Just swapped ECU for a JDM mapped one, bit of a bargain from the Prelude Forums. Just got the car idling outside for 10-15 mins to let the settings bed in before taking it for a spin to see the difference. Might need a proper re-map though, will have to see after a dyno day.
Took snow plow off of Tractor Took Snow chains off of Tractor Took adm Tyte Tractor spoiler off(bucket of cement for weight :v:) and got covered in grease, which is the best part of any vehicle work.
and got covered in grease, which is the best part of any vehicle work.
My favorite part about working on vehicles is at the end of the day you've got little cuts a bruises all over your hands and the grease/oil/dirt soaks into them and burns for the next 3 days. It is awesome.
Fixed leaks in the tank and replaced one of the pumps for the windscreen washer. Now I might finally be able to actually see what's going on outside... :v:
you can sound like that for free pull a coil pack or plug
His CRX made 93hp new. What will it make now running on only 3 cylinders?
His CRX made 93hp new. What will it make now running on only 3 cylinders?
he never said anything about performance from the header, only sound :smug: [editline]8th March 2011[/editline] more than my miata lol
Well, considering I just finished designing an unequal length turbo manifold for a single cam honda MY WAGOVAN WILL DESTROY YOUR MIATA AND SOUND LIKE A SUBARU DOING IT. That is all.
put the new gas tank in (:
made box fort http://db.tt/ejFx8WU
lol where do you work
http://db.tt/kG8D4Q8 warehouse
lol where do you work
He doesn't work anywhere, he just fucks around in a warehouse I work at.
Drove mustang. It's now taking a dump. Trying to decide if I want to pull my heads off of it and part it out, or get another motor to put in it.
A noise developed in the CRX today. I think one of the rocker adjusters backed out on me, the whole assembly is out of adjustment again. Ugh. My dad just got a '94 Civic EX Coupe that needs a water pump. I want it, but not sure how to go about getting it. He doesn't have much money in it, like a couple hundred. My birthday is the 12th. Thinking about getting it off of him somehow and making it a donor car for the turbo and whatnot, put all the N/A pieces on my CRX and clean it up because it's not a bad little ride but it really needs to go back stock. I say stock, but I really wouldn't mind doing a Y7 or A6 swap into it, keep it non-VTEC and dual point, make it a DD while I work on the coupe. Alas, I don't know what I'm going to do. But I feel like taking my rocker assembly and throwing it at a wall.
Went and bought another turbo today, same thing as the other T25. Bearings are perfect in this one though, even though the compressor wheel has a little chip in it...odd. Also bought some steel plate I can use to make the flanges, now I just need to find the pipe to build the fucking thing.

I have plenty of technical knowledge, but not much of the practical variety [editline]12th March 2011[/editline] i think i want to try building one of those simple sand dune buggies from plans
I have pretty much no experience fabbing, and a little welding experience. I don't give a fuck I'm doing it anyways, I'm sure I've done much harder things.
but you have cars to fuck around on. If I blow my engine there goes like $4,000.
This is true. I have a lot of shit just laying around, lol.
i think i want to try building one of those simple sand dune buggies from plans
This.
ej20 buggy
Nearly 5 hours cleaning, claying and polishing my car yesterday. With a filthy hangover too! Shame the weather's shit today, would love to get some pics.
dad started painting the sound deadening stuff on the camaro and i'm almost done welding the seat brackets to the floor i need to update that thread more i totally forgot i had one
Looked at my turbo funny and did some design work on my headers. I think I'll just build a log manifold for temporary to get my car boosted.
Replaced the clutch line on the miata with a braided stainless steel one. [editline]13th March 2011[/editline] IT DRIVES!!! slow. I need to find out how to pull the crank pulley so I can see how bad the keyway is messed up
polished the absolute cunt out of my car, got rid of all the swirl marks then the sun went in when i tried to take photos, fuck you english weather. Oh well, here's two and an added filterrape bonus! car is so baller
Got a bumper on my CRX! Found someone who had chaopped one up for a FMIC and sold it to me for $20 because of that I was going to chop it up for a FMIC anyways so it was a win-win, car looks totally different with a front bumper on it now. Tomorrow I'm going to weld up the cracked mani and remount the FMIC, do a bit more bumper trimming and put on the new fender. Then going to go over the car with some flat black because whoever did it before neglected to use some derp sand paper first, and it flaked off everywhere. It's surprising, yesterday I thought about selling the car and getting an EJ1. After I put that bumper on and saw how clean the car looked.... I wouldn't trade it for the world. Crazy how the smallest things can make you fall in love with your car all over again.
