Converting my 22RE to a 22R, with a Motorcraft Holley 2 barrel for now and changing over to GM HEI ignition.
This is, if my mechanic can find his adapter play to bolt the carb to the intake.

I don't get it. Surging idle? Check all your vacuum lines. I looked to your youtube description for more info but was sadly disappointed.
Are you talking about the noise?

This is how I'm changing the ignition:

The GM HEI replaced the Toyota Igniter Module assembly, but I won't be able to run the FI with this, so I'm changing over to carb.
Why the holley? I like Holley more than Weber, and because it's free.
I don't need an adapter. I have one coming. He's just gotta remember to bring it.
Anyways, HEI ignition is hooked up and it runs, but only for a second, no injector pulse so I'm not going to be able to drive it around or anything.
I know on pirate they are a few running them. Cause they are cheap.
Yeah. The Accel one I'm running is a bit more expensive, but I had it laying around and it was free. They're only about $15 for a OEM replacement one.
But, it works, now all I've left to do is slap the carb on.

Hey, at least your car sounds pretty nice when it's acting up!
And what part of Florida do you live in? Wasn't it near Jupiter? That place is super fair weathered.
If you live here, you know Florida is the only state that has ADD in it's weather.
MONSOOOOOOOON, SUNSHINE!
My favorite little ADD weather event, I caught on 10 News:

"ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: Splitting hairs.
Have a large storm totally dodge where you live."
/badjoke
OT: Helped my friend put a train horn on his wrecker, not Moe, his normal bright-fucking-orange wrecker. Heh, it gets people to move the hell outta the way when before all he got were blank stares, not unlike "poker face" guy.
The Corvette is sold :C
Now to spend the money on a hella tyte setup for the Celica.

this car is going to look so nice when it's painted and the whole body is assembled hnnng i can't wait
SO I think I've been semi-blessed with a W58 in the Celica instead of the T50, as either could come in the GT model.
Also may be keeping the FI, going to find out if the module I need is in some toyota shit at a friend's house.
CAMARO
The wacky green color makes me think its a GTO, sorta like the Judges.
CAMARO
So it's a buick?
:v:
It's a Camaro.
Also, god this is tempting. Sitting on this money is going to be hard when I run across stuff like this

Wow, it looks really good.
The nose looks a bit fubar'd from the pic... But I can only slightly see it. Idk.
If it was something more awesome, like, the hardtop one, or some low end Ferrari or other supercar brand, I'd be more for it.
But the only reason I'd want it is to blast that Joe Walsh song.

Ironic that he buys the car's predecessor in the supercar challenge they had, isn't it?
Clarkson doesn't know shit about cars tbh. If he can drive the piss out of it without dying or it breaking then it's good. And he picks on every little thing. It's rather annoying.
Picking on every thing is what good car reviewers should do though, you want to know the flaws of a car if you potentially want one. Even if they are strongly opinionated.

Its his character for the show though. Off of Top Gear I think he's actually rather well spoken.
It could be they couldn't get a hold of the actual car in time. Cant be easy sourcing some of the things they have on that show.
On an unrelated note this damn machine shop keeps telling me everything will be done by the end of the day. Oh well, i'm sure it will be done by the end of tomorrow....
HYNUAH THIS CAH IS GOHBAJ ITS NOT GOT GENUINE LETHA TESTICLE MUSASHAS
Mounted a 6.5 HP GX200 Honda (real, not a clone) in place of the crappy huaguashiten or whatever knockoff engine that had a centrifugal clutch. The new Honda has a $200 CVT clutch (think of the ones on snowmobiles) that when we first drove it did a burnout till the chain came off, second drive it did a wheelie, and third drive it bent out hodge podge motor mount down. Going to fab a really trick motor mount tomorrow if I'm not too worn out from football.
Ripped off the calipers and rotors and knocked the old studs off the hubs (all on the rear) and got a refund for the rims. Now all that is left is a new set of rotors, pads, trailing link, install the new studs i got today, order the new rims... Hm. Well, one step at a time i guess. No real rush anyways, gotta wait for parts no matter what so no sense in busting my ass.
Got some nice strut tower braces, replaced the split brake booster line and then made some videos. I was on the verge of jizzing when i noticed the non existant engine vacuum made it sound like a really fast paced bridgeport. I'll post them up when i get the chance in the photos thread or something.
