dealership logic:
waterpump assy 185$
waterpump pulley 167$
lol fuck you stealership. I'mma get a 60$ aluminium pulley kit from driftmotion (Wp pulley, Ps pulley and alternator pulley). Second rev of their kit and it's perfect
Repainting the hood of my Contour to get rid of the huge amount of holes in the clear coat and the underlying paint damage.
It's so hot in Florida that the paint dries almost instantly and creates lines that are visible from certain angles. :suicide:

I changed my friends 02 Dodge Ram 1500 brake pads and rotors all around.
The rotors were fubared, he ran the pad to pare metal. But here's the thing usaly brakes make a grinding noise. These don't..
Also after getting that done We treated our self's with BBQ going down the road with my hand on the gear selector, I fell something dipping on my hand. My rear view mirror auto dimming fluid was dripping onto my gear selector/hand. That shit stinged like a mofo on my cuts.
I sayed to the people in the back GIVE ME A RAG In one fellow swoop I took the rear view mirror off the windshield wrapped it in the rag got the fluid off my hand and placed the mirror behind the driver seat.
Wile going 60mph.
ARGGG the carnage in my R154 hasn't ended, I need two gears and a sleeve. It will cost me more in part than buying a new trans.
fortunatly, I'M BUYING A NEW TRANS... and keeping mine as a spare for parts or future rebuild
A few days ago I ran across a Rear licence plate surround for free, only thing I had to do it pay for shipping. The seal was leaking.

I need to do the same to my 240 once I get the oil thing fixed
Replaced the rear passenger-side brake piston on the CRX today. That's an interesting project for someone who's only dealt with moped brakes before.
New front strut mounts, brake fluid, master cylinder and a cleaning of the calipers, over the course of three days(ive never done this before..........)
new fluids make me feel warm
Alcohol fluids do the same for me. :v:
Got the second "faux" tank on Carl's tow truck going as an auxiliary. Even got the rheostats working with a DPDT switch, the worst part about the 2 day ordeal was thing the main tank had a fuel pump in it, and a f550 is supposed to come with one in the tank. But this trucks been rebuilt before because it was totaled. The easiest part of everything, was getting a solenoid valve setup in line.
Point of advise to you all, NEVER work under a F550 if you don't plan on coming out looking like a 20s chimney sweep smelling like diesel.
Cleaned the leather on the BMW with Meguiars Gold Class Rich Leather Name Is Way Too Long Conditioner.
It's.... OK. Might be worth a second coat once the first starts to set in to properly catch any blotchy areas you may have.
Sucked out the power steering fluids of my GF's 240. Previous owner put brake fluid in there, ick! Got the right ATF fluid and it's all gravy. Same thing with brake fluid, he put the wrong one in. How does someone do that with big letters on the cap itself
DOT 3 BRAKE FLUID
DEXRON ATF FLUID
Got meself a new R154 (used but 140k km).
all the prices add to my swap but it is still hella cheap compared to what other people told me it would cost (I'm at 3k post selling old parts and shit, people said I wouldn,t do it under 5k)
Got pissed by my brakes being weird, tore down and stuff. So I changed all four rotors and pads.
Only took picture of one of my rear rotor and pads.

Oh god damn motherFUCK. The BMW decided to go and get flooded today on a rough start. Asshole asshole asshole car. Guess I can look forward to going home and farting around with that thing to get it going again... Man I hate that. The 'official' flooded restart procedure as formulated by the internet's best 'Home Mechanics' is practically a 24 hour checklist that I really have no intention of doing...
Recharge battery. Remove ignition coils. Remove spark plugs, Squirt engine oil into 4 or 8 cylinder banks. Reinstall plugs + coils. Attach jumper leads. Run jumper car for 10 minutes to ensure full charge. Crank and floor it for ages and ages and ages and ages until it farts into existence, then give it the berries for ages and ages and ages to quell the misfires. Aye yae yae, Oh dios por favor, maldita matarme ahora!
Pull the plugs, disconnect the plug coils(s), disconnect the injectors, pull the fuel pump fuse and crank with a battery charger for no more then 5 mins at 30 second intervals.
This will keep from dumping more fuel into the engine, will avoid burning out the injectors and ignition coil, keep the battery moderately charged and evap the cylinders.
This way is shorter and won't foul your plugs or waste gas.
Worked on the F-250 at like 1am
dog helped.

Might just do that. I was considering just having someone sit at the trunk with the fuel pump relay disconnected, and have them plug it in once it starts to fire up (seen that done before on these M60's and it works a treat).
At the moment, I couldn't be stuffed trying tonight so I've let it have a sleep and I'll give it a shot in the morning. I hate flooded engines... You're always about 99% sure it's going to be fine and it's definitely just flooded, but there's always that 1% telling you "No! Something else is RUINED! If you try this you'll RUIN IT MORE!". Shitty conciousness.
Put the carb on the beetle, runs better now. Idles when warm and doesn't cough. The idle is a bit rough but I can live with that.
Now however it won't rev as it should, when it gets to higher RPMs it starts missfiring and I think one of the cylinders stops firing all together. Probably has to do with the ignition setting being wrong, so I'll have to fix that.

Yup lol
swapped out a starter on my buddies civic and starting putting the fuel rail back together on my grand am
Fully repaired the AC system on a friends Hyundai.
In one hour and 30 mins as my first AC job evar.
Last on the list of what I can fix on a car is the transmission, auto or manual I couldn't careless what.
At that point I could officially state I can fix ANYTHING on a car/truck, I don't need a fucking paper
to tell me that. My calluses and battered hands tell the story enough.
Got the beamer going yesterday. Took 3 goes but it finally came to life again... That's the second time it's taken 3 goes. After the first 2 I go "Ahh fuck it, I've had enough" then just decide to give it ONE more shot... And it's always that third go that does the trick.
Also just noticed that my fuel filler cap is completely broken. Hard to explain how I didn't notice it before but basically I didn't, and it's not creating a proper seal. I know these BMW's can have some puzzling issues arise from dodgy or broken fuel filler caps, so I've got a new one on the way and I'll see if it does anything to help. It's quite possible that the broken cap is causing a vacuum issue with the fuel in the tank and lines (possibly combined with a failing fuel tank check valve which is common) causing fuel to bleed out of the lines overnight and leaving me with a rough start in the morning.
We'll see!
*edit* Also, going to have the exhaust modified slightly some time soon. Going to gut the mufflers and put a single perforated pipe through them. I've read up on and watched HUNDREDS of exhaust mod videos for the E38's and this is the only solution I've seen that gives a deep throaty V8 sound without creating farty resonating droning sounds or that 'BLARRRP' effect when you rev it hard. I just want to hear that V8 a teensy bit better, and this should do the trick!
