I went and watched my house burn down. Yaaaaaaaaaay. :smith:
whaaaaaaaaaa-
Yep, house burnt to the ground with everything in it. No one was home, but two of the four family pets aren't accounted for (my cat and my sister's dog. My mom's dog and my dad's dog got out after the neighbor kicked in the door). I have my computer and two of my 8 guitars at my friend's house where I had been staying, and like one change of clothes. The title to my Civic just happened to be in the glovebox so I didn't lose it. The title to my '88 Lancer and the full service history (including the sales ticket from the dealer) was lost in the fire. :smith: My mom and dad are torn. Everything they owned was in that house. It's where I grew up, my grandpa built the house out of odds and ends back in the '70s. All of my childhood memories... Gone, just like that. It hurts, it hurts really bad. There is so much stuff I can't replace that has been reduced to ashes. No insurance or anything so it's a total loss. My dad, being the baller he is, already got a travel trailer to stay in while they work on getting a mobile home they had given to them moved in. His friends have been a huge help through the aftermath here. It's horrible timing. My dad invited me out to his shop just last week to invite me to move back in with them and that he was getting a divorce from my mom. He also offered me a job at his shop. All that pretty much went down the fucking shitter though. Ugh. Today's been pretty bad. I think I'm gonna go crawl into a corner and turn everything off. Or maybe get lost in some more Star Ocean 2.
Bradley, dude. I feel for you. It's really been an unfortunate day for your family and I hope you all can get back on your feet here soon. Your dad will figure it out.
Oh god I'm at loss for words :smith:
:woop: finally doin some gerdamn work Bleeding brakes checking all ma fluid levels taking hubcaps off correctly
HOLY FUUUUUUUUUUUU I REALLY want to go buy this Right now http://kpr.craigslist.org/cto/2349507909.html
DOIT Cool, found out my front tire has a tear, buying new fronties
Do it, put projector headlights on it. But the reflector around the light is blacked out. Make it threatening or like a car turned sentient and evil. Keep it black. Like this but black reflector.
That truck is awesome. In fact, I don't think I've seen anything more bad ass than that.
diesels need TARBOOOO
It would be twin turbo and all you would be able to hear is turbo spool Also got my insurance check =D Just under $1200 for getting rear ended in my pathfinder and a slightly misplaced bumper. Will cost me $80 to fix at the pick and pull, if that =D
[img_thumb]http://atomic.uirpg.com/host/files/DSCF1595.JPG[/img_thumb] Dem fat fivez. Picked up a set of Del Sol fat fives for $120 for my friend's CRX. They look MUCH better than the HUUUUUGE 17s Japfeiffer put on it. We've been fixing little things that were wrong with the car when he got it from Jap, still have a few things to do before ultimately do some rust elimination and paint the thing, I think he's going to keep it the stock red. [img_thumb]http://atomic.uirpg.com/host/files/DSCF1557.JPG[/img_thumb] Also plan on polishing these someday. They're a bit corroded but they still look alright.
Fixed brakes got new tires in the front fixed bentish rim took hubcaps off (the right way)
took hubcaps off (the right way)
Hammer? Also I painted the shit out of my hatch but need 2 more cans of paint and a not fucking windy day. [editline]30th April 2011[/editline] rattlecan primer, not actual good paint lol
I made a CAI for my car using part of the intake out of a 1990 Ford F150 with the 5.0l EFI. Hooks up to my stock torque box and goes into my fender. Has a nice growl to it when you stomp on it.
Went and ate with my family for the first time since the fire. It was pretty intense, talking about all of the memories we lost. And then after we left my dad and I had a race down the street. I was in my Civic and he was in his hot little 4.3l '91 chevy half ton. We caught up to cars so I don't know who won. But my dad's pretty awesome. In his 50s and still doing crazy shit, I hope I'm half as awesome as him when I get that old.
Dat 4.3L Drove to my grandpas and he gave me a Shop Vac. On the way home from their I stopped by Pick N pull to grab a wiring harness for my radiator fan, and some extra wire to get my fan working again. Stopped by Auto zone for some connectors, and then wired it up when I got home. I now have a working radiator fan, so I don't have to worry about getting stuck in traffic on the freeway or something anymore. Changed my oil too, because that seafoam I dumped in my oil last week made it really dirty. Then I Vacuumed my car, hosed down my floor mats, and hosed down my car, even though I just washed it last weekend. :argh: Damn tree I have to park it under drops flowers and flower petals all over my car, and the birds that sit in the tree shit all over my car too. [editline]30th April 2011[/editline] I was gonna get Oil at Autozone, but it was waaay too expensive. They were gonna charge me like $35 for a 5+ quart jug of Castrol High mileage and an oil filter. Went to Walmart and got it for $26
Hammer?
impact wrench :v: Compounded and waxed my car :fappery: Gonna post pics tomorrow when its sunny out
My paint's terrible, so I'm planning to sand it all off and primer it this summer, or whenever I have a day off and it's sunny. Got a job at Electronic Waste recycling place, and I start next Wednesday. $9 an hour, from noon to 7pm.
MY WAGON HAS NO HEART :derp: Motor is pretty much out. Everything is off/out of it (Both manifolds, all wiring harness, all coolant/fuel hoses, etc.) Unbolt the motor mounts tomorrow and lift the motor out. Worst part is it took me maybe an hour to get to that stage. I work on Hondas way too much.
It takes me about 3 hours to do a D-to-D motor swap, using just a cherry picker and hand tools. They're really easy to mess with.

I got my old, very first motorcycle running last night. It's a bright yellow Rebel. I got it about five years ago, then I got my 'Zuki and kind of neglected the poor thing. Drained the fluids, stuck a new battery in, replaced a lot of the lines. I started it up and ripped the backroads a new asshole. I forgot how zippy that little yellow hellion is.
Worked on drooling all over this set of bad boys http://tulsa.craigslist.org/pts/2355736152.html Those are, out of all wheels in the world, my favorite. I wish I could afford them but right now I can't, and what money I do have goes to gas to see my parents and whatnot. I had to beg some of my friends to pay my phone bill last night. It sucked. REALLY sucks because I've NEVER seen a set for sale (unless it was a forum post made 5 years ago or something) and especially not in my area. Fuck.
If I had the money I'd buy them for you.
