I need to do all these things. Master/Slave cylinders are probably failing that's why the transmission grinds on GF's car. Might do stainless steel line straight from the master to the slave. Sure do need a new clutch
I've heard good things about Equal/Exedy(the same) CMC's and CSC on Honda forums. On Rockauto there's a Raybestos 240sx CMC for $9.46 and CSC for $6.58 or a Wagner CSC for $3.04. That's even more of a deal than mine lol.. The stainless clutch line would cost at least twice more than the parts and doesn't really do a whole lot. I'd personally hold off til it causes problems or you dump money on a clutch and what not. $12.50-16+brake fluid is a hell of a deal. OverpricedZone and the local auto stores always want like $80 for whatever their inhouse brand CMC's around here at least. [editline]22nd February 2013[/editline] Oh, RockAuto also gives out 5% discount codes all over the internet. Team-Integra has one until March if anyone wants to stumble upon it lol. http://www.team-integra.net/forum/105-rockauto/207951-rockauto-introduction-discount-code.html There's also a few other forums which have them.
I don't know if I threaded incorrectly or what but it seemed tight into the rack there. Not leaking fluid or anything but the steering feels heavier for some reason
Did you bleed the rack and pump? I got my front brakes done, had to get a friend with an impact wrench to get it off. He had to try 7 times to get one lug nut off, as in being on the trigger for about 30 seconds each time + wd40. I ain't going to go to that used tire shop again, because you will never be able to get your wheels off. Otherwise I did the brakes within an hour and the whole thing went really smooth.
[t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1031910/Img%20Dump/2013-02-22%2015.56.05.jpg[/t] I loled slightly. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1031910/Img%20Dump/2013-02-22%2018.42.58.jpg[/t] Also Got a new compressor and holy shit I can run air tools now!
As long as this one doesn't catch fire...
One of these days I'm going to suffocate from driving this S13. There's 8 studs and nuts holding the exhaust mani to the KA24E head. Two of which are nowhere to be found on the very front mounts. Giant clutch fan blowing it straight into my nostrils. No thrills Also Alec, I'm debating on buying Raceland now. Really enticing. But the Nissan/JDM purists are protesting, it kills the big JDM bizz with cheap labor and parts. :/

I've used and seen them used in a variety of applications and they have never proved to be incompetent. They're comparable to a set of good lowering springs and aftermarket shocks, but with a much cheaper pricetag and the added capability of adjustable ride height. They're awesome to use on a DD but still provide enough performance to autocross and drive spirited on the street.
god these things are awesome [editline]23rd February 2013[/editline] that's without adjusting them any lower, i'll need camber and wheels to get hella low.
I know alot of vdub guys around here run ricelands just to dump their car, I've ridden in a car with them. You get what you pay for, they're okay for the money. But remember they're a cheap coilover setup and nothing more.
As long as this one doesn't catch fire...
I wouldn't leave it plugged in overnight this time either. I never leave power tools plugged in, they aren't exactly the safest things.
So I believe I have discovered that ARP head studs are not made for my car unless I contact ARP and have them custom made, which I can't afford. Fuck, and I looked for like a week. Made calls to ARP too and NOTHING. Oh well, 10.95 a bolt it is then. Also, eBay also has nothing, gol-damn its hard to find parts for my car. Also also, Honda charges 27 bux a bolt, fuck that and them....
Have you checked on rockauto?
Have you checked on rockauto?
Yup, nada damn thing. They're costly too.
Would lowering a Mini make it look any better? I'm just trying to do a few minor mods to my car, make it more... mine. Getting a Norwegian flag for the roof, stripes for the bonnet, and some minor trim bits. Looking toward getting an /r/mini sticker for the boot, and I'm taking suggestions outside that... I'm looking at Ram Air Intakes right now, just seeing what can be done.
You can make it look better by selling that Mini and buying something respectable :v: But seriously, be prepared for hours of frustration if you're gonna be doing underhood mods. Mini engine bays are fucking compact as shit, there's not much room for anything

Ended up replacing and modding my center console. Oem was 3 coin holders and horezontal power mirror switch. I had no use for coin holders, i filled them in with some sort of plastic filler. Came out bad, but i liked it at the time. Went and bought a Forester center console piece, has one coin holder and a fairly big pocket. The forester has a vertical power mirror switch on the door, i grabbed that too. Took the coin holder out, modded the hole to fit the mirror switch. Hooked it up, dropped it in my car. Works and looks so much better. I still didnt do the best modding the hole, but its not as bad as the old center console was

I pulled up that you order a couple of B18 non vtec/B20 headstud kits and keep a few as left overs. http://forums.acuralegend.org/getting-more-power-t10509.html?p=300500 ARP's instructions from what I remember are to retorque them after 50 miles or something. I've heard a lot of people ignore this but it sounds like it would be a complete bitch since AFIAK those motors are quite fun to take apart.
I like my Mini. Not selling it. The engine bay is pretty compact, but I'm sure I can fit something in there.
Just make sure you don't obstruct the oil filter. They're pretty annoying to get to on stock Minis, having aftermarket stuff in the way will make it that much more fun
Fixed my heater regulator switch thingy being broke and not regulating the heat. A bracket of sorts had come loose which made the wire not do what it was supposed to. Bit of a hassle. The white stuff is glue. Seems to work great. I also noticed my camera likes to focus on whatever I don't want it to. Oh, I fixed my boot rattling:
What car is it, and what engine?
C27A in an Accord, I think 95-97's only had it? It's the same motor they put in the 1st gen V6 Legends.

But I kinda raged and bought some OEM head bolts at 10.97 a pop. Far cheaper then what honda sells them for. And ARP would kill my wallet at this time...
Getting a Norwegian flag for the roof, stripes for the bonnet, and some minor trim bits.
I don't know why you're doing it, but I love it [img]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/heart.png[/img] I guess lowering it would make it a little bit cooler, but at the end of the day, it's still a mini.

oh no... [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/88211524/IMAG0247.jpg[/thumb] shit I did it again... [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/88211524/IMAG0249.jpg[/thumb] gearbox, where are youuuu
You know, I used to think the MkIII was ugly, but It's actually grown on me.
Ordered my transmission filter ($23) and tint samples to tint my blue high beam dash light ($3) Did more work on my center console piece, fixed my rear hatch trim that had a big crack in it. The fix doesnt look too good, but its better than it was. Worked on my hatch rattle, I think i know the cause and how to fix it. Ive done a temporary fix for now using electrical tape. Edit; No ones posted, figured id just add to my old post. Two of my windows had paint overspray on them from my cars first repaint, most of the windows had a thin film of green. I used neverdull to melt it off and clean it. Since im partially colorblind, i honestly couldnt see the overspray. I could only feel it and if i looked right, i could see specs. But now, i can tell that the windows do look better
Mini's still scare the frigg out of me after this video
