Changed my oil. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1031910/Audi/2012-06-13%2017.31.22-1.jpg[/t] OK SO WHAT I CHEATED! But at-least I got it done for free and they did the car the way your suppose to. Wile it was being worked on me and the dude had a conversation wile he worked. He filled up my windshield reservoir and about that time you hear under the car "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU TOUCH UP THERE THE CAR'S LEAKING WATER LIKE SHIT". Me and him busted out fucking laughing.

Arc, you are one dedicated motherfucker. Come to think of it, I'd prolly be doing the same thing. :v:

I can sorta understand the mechanical stuff, but wiring is beyond me. Then again, I'm so mechanically inept it's not even funny, so props to you for doing both.

But the engine... lets just say what I was looking at the fuel pressure regulator and thinking it was some kind of filter.
I'm terrified of electrical work when it comes to cars, mostly because you have to tear out half the interior/dash to get to anything, and what's worse is if it's an electrical issue it can be very hard to find.

Still don't know why my window rolls down when I tell it to go up. :'(
Switched poles? Aka the current flows the wrong way?
Switched poles? Aka the current flows the wrong way?
Precisely. All thats needed is a wire swap, gonna need a wire diagram though. Or someone whos good with electrical stuff.
Switched poles? Aka the current flows the wrong way?
I wish it was that easy.
Precisely. But he other 6 wires are for the one touch or some shit.
Precisely. All thats needed is a wire swap, gonna need a wire diagram though. Or someone whos good with electrical stuff.
Well, that depends of where it's switched. (I guess) But if the wires in the switch or in the motor, it should be no problem (except from having to detaching and re-attaching the cables) Of course, there might be some other system in a car that makes it easier (not having to open up your door)
Car is inside now, going to have it completely disassembled in no time. Does anyone know how much a completely stripped down dart weighs?
1,320 lbs.
I wish it was that easy. 8 wires go to it. Both pos and ground is right. But he other 6 wires are for the one touch or some shit.
I've dealt with 6 wire switches 3 rows and 2 columns (looking at the switch vertically) While power is supplied to the 2nd row + -, the top (for example) is set - + while the bottom is set + -. - + + - + - It's just a DPDT button switch not too unlike the switches used on older golf carts. Swapping the poles on the top 2 and bottom 2 wires would likely set things straight. Most of the other wires are for lockout switches, security systems and lighting (usually inside the switch itself). The one touch feature is a solenoid that gets tripped when the button is pressed and when the window reaches the bottom and stops, the circuit detects a voltage change from the motor trying to continue it's decent down when it cant, that trips the solenoid off. I'm not saying it's not an 8 wire setup, this is just what I've come across. Some car companys are fucking strange with their wiring.

Installed my DRL strips on my car, I love how they have turned out! Terrible picture incoming!

Between removing the wiper motor, gears, hose, etc. I probably lost 15 lbs.
put me in a asylum already done with the god damn wiring for the engine. now, on to the alternator wiring, Progressive power steering (PPS) wiring, fuse box wiring, body harness wiring. :suicide:

how'd you cover the hole?
Hmm, seems to be a problem here. Ah, that's better Nice of that slant six to make room for the big block. This car is so freaking rust free its unbelievable by me and my dad. I swear the underside has less rust than my dads 07 ram, nothing at all expect light surface rust.
Lol, dat fan.
how'd you cover the hole?
Its a metal plug. Got it at Lowes. It fits tight, i bent the fins on it around the inside of the glass so its a tight fit. Today Ill probably run silicone around the inside of it, just to make sure its water tight
Well I'm greasy and mad. Any one want to know how sucking hard to change a thermo on a Audi? I got a family friend/mechanic to come instruct me on a timing belt procedure. 20$ part = 400$ labor. Or in my case 6hrs of work. Nap time.
Did some stuff to the Ford Landmass. Fixed the stalling problem by making the mixture richer, although my friend sorta did that. Not to worry, I managed to tighten one of the indicators all by myself. [sp]tbh the carb thing was kinda easy, I coulda done that myself, he just had the screwdriver at the time[/sp]
Update on the rear wiper removal, I went around the inside of the hole with clear silicone to seal it. Today I did a throttle body coolant bypass. Originally, Subaru made the coolant run through the throttle body. From what I understand, it was to help when temps get pretty far below 0F. I've heard of people running without it in subzero temps without any issues. Anyways, since it's summer, all that hot coolant running through the throttle body heats up the air going through it. It was a quick 10 minute job. Only had to buy a 3/8" double ended brass/copper barb (can't remember which.) Unhooked the intake, unplugged the two coolant hoses, plugged them together with the barb, and put the factory hose clamps over both ends for extra security. Started it up, checked for leaks. All was good. Took it for a drive, noticed enough of a change to make it worth my time. I've noticed a smoother power band, it seams to idle better in stop and go traffic when heat has time to build up a bit. It might have gained a slight amount of power, but I think it's more like it just made it run a bit better.
Changed my rear brakes today, turns out the drivers side rear caliper was seized and the passenger side's boot was completely blown out and wrapped around the piston.. So much for doing a easy brake job when you already have all the parts. So it ended with doing the lines, rotors, pads and calipers in the end. Oh then while bleeding the brakes I ran the master cylinder dry so now my brakes feel like shit...
Oil change day... And I couldn't neglect my Air filter any longer :V Was even giving a me check engine code (P0172) cuz the Maf was starting to get filthy.
