i gave you a wrench to help you out bro
itt lack of anti-sieze
Installed a new aftermarket head unit in my Chrysler today. It was fairly easy, just needed some wood shims to stop it from rattling in the bezel and I had to screw with some wiring to make the power antenna and rear amp work properly. Now I realize that 80s speakers sound like shit, so I may do new ones soon.
Installed my MBC between the CBV and intake. Didn't work and caused turbo flutter (bad).
So either I have a torn CBV or I have to install it the other way, between the Wastegate Actuator and the CBV.
I like that
Relative guage movment.
On my aunts civic you get the tach screaming from 2k to 4800 and an increase of like 10-15 mph
I came up with a list of things to do to the engine
Measure stock airbox mounts, get two same sized oil coolers, run lines and run aux fans to them
Put oil coolers in old airbox (its huge) and use one as trans cooler, other as oil cooler.
Redo radiator and intercooler mounts
put in low speed setting on E fan
modify old shroud to fit the E fan
Move the oil feed
Install the Oil press sensor
Install mbc between CBV and WG Actuator
Install correct cold side intake pipe.
Oh holy shit that was painful, I found out how bad the mounts for the radiator and intercooler.
The bolts which hold on the brackets are screwed into a thin piece of metal above the headlights. I had one of those studs literally break off (it was welded in) because I accidently overtightened it.
Had to hammer that in, use rubber pieces to get the mounts to work and make sure not to overtighten it.
Also found out I cant mount my oil and trans cooler where I originally wanted to.

Got the mani red hot then it just rolled off. Made sure to stick anti-seize compound this time.
the 1jz was a bitch to install, but after a massive banging of the firewall, 1jz it is!
Dad bought a project truck to resell.

Took it home. Washed and waxed the outside. I'm restoring the chrome on the wheels.
Needs a taillight. Factory A/C isn't turning on, not sure why yet. Gotta clean the inside.

New speakers in the rear deck, and took out all of the fabric interior to be redone tomorrow.

Those are supposed to sit in over the top and screw down...
Transmission is out! Finally. Motor comes out Saturday, everything is disconnected, just waiting on a cherry picker.

He did it backwards.
Read the codes on my ECU today.
My EGR valve gets stuck sometimes. Also something's making my fuel mixture too rich but it goes on and off sporadically. Wastes gas like crazy. On the topic of gas, low quality fuel is really shitty. Made my plugs black compared to my using 91+ octane
Those are supposed to sit in over the top and screw down...
Disagree. With the effort required to pull that rear deck cover and all the associated interior pieces, it's smarter to screw them up from below. That way, if I have to change them in the future, I can just go in through the trunk and not have to deal with anything.
Today was a crazy expensive day, I dropped off the whole interior to be recovered ($300), and dropped off the car to have new tires put on ($600). My bank account, it hurts...
However, all this money and effort means that it'll be a whole new car when the 360 goes in next month. After that's done I'm gonna park it and take up a cheap hobby like airsoft or skydiving or something.
You think that hurts.
How about dropping 900 on top of the 1500 that you thought you were going to spend on a rebuild.
I dropped a 600$ extra on top of the whole swap because my trans took a massive shit... yeah

Uh... No. That's improperly installed no matter how you look at it.
Not trying to be a dick or anything, but you did it wrong. Being lazy is no excuse.
but how will he perform his 3000mile speaker maintenance

drop a squirt of oil in the diaphragm
Well on my car, I discovered it has a failing water pump and possibly a radiator blockage. I temporarily took out the thermostat to prevent it from overheating as fast
Trying to sell more parts.

It's not "improper", it's just a different way to do it. What is the engineering justification for installing them from the top verses the bottom?
Everything in the interior is still apart, if Facepunch presents a good reason I'll take 10 minutes and do it the other way.
