Suburban and the 63 C10 were taken away from me forever. Got a speeding ticket. Step dad will never let me drive his vehicles he said.
So until about this time next year I'll have nothing to work on :saddowns:
spent yesterday diagnosing my grandpas monte carlo (mom killed it running through some deep water would idle at 3k and die when you shifted from P to D) turned out that the Throttle position sensor took on some water and shorted out. Good thing we had a full donor car sitting right next to it
Today I helped a buddy install a 6 inch suspension lift and 35" thornbirds in a TJ unlimited. just got back from flogging the hell outta it damn that was fun
*EDIT*
Sigh the Monte Carlo was running great.........til my grandpa took out a 2 foot curb with it and cracked the bejeezus outta the oil and trans pans. So I get the task of pulling both off the donor and putting them on the monte. oh well I needed to change the oil and plugs/wires anyway (it's at 95K atm) now if it would just stop raining........
Had a look at my cabin air filter today, was a little tricky to get to as it was behind the engine under the windscreen. As I expected, it was covered in leafs and dirt, and it was also installed back to front. Where do you guys usually get these kind of parts?
What kind of car is it? For my BMW, there are a hundred possible sites and stores to go to, all at really good prices... If you're struggling, eBay is always a nice alternative. Track down a part number for the filters and whack it into a search!
i had to sell my nice volk te37's so i got some tatty team dynamics off ebay for 127 quid, they obvz need refurbing what colour should i paint them?

Gloss or matte black, original silver or white will fit well on a black car
was thinking gloss, as i could easily just sand the surface to make it matt if it looked shit.
i had my te37's white, looked awesome but i think multispokes look pretty crap in white except for on a white car.

Do you use special paint on rims? I have a set I want to paint grey and mount snow tires on them.
Do you use special paint on rims? I have a set I want to paint grey and mount snow tires on them.
Nah, just put many coats of paint on. Rims get alot of shit on them and stones flying into them and whatnot so extra coats of paint will protect them more
use a good 2k lacquer and let it harden for a week and you should be good with any paint

Get it powder-coated matte grey/black at a shop? Can't be too expensive and it won't chip like rattle can
don't have the coin for a professional...
...but i do have a compressor and devilbiss gti
Who needs a professional if you have the tools/money for the tools to do it yourself.
Sanded, and primered one side of my stepdads truck.
Were hoping as fuk the paint will stay with whats going on top of it.

A friend of mine painted his truck roughly the same way. Almost seems a trend, I see it alot.
Okay...so some morons over at mbenz decided that when they made my car tht everything should be vacuum driven. Like, everything. The central locking system, A/C system, all of the vents in the car, etc.
Well it appears that the HVAC vacuum system has got a leak. There are 7 modules that operate the vent louvers. When I step on the gas, engine vacuum goes away. There should be enough residual pressure in the system to keep the vents open. However, the center vents close and the whole system goes to a factory default setting with the side and defrost vents on. This gets really annoying in the summer as the defrost vents fog the whole windshield. I am planning on replacing all off the modules, but it is not a small project. Takes a minimum of 5.5 hours because the entire German over-engineered dashboard has to come out.
Also my fuel gauge doesn't work but I know how to fix that and I'm doing that when I take the dash apart.

that generation of Chevy trucks had that two tone paint style as an option from the factory, my old 96 was green/silver, the middle stripe is always silver
Installed racing brake pads up front.
Front left was on metal 0_o while front right was still good for a year or two
Agree for these

both are a bit meh and too large imo, but really, not knowing what they are going on makes this an irrelevant choice.
the look im going for, I guess if you dont know what rs' look like on a car it doesn't do justice:

I don't think you'll find many Euro fans here, but I'd definitely go with the silver ones but you might want to consider 15" ones. The top BMW looks like it has 17's and it doesn't suit it at all whereas the other two look real nice.
