I can't either, apparently it's been discontinued. And I guess people are to afraid the FCC will rain hell fire and jail time on anyone boosting the range of their do-dads 5 feet or more. Theres a max range of 250 feet allowed so I don't get why theres no info on the subject.
Wat? They wont allow much wattage on the radio band? Hell my RC airplanes 2.4ghz module is 0.5watts and I can fly up to 2 miles STOCK. With the 2Watt mods you can go until you get mad about not losing range!
FCC? Wat FCC!

Those things are designed with certain specs in mind, and they mostly don't interfere with other signals which is the FCC's stipulation. But if you go and super charge a small FM transmitter to broadcast over another station and make it so other people can't receive that station, then thats where the issue begins. Small FM transmitters have a MAX allowed range of 250 feet broadcasting over other stations.
That's what I understand anyway.
Removing the EGR system from the new MR2 engine because the busted motor was JDM and didn't have it. Since we're running the intake and ECU from the old engine we need to get rid of it.
Turns out they want 30$ for a stupid block off plate and some bolts. So a free piece of aluminum stock and about 20 minutes minus painting and I made my own. (Sorry didn't realize that it and the table were the EXACT same color)

and installed:

Home made EGR blockoff plates are the best. I've made a ton of them.
Honestly fabing up stuff like that is one of my more favorite parts of restoring cars. Maybe I'll make a bunch and sell them for 29.99 on ebay....

Or, you could sell them at a more reasonable price of $19.99 and everyone will buy them from you instead of the competition. If you think $30 is unreasonable, why would you sell it for $30?

The point being mine would be a cent cheaper :v: (but also not nearly as good quality). I would be lucky to sell it for 1.99$.
Did some hella tyte mad sick dorifuto turns today, I've put 20 miles on the Celica so far and I'm loving it. Tomorrow at noon I'm going with my old racing friend Ben to grab some wheels (He's a toyota guy, has tons of cool shit), and I might swing it by the exhaust shop for full custom exhaust if I can.
My dad went on a short vacation so shop is closed until tuesday, so I plan on a little bit of bodywork over the weekend. An old guy had the nerve to tell me I needed to just swap the motor into a pickup or something because my body is "too rotted", when the only rust is in the rear arches. ಠ_ಠ
Got a roll of sheet metal to patch up the rust spots, then it'll probably get a coat of paint within a week or two if I can get all of that done pretty quick.
Finally doing wheel restoration.

One down, three to go.
Car work is slow, but I saw a bad ass GNX today. It's sound made me drool, then made me think of this:

New extension shaft seal installed
Topped off the T-case
see those valve covers?

brb trying to paint mine
Yuck. Rising sun valve covers are cooler than that.
That only looks good if you wear zebra high heels.
I saw a VW Passat and all the lower trimming was covered in zebra ducktape.
brb off to go finish my painting.
I'll work on getting the bitch for the high heels :P
removed the turbo, injector and few other parts from the bay to sell and pay for swap parts

How cheap?
Cheap cheap. There's a set of bronze Drag DR31s here with new tires for $400 and I haven't snagged those, so I'm sure that gets the point across.

This might not suit you, but it would be better to get it right the first time.
http://www.driftworks.com/shop/rota-wheels/
NO ROTAS. I've owned a set of Rota wheels and the quality was garbage. I'd rather get XXRs or Drag wheels.
I will NOT buy Rota again.
[editline]29th May 2012[/editline]
Also new != cheap
I'm talking about a second hand set of kick around rims, not some NIB shiny shiny bullshit. Haha.

bro, I have 2x7mgte with harness and ecu, a stock turbo/maf/440cc injectors if you want to replace that 22re for real torque and power
I'm only making ~40-50 less ft-lbs of torque than a 7M-GTE on two less pots lol
If you shipped me a 7M + harness and a bellhousing for free I'd def slap it in though :D
lol you gotta pay to play.
and a 22re doesnt make 350rwhp with a simple bpu+ ;)
No but it also doesn't explode every 100k ;)
Attempt to unbolt front bumper v2
This is going well so far, got the downpipe today, fits to the turbo perfectly, the turbo fits to the manifold perfectly, and the manifold fits to the car perfectly.
:D
started to extend my wiring harness. it is taking a while... Oh my god kill me
One of these days we'll all have turbos.
Instead of buying a 240sx and converting it to a Silvia, why don't I just buy a Silvia?
http://www.japan-partner.com/Auto/18608/Nissan/Silvia/car-for-sale.html
Hell, why don't I just get a R34?
