Even if you paid 400, you'd need to do it again later on. Better of save money and do it yourself and be richer.
Rated winner because you haz girlfriend dat loves car's too :3
You finally got an s right. But then fucked it up in the next word
Rated winner because removed spoiler
Is that rust? Dirt? Holy crap
i fuckin did it used this tool to kind of smooth around the inside of the rims and make give more room to fit onto the rotor. had to get some new stunts and lugnuts, but i did it man (with a lil bit of help im not that smart with vehicles ok)
I finally got some seat protectors for my car, they surprisingly go well with the interior quite nicely. Anyone have any idea as to how I could anchor them in better so they don't slide when I enter or exit my car discretely and without permanent modification? Perhaps some tactically placed Duct Tape would work?
I poked holes in mine and secured with zipties
I was hoping to avoid the use of zipties since I would have to poke holes and remove fabric. I guess I'll go over to the Hardware store after classes and see what I can find.
Embrace the zip tie.
Indeed. Need zip ties to mount front liceneplate? Make sure to get the longest ones possible. Approach crosswalk and poke people with your zip ties. (Not suggested but funny as fuck at night time)
Went to junk yard today and scored a fender and lamp cover for my GF for $50 Also swiped these: Considering my car is like this better than no fender:
Wooooo, you should try and paint it yourself.
I have the same thing going on with my fender but I'm too scared to paint it :(
Or you can like matt black the whole front of it, like some one here did... Were's dat triangle fetish guy when you need him.
Whatever did happen to Justin
Whatever did happen to Justin
Haven't seen him around for a while. Bought some chrome wheelarches for old benz today. and this is where the fact that my father works at mercedes makes it a bit better - original parts, still made by benz for old benz for a fraction of the original price. will take a couple days for them to get from Stuttgart to tiny Denmark,, however worth the wait. [t]http://i.imgur.com/LiXgE.jpg[/t] [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1d/Mercedes-Benz_280SE_W108_--_07-14-2011_2.JPG[/t] It'll look hot. Also thinking about getting curtains for the rear windows, would make it pretty cosy back there.
Whatever did happen to Justin
I think he just lurks now...
Jack, what model did you say you have?
280SE iirc [editline]17th October 2012[/editline] WOOT So here's the new stuff compared to the old. The chain and tensioner were okay, the right side timing guide dissolved into the fabric of space and time, creating slack which was making a rattling noise. The tensioner has been on here for 171,000 miles and shows: This guide is supposed to be about 8" long and have two bolts holding it. This is all that was left. And here it is now! New chain, new gear on bottom, new guides, new tensioner, and an LC Engineering adjustable cam sprocket just because it was free and convenient incase I get the marks a bit off. What a job. Half of this shit isn't going back on, including air con. That was one of the biggest pains in my ass -- and it didn't even work before. So it'll go in the shed incase I ever need it again.
I'm doing the same stuff Bradley's doing. Gonna install new timing chain components after I remove the head for milling: Getting there, water pump not budging at all because its totally glued with the RTV. Gonna remove power steering pump next. Valve cover then fuel rails + injectors. Essentially just trying to get the head free
I mean, really, what's the difference between lifting a grossly fat person out of a hospital bed, and lifting a 318 out of a truck bed? There is no difference, so why do we need different lifts for patients and engines? I'm gonna steal Hoyer lifts from work every time I need to pull an engine, these things are great.
What is the 318 for?
What is the 318 for?
From. It came out of my Chrysler when I put the 360 in. Wanna buy it? Good running motor, 67k.
Nah, picking up the coronet this weekend, and it has a 440, so I should be good :v: The charger I almost bought had a 318, not a terrible engine.
Pffffahahaha. Why didn't I think of this earlier? My work has Hoyer lifts too lol
I'm telling you, they're perfect for it. Most engine lifts don't let you swing the legs open to make fitting it to the engine stand easier.
280SE iirc [editline]17th October 2012[/editline] WOOT
Good job. Nice cam gear, should have adjusted it with a bit of retardation (unless since it's single cam, retarding it won't net anything cuz you'll retard the intake too... In that case herp a derp Im a hurrdurring tired student)
