so my main negative cable was corroded all the way through. replaced that. the old negative cable split, however - one end was grounded to the chassis and the other went to the other area that the negative connects to. I don't know what it is, it's hard to see. I'm sort of at a loss as to what to do - I've been to the auto parts store 4 times now. first to get the battery - second to get replacement terminal - third to get replacement terminals that fit the huge gauge wire - and four to get another same gauge wire for the ground. and like I don't want to not connect the ground for obvious reasons.
the negative terminal goes to the ground that is all it does
Well then mine is grounded to two different places. I don't know if this is by default or if the previous owner is retarded. oh well, I got it working. Here's an awfully focused photo of how it looks now before I moved the car off the driveway

I learned that the more you ground the intake manifold, the better. Because your main E1 is going directly there (except on german evil electrical system)

Hurray for evil german electrical systems! Seriously...all of my car's problems are because of stupid electrics.
Wat. You turned on your rear wiper? Lets open your sunroof instead!!! Whhhhaattt thhhee fuuuccckk car. Getting tired of this getting wet shit. ITS FUCKING COLD AND MY THROAT IS SORE STOP.
I am master fuse switcher mechanic car person 2012. I now have working ceiling lights and a working radio (minus the antenna which fell off).
I know that feel noodle Change fuses suddenly interior lights work and blinkers MASTER MECHANIC STAGE 1
gotta love it when you're filling up a harvester, and the fuel pump works with 12V from a plug Letting go of the fuel-pistol handle burns a fuse the fusebox for that stuff is under the cabin so you have to lift it up every time it blows, which requires undoing 2 bolts, turning 2 locks, pumping up the cabin, and when you have the fuse in same thing the other way [editline]19th September 2012[/editline] the joys of having a prototype where half of the stuff in the manual doesn't even apply to the machine, the fuse box is supposed to be under the front pontoon, next to batteries
wtf is that even
It looks like it could be for logging.

pulled that meanie head of a carburetor back off.. going to just get a rebuild kit, tear it down (again), clean it (again) and replace all the gaskets, o rings, then needle and seat and whatever else i possibly can while i'm in there. i think my timing light shit the bed today, luckily i managed to get my other carburetor on and pretty well dialed in but towards the end i had to tap it on my bumper to get it to flash and then it stopped working altogether. fuckin' $50 timing light shitting the bed after using it maybe 4 times, way uncool - especially considering the dwell meter i've been using is easily 30 years old and still works perfect and probably cost about the same or less than the light when it was purchased back then. i really don't know what's up with that carburetor though. managed to get it to idle pretty well but just off idle, the engine was stumbling pretty bad and running crazy rich. fouled out my plugs pretty good, bought a new set - probably fouled those out too in the 10 minutes i ran that carb with them before switching back to my good carburetor whatever. $12 will get me another set if i need them.
Took a small 10min to drive the supra (6 days since I installed the pad, haven't tested it yet). ceramic pads doesn't make noise, brake somewhat ok when cold but when they're getting hot: GOD DAMN those thing brakes
Won the battle over the stupid driver's seat. Been stripping the bolt to remove the chair from the frame. Derp moment, realized there are only four bolts holding the chair to the frame of the vehicle. Undid that and now it's out and about. Ready for fixing :D
CHAIR? Chair is incorrect. And let me tell you why. A chair is a mobile seat, usually having legs as to stand on, sometimes having wheels to roll on. A seat is stationary, bolted/welded/fixed to wherever you are supposed to sit. Car seats should be referred to (properly) as seats, where chair is like a dining chair or such, with legs, able to be moved around and not fixed to any one position. Sorry, just one of my peeves. Cars don't have chairs.

cars are glorified motorized chairs
cars are glorified motorized chairs
cars are underated DIY kit
cars are underated DIY kit
well they are fun to DIY but if you think about bradley's definition of a chair, then a car is essentially a chair to be fair though all chairs are broken into parts and one of those parts is a seat
It's not my definition of a chair, and does not qualify for the traditional definition of a "glorified chair". It has a seat, directly bolted to a chassis, and the chassis is a vehicle, which a chair cannot be. Except for those armchair cars what the fuck

Well a wheelchair is a chair with wheels directly attached, designed to move.
