lol. For me it's more a function thing. If I was more for form, I'd have no turbo and a front bumper cover on my car by now.
I think I blew my turbo up tonight. Will have confirmation tomorrow maybe. If it is blown, time to slap that 20G on.
welcome to the club. bitches love my smokescreen when i go through a drive through
[editline]4th March 2011[/editline] Oh lame. What were you running before? 16G? What kind of boost are you running on that thing anyways? I haven't modded either of the two DSMs I've owned ('91 Talon TSi AWD and '92 Eclipse GSX), so I'm not big into the scene (more into the whole Honda thing, even though I love DSM) and don't remember the factory boost on one of those. I know the GSX I had ran at 12psi... The Talon I can't remember, it was my second car I ever bought and I paid $150 for it, had two chipped valves. I miss it, it was fucking beautiful. Today I helped Borellus's dad finish the fuel pump job on their Blazer. Afterwards we went and put a new battery in it, the old duralast took a crap on him.
Stock T-25 on wastegate spring pressure which appears to be 14psi. Not sure if it's blown though. I normally drive around pretty hard but last night I was easy on it the entire night, just cruising the speed limit everywhere, then I decide to do a small pull down the on-ramp on my way home and hte car goes nowhere and then the whole cabin smells like burnt oil. Drove it around today though and ran fine.
I've got two T25s on 8psi I believe.
I cleaned up my auto-hydrogenater and connected it to my flux capacitor. Should have the ballast tanks up and running by Monday.
Got my pair of headlights in today, with an HID conversion kit. I'm exciting to see how they look when I turn them on in my car. I'll take pictures later of them when they are installed and on. Here's the headlight housing in the box. And here is the HID conversion kit. changed oil to m1, refilled tires 38/36psi, installed a privacy shutter thing for my hatch to hide my sub from thieves etcetc
Drove it.

But I'm also on DPFI with basemap, so I can't really run anything higher without changing over to MPFI and tune. Plus I've got a crack in the manifold, but it's stainless so I can weld it up with a mig pretty easily. It's just getting the motivation to do it. Might do it today if I get around to feeling like it. I'm getting tired of that "tat tat tat tat" noise. I'm sure anyone who has ever had an exhaust leak knows what I'm talking about.
sounds like valve tick only loud as hell
Pretty much. At first I thought it was valve tick, then I noticed the manifold was cracked at #1. I did a valve adjustment anyways. 160k on the motor and I bet it was the first valve adjustment it ever had.
oh god how do i adjust valves
Well it really depends on the vehicle. What are you trying to do it in? If I recall correctly you have a Subaru. I'm lost when it comes to subies, so I'm not really any help there. :/

Totally. But I can't afford it right now. D: What are you wanting for it? My birthday is next saturday, just saying. xD That's all I really need, I have a PM8 I could run for MPFI if I had all of that. :/
I've no idea really. It's all been laying around so I can boost one of my three hondas. Lol. Off to begin operation "GET THE FUCK UNSTUCK". Stuck rings on cylinders 3 and 5. Step 1 of this operation goes as follows: "douse them in Marvel Mystery oil, WD40, and any other solvent I can fit in the spark plug hole." Step 2 is "Wait."
changed front pads and bled brakes, followed by stress testing them until smoke was bellowing out of my wheels fade comes in after about the 8th consecutive 60-0 stop, but they're autozone pads and 20$ so fuck you
got all my spare 240 parts out of the back of the garage and took pics of all of them so i can list them on craigslist and zilvia. trying to decide if i should use some of the money i get to get scuba certified. im going with my friends family to daytona or miami and my friend and his dad scuba.
Went and picked up a tacky ricer bumper for my car for $15 since I can't find a goddam stock one anywhere. It works for now, I guess. The lady that I bought it from was a single mother, 26-27 years old, pretty cute and also drove a CRX. Went into her garage to get the bumper and it was full of B series blocks and 4G63 pieces and parts. She bought everything in a lot and had no idea what most of it was. I'd like to turn this into a good situation, if you know what I mean. :pervert:
Fucking her?
does this oil rag smell like chloroform?
Man, this bumper looks like SHIT. But... Better than nothing....
Not my car, but we've been working on swapping my buds car to an auto. We're pretty much finished as of today, we just can't get his car to start now lol. Random pictures: Just his front end. Had to take the bumper off to mount the giant trans cooler. Running the lines for the trans cooler off the transmission. He has this cool ratchet shifter setup that I forgot to take pictures of. The car is sooo close to being done after like 8 months of working on it. Can't wait till it runs, will prob have more pictures later.
That's one clean DSM. Always been my favorite color on an Eclipse, I don't know why.
Did you do something about the Clutch interlock? Does it spin over and just not fire, or not spin over at all?
