a scrap yard by where I live. Right by the highway, I've been meaning to check it out.
Worked on my rear mounted fog lights for trailering my boat at night...found that one of them has a leak because I it was half full with water...
Worked on my rear mounted fog lights for trailering my boat at night...found that one of them has a leak because I it was half full with water...
I found out that it is easier to have a truck with a "light bar" and have 2 out of 4 going rearward. And still looks good IMO

On a scale of shit to race?
Speaking of cams, bradley, exactly how good would twin cams with a 320 degree angle and 10.8 lift be? On a scale of shit to race?
Do you mean 320 duration? 10.8 lift is a lot, you usually see that out of 272/280 duration cams (which are the biggest duration cams I'd run on any dual cam moor, I see some people go in the 290s though. Also, got my cam timing set, went 6 degrees advance from where it was, it's nice and quick climbing now. Waiting on the half rad to get here and then installing it, and then this weeking Zags is coming up to watch me bolt on the remining turbo kit components, maybe. If I can get some tubing by then.
My neutral make the car go forward... I hope my r154 is fine, or it will be 800$ more on the swap
got sum tints [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3702776/Photo%20Dump/2012-05-05_19-39-15_924.jpg[/t] [editline]7th May 2012[/editline] oh and ceramic pads

The company comes well recommended and has a good racing history. http://www.todaracing.com/en/product/cam/4ag4v-1.html They also have some various products for Hondas, you may want to look at it.
you won,t be able to run those 320 on stock shim/bucket/spring valves on a 4age
Yeah, that's why I'm getting the aforementioned shim kit replacing all the buckets and spring valves as well as, of course, the shim.
I know of Toda. You could have said it was some Toda 14111's, I would have known what you meant. Those are going to be absolute ass on the street, btw. [editline]8th May 2012[/editline] Also went out and drove the piss out of the civic today, it's doing great. The only issue I have is a small oil leak somewhere. I'll track it down after I do the head re-torque.
reep a skeed! Minibike my friend recently got running, still has some problems. Gonna make something like that once i learn how to weld.
