That blows. Hate when stuff like that happens.
I messed with my car a little more today. Some fun stats:
Old lbs/min of airflow:
24.4 (14 psi T-25)
New lbs/min of airflow:
37.0 (22.6 psi 20G)
Old estimated wheel horsepower:
254
New estimated WHP:
373
Old 70-90mph:
3.0 sec
New 70-90mph:
1.965 sec
Can't wait till I get my headstuds and cooling mods in so I can run 30psi.
Today I'll most likely get the new radiator from USA :3:
I drove my car around for like 3 months before I got insurance on it.
I went to a local u-pull-it today after picking up my top mount mani, dump tube, and oil/coolant lines.
got a bumper vent and power antenna for my 240, and a stock wheel for my dads new ls400.
I also saw an infiniti j30t that i wanted the differential out of, since its a VLSD, but decided it was too hot, and i only had a $70 ratchet set, a hammer, a pair of pliers, and a phillips and flathead screwdrier
today i broke my swaybar endlinks

How does one do that. lol
Today, we put my bud's car back together and tried to start it.

Finally fixed (temporarily) my temp and direction display. Took the overhead console down and found a bunch of minor mold spots from the sunroof leak. The list of fixes is shortened :v:
Changed spark plugs on my old car. Gonna sell it for millions next week.

slowly piecing together my topmount setup. next up is a wastegate
CANT FUCKING WAIT
Removed muffler from Wagon because it was about to fall off. Lol 20 year old rubber mounts.
Now it sounds like a generic honda rice rocket, because apparently somewhere along the line someone put full exhaust on it with a 6" glass pack.
wat.
replaced a headlamp after two months of procrastinating lol, replaced the cigarette lighter fuse, and killed the DRL's.
amazingly simple mod that took me long enough to hear about...

So you had a Glass pack underneath and didn't know it? :v:
Pretty much. Lol. It bolts ridiculously easy, I guess this was a cheap mans exhaust cutout. 2 bolts and the muffler comes off.
Sounds like a Cherry bomb. Got one of those on a little Nissan 2wd pickup my brother and I bought(mistake...), but it wasn't on there for long as my brother decided to take the truck up to parties in the mountains and the glass pack miraculously fell off while he tried to rally it. Only about $30 out of my pocket...
I'm kinda mad I ordered water wetter and heat wrap for my Talon last Wednesday and have been waiting for it to arrive since, then I was up at Advance Auto today and what do you know, they had both sitting on the shelves.
I got some other things too so at least they will be here tomorrow.
And the guy at Advance had his three hundo Z out today. Always nice to look at.

Guy at my local Autozone has a nice Subaru SVX.
I wish I had a cool Subaru...
I had to use this mother fucker today

nearly broke my wrist
Scrapped my old Fiesta as it wasn't worth anything. Got £130 for it but a part of me died.

At my local Autozone they have Srt-4's. :frown:
my autozone has a couple nice f350's, a s2000, and the occasional eclipse GS-T.
mike, your autozone has watter wetter? i asked about some at mine and they looked at me like i was crazy and said a 50/50 mix of coolant and water is best. i looked at them and laughed
Speaking of Autozone, I bought some "Exhaust Wrap" to wrap around my exhaust where it keeps disconnecting. The package specifically says:
Heavy Duty Muffler Bandage Jumbo size for all mufflers & Tailpipes Resists the high heat of all exhaust systems and catalytic converters
The instructions said to put it on, let it sit for ~30 minutes and then turn my engine on and Idle for ~10 minutes.
Incoming rusty pictures:
Where it keeps popping apart, and lots of rust

Moss growing in another hole with bit's of insulation from underneath the carpet hanging down.

Said Exhaust wrap after putting it on

After letting it idle for 10 minutes I turned it off and waited another 5 minutes or so and then went and got gas for my car and about half way there I started to smell the wrap, kinda smelled like it was getting singed or starting to burn, but not quite catch fire. So when I got to the gas station I got out and looked underneath and saw this:

Fucker was smoking. I sure hope that's part of the damn curing process.
Oh, and I get to change my moms Oil pan gasket today, or probably tomorrow if Autozone ever calls me back when they get the gasket in from another store.

Going on this weekend if the intake and flash tuner arrive by then.
That shits gonna be beast son
good choice on the brand
Boost leaks are the devil. :argh:
May get a new throttle body from a guy that rebuilds them with milspec seals to handle 50+psi. Then I pretty much won't have to worry about boost leaks from there again.
Also filled my radiator with 60/40 distilled water and coolant and a bottle of water wetter. Should keep temps down. Installed my front polyurethane motor mount insert too.
