Finally stripped all of the rotting fabric and insulation out the interior of the GTO, just need to remove the interior light and roof insulation. Bagged and labeled all the parts. Just need to remove the wiring harness, window motors, windshield, and rear window, then I can find someone to help me remove the doors. Once all that's done, can look into removing the body and sending the body and frame to be media blasted/painted.

Damaged water-jacket or BHG?
dunno, second from the left look like it has seen some debris?
Those are moisture spots on the aluminum, it tends to corrode like that.
can't tell because blurry image
I used to do alot (read: Tons) of work on small engines, mostly Briggs & Stratton and you come across a few interesting cases. So you tend to see alot of marks like that. One I can remember off the top of my head came with an old go-kart I had gotten from a friend.
5hp briggs filled to the spark plug with water so it had PLENTY of corrosion. Didn't stop me from cleaning and using it for 3 years though. It had piston slap bad but it ran like a rapped ape.
3 years because replaced with 6hp 209cc briggs.

build a tower of palates
Tower? pffffibit, club house dude, big enough to fit his ride, a couch, TV and a fridge with booze or beer.
TV because racing games.
thats actually a good idea... bring them into the middle of nowhere on a fucking quad trail because jeep comanche dont give a fuck bout yo tiny trails
and just make a fucking fort amongst the tree's.
Then If i ever got a hunting license It'd make a pretty bad ass deer blind.
Fixed my popups today.

All the hard to get places on the dart have been blasted, going to take an orbital sander on sunday and get most of the other paint off if possible.
Pulled my spark plugs out to check on them, cylinder 2 still not playing nicely with spark plugs. Looked in the sparkplug well and could see some of the piston surface instead of just a layer of carbon.
Hey bradley(or anyone else), any insight into my plugs? They're around 10,000 miles old I think too.

I've been noticing that my gas mileage has decreased a decent bit and the exhaust smells a bit rich possibly. I've also consumed like 1qt of oil in the last 750 miles and when I opened my oil cap it and the oil cap smelt like gas.
I should be doing a compression test in the next few days, ugh. Hopefully my oil pan is just leaking onto my header like I think it's been doing since I bought the car and my o2 sensors are just finally not wanting to work correctly anymore.
New throttle cable assembly...yay cruise control!
Got in my Oil Cooler Kit, now just need to install it on a cold day.
Also lined up the parts to put my new turbo together.

Fixed the driver side turn signal assembly. Replaced with a less shite lens. Cleaned my idle air control valve and seated new o-rings on the injectors. Removed cruise control assembly and module
Still a lot of small stuff to do. I'm putting off the block rebuild until I can crack a plan of attack.
Replaced both inner and outer tie rods on the MR2. Inners were definitely the originals from '90. One was so worn that the joint was about to fall apart. Now after an alignment the car steers like new. On testing the new steering setup we almost hit a deer that had wandered into the road. Made for a good test though.
Next on the "to replace" list:
>Suspension bushings. Many of them are worn out.
>Boost controller. With the built internals no reason not to max the CT26
>Fix phantom oil leak. Looks like its coming from the drain plug but I have made sure that it is not. It's comming from somewhere above. Not sure where though.
>Steering wheel. The old owner like...ate, the top of it...
>Audio system. Buying a deck for Banned User (owner of the car) Thinking about this
Replaced the starter solenoid. Wouldn't be so annoyed if it would have had some warning signs instead of just dying
Hey Bradly, saw this and thought you'd get a kick out of it.

only a few years late :v:
only a few years late :v:
The internet is vast and videos out number populations of some midsized countrys, not everyone has seen everything.
And duh, saying its late is like saying centipedes have legs.
It has however been posted in this section once or twice.
It has however been posted in this section once or twice.
Oh... well.... there ya go then.
Cromagnum late it is then.
I saw that the day he posted it. I keep -- er, kept, good track of the build thread. I've recently gotten away from Bisimoto's stuff as he's been called out one too many times for using low quality parts and branding them as his own.

What in the world would he gain from branding.... never mind, he prolly does it for $$$$
Did this just before I sent it out to winter storage
before

after

took 10 hours of pure work. Did it all by hand. Are there any good techniques of polishing this old chrome that you guys know of?
Installed cross drilled/slotted rotors yesterday along with some ceramic pads. They're zinc coated black on all areas the pad doesn't touch, so it looks pretty nice. Feels great over OEM rotors/autozone pads.

So I've got the basic Exedy clutch kit now to replace the worn one that was on there before. Also got talked into getting the Nismo transmission mount because the other aftermarket ones don't have the catalytic converter support rods.
Gotta wait again for the Cusco solid motor mounts in another two weeks to get it. JDM direct shipping ugh
Hopefully you like your soild motor mounts, I'm not overly happy with my inserts and really kick myself over not going with Hardrace mounts which I had been eyeing as well.
