I helped my friend re-paint his valve cover today. Since he wasn't going to do a ghetto-rig job we stripped the old paint off first with the help of a heat gun, a pressure washer, and some paint stripper. The whole job was sorta rushed, but for something we did in half the time it should have taken the end result was probably a nine outta ten. Now his valve cover is blue (not my choice of color, but meh).
Last picture was dark 'cus we installed it last night, having done the job in a quarter of the time it should have taken. Since we were doing it at night we had to bring a light out to his car, and from this sprouts a bit of a funny story about how a junebug almost got into his engine.
I think I should paint the rocket cover on the jeep too. Maybe black

It's a '97.
Took off the whole front end of the Explorer (excluding front bumper) just to access the clips that hold my headlights in. Thanks Ford. Anyway, removed the moisture from one of the lights and snapped it all back together. Tried the toothpaste method to remove some of the oxidation... wasted time.
aem dryflow, spool sound is halved though :c

My muffler fell off.
My friend had a fart can, so we threw that on.
Oh god it's too loud

Not sure if I should order a silencer, or put something else on.
honestly much better
Wow edberg, that looks great. Not the ricer piece of shit you used to have your car look like.
How much would a silencer quiet down my fart can? It is insanely loud right now.
Just buy a new muffler. Not that expensive.

A silencer is $14. I like the sound of the fart can, but it is just way too loud. I don't know what muffler to buy to get the tone I want.
Put a starter on a 2001 Honda Civic, made $75.
Took me ~15 minutes.

Open a Honda shop, make shit tons of money off ricers who don't want to get their nails dirty.
More like,
Open a Honda shop, get ripped off for shit tons of money by ricers who don't have money to spend.
I know a ton of fucktarded honda owners that pay ridiculous amounts of money to have a moderately less slow car. It's not even funny.
Well given that I can barely get the people whose cars I work on now to pay me (all Hondas mostly, it's what I know in and out so it's what I do best) I don't think a Honda shop would be that good of a business. Definately would open my own shop if I had the money. I have the time. As much as my dad taught me and as much as I know about imports I could definitely get an import shop going here... The hard part is starting it.
Cleaned off the 547, put the crankshaft in, assembled the pistons. Was about to put them in but the bearings we got were for a small block, there goes $200. Atleast something is getting done. Fuckton of parts should be in sometime next week or the week after.
I finished the radiator install and washed both cars :buddy:
Wound the passenger window up and this happened. What do?
