[QUOTE=justin1992;30044932]Albuquerque, NE[/QUOTE] Awesome, I'm from Los Lunas :respek:
[URL=http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/820/derpmobile.jpg/][IMG]http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/7457/derpmobile.jpg[/IMG][/URL] Honestly, it's like people still expect anything I do to my bike to make sense and be pretty. :colbert: [editline]25th May 2011[/editline] It's a fence bracket with my license plate bolted on.
[QUOTE=lemon_lover;30038089]chicken coop in massive wagon space? anything else will make me sadface[/QUOTE] lol'd at massive wagon space, he drives a subaru.

[QUOTE=Charybdis;30043626]I put together a bar stool today :)[/QUOTE] and how is that car related?

Today I'm going to work on murdering the person who designed the 3.5 GM V6. The water outlet log on the back of the engine is the stupidest piece of engineering I've ever seen, and whoever designed this like that should be brutally murdered. If it's not cutting my arms up it's eating my tools or the gasket I'm trying to slide into place. Next time you're designing something, I don't mind if you make it hard to get off but fuck, at least make it accessible. If I can't get more than an 8th turn on a wrench, on a bolt that has 20 threads inside the actual hole, then I'm going to be turning that motherfucker ALL FUCKING DAY. SIX TIMES. FOR EACH OF THE SIX FUCKING BOLTS YOU PUT THERE. Fuck you, General Motors. Fuck. You.
the wheel studs on the back of the camaro aren't long enough :| it's going to be even LONGER until i can fix the mustang hnng [editline]26th May 2011[/editline] actually fuck it people do it all the time i'll do it in the driveway [editline]26th May 2011[/editline] fuck lifts they make you lazy [editline]26th May 2011[/editline] doin it the way our ancestors did
[QUOTE=Hell Strike;30073295] fuck lifts they make you lazy [/QUOTE] I want one :(
>3 days spent putting new water outlet log gaskets in the 3.5 V6 >Get it back together and fill it full of water >motherfucker has a blown head gasket Fuck free jobs. That should have cost them hundreds of dollars (Mind you, I wouldn't have charged them that much) and I did that shit for free because the car is still broken. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
i put my sun deflector thing in my windshield, car was getting too god dammed warm in the sun [editline]27th May 2011[/editline] theres a house with a garage in the back yard the guy used to have a sexy red el camino out front with bonertastic side exaust pipes n shit I REALLY want to knock on the door and ask, but his house is like 30 feet behind a fence with 4 signs that say BEWARE OF DOG :/ [editline]27th May 2011[/editline] (it was for sale)
I'll sell you my '65 for the right price :V needs drivetrain but it's complete.
Went up to a stone company and got 2100lbs of crushed limestone and made a small "driveway" for my car
Abouts to go to Les Schwab and fix the flat tire I got last weekend, and buy a new battery for my Van. [editline]27th May 2011[/editline] The battery in my van is marked that it was bought in August of 2002, and it still somehow manages to hold a little bit of a charge, barely though.
Just got back. Cost me $99.50 with battery trade in and tax. x.x The last one lasted about 10 years so, I guess it's worth it... [editline]27th May 2011[/editline] Flat tire fix was free though. :D
[QUOTE=Ldesu;30074666]I want one :([/QUOTE] if you lived near me i'd let you use it for free <3
I'm thinking of cutting a hole into my hood and making a hood scoop that funnels air directly into the top of my air box, and since we don't have TOO much rain here in Albuquerque i don't think it will be a problem. I'll probably buy the mini pilot one you can get at autozone for $15 and bolt it on. Paint it to match or whatever. In theory it sounds like a great idea, but i don't know where any of the high pressure zones are on this car so i don't know if it actually WOULD be a good, functional idea, however i don't think it would HURT except for maybe aesthetics, but even then i don't think it would look too bad. What do you all think? [editline]27th May 2011[/editline] I'm too lazy to photoshop up a picture so use your imagination or throw together a quick shop if you want. I'd appreciate it :tiphat:

but its a functioning scoop, not just sitting on his hood
A functioning scoop to push air into his modified stock airbox. Get a tarbo and TMIC and then think about cutting holes in your hood.
Last time i checked, Turbo + Rotary = New Engine first time driving. Not to mention the price it would cost for the turbo alone, let alone all the other shit you need with it, such as an intercooler...I'm looking for small little things to give me a little bit better performance that i can do in my garage for free...Would supplying the modified airbox with fresh, cold air, and a shit load at that, not help? I mean, isn't that what an engine needs? not all of this hot stuffy air inside the compartment?
I would think that would help a bit, not a whole lot since it's just a more air, but It should help a bit. Do it if you want to, it's your car.

I mean, isn't that what an engine needs? not all of this hot stuffy air inside the compartment?[/QUOTE] What are you looking to gain? 1hp at the top end on a dyno? Sure, cut a hole in your hood. Also, turbo rotary isn't a bad thing at all. Maybe if you plan on boosting a million pounds and redlining the fucker all day like every other rotary boy who thinks he is hot shit because his engine's name sounds like something he does at his computer when the 'rents are gone or asleep late at night. A few pounds of boost, even 5PSI, could provide an extra 30-60 horsepower, which is a lot in a small car like the RX-7. And if your engine can't handle 5PSI, then you've got something wrong. With a good tune and 10PSI, you're looking at up to 150~ gain. It's all how you put it together, not "This part == death". If you're looking for a little more power, and you're carb'd: Go Weber. If you're injected, bigger injectors + tune, or even a mild tune in some cases can bring out a dozen or more lost horsepower in an older engine. A nice thorough servicing can also bring back some lost horsepower, such as cleaning the throat of the throttlebody or carb, new plugs and wires, a hot MSD or Accel coil, an MSD ignition box can also give you a bit of a power boost but it's a lot of money for so little. There are a lot more things you can do than chop a hole in your perfectly fine hood, and all of these things will look less stupid and provide more of a power boost than a little bit of cold air.
If you want a 'scoop' then scoop the air from the fender or through the bumper / grill openings. Much more efficient and won't look retarded.
only "scoop" I'll ever put on my car will probably be one of these: [img]http://www.allproducts.com/manufacture100/giz4wd/product3.jpg[/img] :v:
