I passed the afternoon painting stuff on my car, fixing rust, and temporary patching up my rusted and perforated rockers... The two picture I took... From this... To this... It's not perfect, but it's hard to patch up a hole like this with basic things. But hey, I'm happy, I fixed my two holes on the rocker (This one is front, the rear one was done too), a patched spot is better than a rusty hole.
nice job fixing that, did you cut out the rest of the rust and weld a new piece in it? If the rust is still under the paint it could lead to new rust pretty soon..

But still looks a bit better i think. It's a lip off a mazda 626 so. [editline]13th May 2012[/editline] It's not actually as tweaked as it looks, lighting is fucking with it. Straight on it doesn't look like it's folded in like that. It's more of a straight up and down whereas the side closest to the camera sticks out a bit.
Found a set of Rota Alecias for 525$ http://www.driftworks.com/shop/rota-aleica-15-wheels-all-colours.html Too good to be true? I have miles of trust for driftworks though, so i doubt they'd rip me off.

It's for the meantime whilr I get a whole new rocker. And new pictures of it (This time a shot of the two rockers, they used to be both perforated.) And then another of the multiple spots I painted, one of my lower fender and wheel well. found a 1jz-gte, ecu, harness, igniter and rear sump for a small amount. I'll be coming back in a week to take the compression and buy it for real. then it will be the waiting game (damn shipping). it might be ready for next month... although it will be stock and slow for now

Though I know you're only going that way because you have to. Speaking of your car, we're not quite Supra Mario Bros but CLOSE ENOUGH

You guys keep tempting me to go take a look at that Mk.2 down the road.

If I had the GTS I'd have all the luxuries of a Supra but with the 22RE. Instead I got a lamp post rear axle. Oh well, can't complain, I'm $566 into it so far (buying it and getting it delivered to me on a tow truck!) and tomorrow I might be getting the igniter it needs for ~$25. If not it'll cost me $100-$150. Then it'll be DD city.

Found a seemingly cheaper air box : 295.00 http://www.borla.com/products/induction/airbox.htm If anyone finds a blank ITB air-box please pm me. -edit- Oh wow a whole business dedicated to just ITBs http://atpowershop.co.uk yay
they're still called CELICASUPRA ;)
No, it's a Celica GT :c The Celica Supra is the Mk2 Supra. >:C
You're all wrong, it's a toy-yoda! :v: Joke Sauce
No, it's a Celica GT :c The Celica Supra is the Mk2 Supra. >:C
<3 you're part of the family now, I don't give a shit about GT or GTS. call it whatever you want, its a cool rwdbox to me
Hells yeah. And the 22RE is one of the best 4 pots Toyota made. Then again, they made a LOT of good 4 pots -- the 4AGE, 22R, 3T...
If I ever get a toyota, it's gonna be an AE86 Trueno. Theres just something about it, but it's gotta have security, so I'd install something like one of these: Flash-less media tags? pfffft.

And I get the big hoss motor, not that puny 1.6 :P
Initial D?
fuel tank leak D:

A gutted Celica Mk3 and a gutted AE86 weigh about the same. The 22RE is a heavier engine, but it's also almost twice the engine the 4AGE is.
well I dunno then, but I once heard a guy say "Either you love old toyotas or you hate them" I suppose that's it really. [editline]15th May 2012[/editline] actually it was more like, either you're a toyota guy, or you're not.
Well, I definitely prefer my old Celica over my old Corolla. I feel like it's a much more hefty platform in comparison.
it probably is, I'm quite sure 90% of ae86s being drifted are either reinforced or bent to hell and back.
About to head to LKQ Self Serve and get some parts, hoping I can find an igniter there, one off of a pickup with EFI will work, just gotta find one. Maybe there will be some MK2 Supra or A60 Celica parts there. I need a corner light. And if I find a couple of good sealed beam headlights, they're only $4 apiece! Ka-ching!
Stopped by the machine shop earlier. Guy said they should be finished by the end of the day. Just has to balance the flywheel and dampener. Also bought a rebuild kit for the turbo. It doesn't have that much play but seems stupid to put an old turbo on a new engine. Tons of 3S-GTE build pictures incoming...
Put lockwashers on my front fog lights...still gotta align one of my rear fog lights...then I'll probably go bother my neighbor about powder coating my valve covers before I move
Worked my ass off to pay for that shitty 1jz I'll buy

Its also just a fun, cute little car with quite a bite if you want to put some money into it.
Converting my 22RE to a 22R, with a Motorcraft Holley 2 barrel for now and changing over to GM HEI ignition. This is, if my mechanic can find his adapter play to bolt the carb to the intake. Free Stuff + $6 Intake Gasket > $150 Igniter Module
