He got your attention, didn't he?
Yeah. Not exactly the kind of attention I'd like to attract to my laptop screen when I'm sitting here visiting my parents.
Seriously, that's not entirely SFW or anything.
Don't think I'm mad or anything -- you're entitled to whatever avatar you want, just, why?
like brad said: not entirely SFW.

Oh yeah; cleaned, decked and rebuilt with new seals. READY TO GO! The only thing left is to follow up my order of ARP main studs, (I got 3 wrong studs).

There's your problem. Dealerships rarely sell at book value. They're out to make as much money as they can, and that's how they do it. To be honest, you have to consider that it will be made out in payments so knocking them down a couple thousand and paying it out is the only option some people have.
As far as craigslist, you can always find a good deal there if you're willing to do the work. Just browsing once or twice and giving up isn't going to net you anything unless you're really fucking lucky.
Ive been searching for months and finally found a reasonably priced motorcycle. And the only reason i ts that good of a price is because I have to replace the chain.

just zoom like really, really far into it so it fills the whole screen.
[editline]edit[/editline]
i often do this in class but worry!! there are two scenarios that i have tried:
1. people will start laughing
TWO. people will stare really, really weirdly at you and you might cry a bit.
it's usually 1 but sometimes its two so you might need to figure out how immature your class is before putting a huge penis on it.
It would work better if his avatar were this.

Nothing wrong with a used car stealership, I bought my 99' with 103k miles on it for 4k and it was listed for 5k 3 years ago.
5 or even 6k isn't a bad price for a 10 year old car with 103k, I'm talking 8 and 9k at this point. I'm seeing DA's with 225k+ going for 3000-4000, I fucking paid that much for my car..
http://eugene.craigslist.org/ctd/3369369337.html (worth like 3k)
http://eugene.craigslist.org/cto/3406969213.html (I'd pay 1.25-1.5k tops lol)
http://eugene.craigslist.org/ctd/3378506797.html (eh, 2,500)
http://eugene.craigslist.org/ctd/3311784889.html (5,500 if you're feeling generous)
OBD2B and an Immobilizer doesn't make the car worth 3 grand more compared to 3 years ago.

Dealer
Books for that much
Dealer
Dealer
???
And fyi, dealerships RIGHT NOW are a terrible place to buy cars -- they're buried up to their ass in the cars they have in inventory and can't afford to sell them at under book value due to the fucked up economy -- so they jack the prices up to try and make due.
A dealer in this day and age is awful compared to 5 years ago, compared to even 2 or 3 years ago.

why would you go to FP in class though, I have never done that
because you obviously never had 6h long classes.
when the teacher goes on rambling about the same thing you already understand for a extensive 20+min for those who dont understand, you do something else: aka browsing
i've had 8h long classes where we finished doing whatever we we're supposed to do in 15 mins

Humping the air repetitively?
GAAAAH THE MORE I STAIR AT IT THE LONGER STROKES IT TAKES!!!
This point it would only make sense to extract the block from the bay to replace worn parts.
The engine mounts are shot. I've got ARP crankshaft main studs I would love to use. Bearings are also very cheap insurance. Rear main seal is leaking a lot of oil. New piston rings wouldn't hurt either.
I've never worked on an engine, ever and yet it just feels so natural to me. Like I've been doing it for so long already. Perhaps because I've mentally rehearsed every step I have to do. The parts are cheap and I have some time. But not only am I affected with having no travel vehicle, my family and friends are also affected. So it kinda sucks

Can't keep a good man down motherfucker.
Well i bought that cherokee for $5500 and I have to say it is fucking MINT, the owner barely drove its really clean all around, didnt even have kids so the back seat is mint. She was aparently a stressful driver so the top of the steering wheel is a little worn down lol. Its had some good owners though.
Worked on the F-250 tonight.
Removed the rad support, front bumper, some metal thinga, and the mirrors.
Also located the bolts to remove the dash pad.

So uh I am now a man. I have won the fight against this stupid engine. (Also that's a legit tire from the last Formula D)
[editline]Editline[/editline]
Surprising handiwork again from second to last owner. Flywheel is completely spotless with new teeth. Clutch is an Exedy Stage 1 kit that's still good. I'm debating on whether to buy an ACT kit. It's like someone just bolted it on the day before.
Next big step would be to drop transmission from the differential. Drain the fluids and connect it to the block. I'll have to rent the hoist again, but this is doing it correctly.
That time of year again, time to change my spark plugs.

My dad said he'd bring me a hoist. I DON'T NEED NO STINKIN' HOIST.
Oh god everytime i see you gut a car it gets my sides.
It's fucking hilarious how your parts always are scattered around the lawn
90% of that stuff isn't going back on. The bumper, radiator, and hood are all that I'm keeping. The rest is parts to be sold!

If the clutch is still good I'd highly suggest to just leave it alone, I have a ACT 6 puck sprung clutch which I got for a good deal but I really consider my feelings about it as a love hate relationship. If I could go back over a year ago though I'd definitely go with an Exedy or ACT Stage 1 and just called it good.
Although, the 6 puck might get interesting with RWD with clutch kicking and whatever that drifting mumbo jumbo.
