Mom asked me to wash her car, so while I was out, I washed my dads truck too. First day all week that it's been sunny like it is today.

Even as much as we fight and everything?
You're a good man.

I don't normally take internet fights seriously.
When I have the money, I love buying things for people but hate receiving.
Well I appreciate the thought, at least. It means a lot to me.
Especially when you have lost so much recently
i replaced the pads on the front brakes and epoxied the passenger side mirror back on so thats a problem that i fixed after about a year of having no mirror. and the brakes were squealing and one of the caliper bolts were like seized or something so i fixed that and i HOPE IT got FIXED
Pulled whole harness off of old motor and removed from engine bay. Axles are loose, etc. Just needs to be lifted out now tomorrow. Then I can clean the fuck out of the engine bay, add about 6 wires, and drop new motor in.
I installed my pretty new flywheel shims~ Swoon~
Changed oil/filter, front brake pads.
also need some transmission fluid, of which I only had a about a pint to top up with.
[editline]2nd May 2011[/editline]
also need new front tyres, approaching illegalness
I tightened my handbrake back so it's as tight as possible on the 4th ratchet crank. Since my car had an overheating problem I bought a new radiator cap, reservoir hose (It hasn't been hooked up to the Coolant Reservoir), and I took out the thermostat for inspection. The gasket around the thermostat is pretty much shit now, and I have to get a new one. I'll probably just keep the thermostat out until winter. In the end my car doesn't go above 140 F, it came all the way down from 240 F.
I also replaced the fuel filter and patched holes in my exhaust. My only thing now is deciding if I want to put in dual exhaust or buy the stuff for my new audio system.
Buy Dual exhaust, then you don't need a stereo. :smug:

I'm thinking dual exhaust and a Hooker header. I'm so glad I finally patched some of the bigger holes in my exhaust, that rice burner popping sound is finally gone.
im tired of no job.
theres so much shit i want to do
Tried to clean some sludge off my engine with half a can of Foamy Engine Brite Gunk stuff today. Only got the side of the block sorta clean. The sludge is damn near 2 mm thick in some areas, I swear.
[editline]2nd May 2011[/editline]
Ran out of Gunk spray, engine is still filthy.
Some car washing bays have an engine and tire cleaner formula. Comes right out of the nozzle, then you just spray it down with the pressure wash. Sprayed some on a month ago and it actually helped a lot.
I don't really want to risk fucking my engine up with a pressure washer though. :/

Just need to watch electrical connections and you should be alright. Don't really have to use the pressure washer anyway, just wash it down a bit.
ill pressure wash my engine bay tomorrow and i'll let you guys know how it works out
I pressure wash the SHIT out of my engine bay.
The ONLY TIME I've ever had problems is on my old Toyota Corolla, water got under the distributor cap. Took the screws out and shook the cap a couple times. That was it.
Seriously, it's PERFECTLY safe. Just make sure that you leave the engine running while you do it. If you drown it out and it dies, you'll know the last thing you hit before it died on you, dry that shit off and you're good to go :D
Alrighty then, I know of one of those Car wash bays just a little down the road from me. I'll do that tomorrow I think.
How the fuck are flywheel shims funny? You creeps.
HA HA, FLYWHEEL SHIMS
I GET IT
....Okay I don't really get it.
Motor is out of wagon. Past that, I've been too busy jizzing myself.
D15B2?
[editline]3rd May 2011[/editline]
I'm trying to get ahold of a D16Z6 right now :smug:
Yup, stock D15B2. Getting replaced by a D16z6 =p Got it for free from my uncle after he pulled it from his Del Sol. Turbo parts are going on it, and I'm just going to run it at the stock eclipse 8psi waste gate setting. Need to add a few wires to my harness for the +2 injectors, 3 wires for the new 02 sensor, and then it can go back together.
Eclipse == 8PSI? Uh, you might want to recheck that... Pretty sure 1g and 2g eclipses run 12psi.
Also are you going to OBD1? (I ask because of the 3 wire o2 sensor) it's way easier to pick up a socketed PM6, EEPROM burner, swap to OBD0 MPFI and wire for a Z6 dizzy than it is to fuck with OBD1. Plus you can run DSM 440cc's in OBD0 MPFI with no modification to your resistor box. Just cut the tabs out of the center, dremel the rubbers on the intake out a bit, slap them in, change your fuel map on your chipped PM6, and you are good to go.
I dunno about the wastegate setting, but it still doesn't concern me. Some wagon guys run D16Z6s bone stock and 18psi.
Yeah, going OBD1. I have a P28 already I got with the motor, and I'll probably just pick up a OBD0 -> OBD1 conversion harness from Rywire. I'll fix the dizzy plug myself, I have lots of that stuff laying around. Also, my car never had a resistor box prior. DPFI motor gooo! I'll just be wiring resistors inline rather than finding a box.
Yeah you don't have a resistor box with DPFI...
And you don't need resistors for OBD1 injection, bro!
Oh fucking lol, I forgot about that. YAY NO RESISTORS.
