Y U DO DIS [editline]7th June 2011[/editline] I wanna keep what little handling my pig has.. I enjoy spirited driving. No air :|
go static then bruh
I've got to stick a fan of some sort in my Volkswagen. 104 with 80% humidity is not fun. Roll down the windows, it's like a wet hairdryer blowing in your face.
We just hit 80 for the first time in something like 200 days last weekend.
During the day here in florida it's about 93 degrees at 70% humidity. no ac on mah sr20 swaps
We hit 60 for the first time since early last fall the weekend before that.
We hit 60 for the first time since early last fall the weekend before that.
Poor you. There's full grown dogs melting outside.
The weather app on my phone says it's 58 deg F right now.
Quick question, how would I "recharge" my AC system? Does the different refrigerant matter? What's the best/coldest refrigerant I could buy if that's the case?
go static then bruh
..I am static. Koni Coilovers. Also my A/C on my SR swap broke like 4 times... :(
Quick question, how would I "recharge" my AC system? Does the different refrigerant matter? R134A is the new standard for AC systems today, so you'll need to check around your engine compartment to see if there's a sticker stating whether you need R134A or the older type. On Auto AC, there's a High side and Low side, for high and low pressure and in order to check those you'll need the proper tool, being this nifty gizmo HERE. I can't post a picture due to Gary not fixing broken media tags... There's a few different type of those tools and if you need some quick info on this stuff, go HERE That tool there will allow you to change or charge your freon also not just check it. A couple tips too: Don't get freon on your hands, at all. Wear a mask if your not in a ventilated area and DON'T over charge the system, if you do and it blows you'll be paying out the ass for new parts or could harm yourself. Good luck to ya.
I've got a few people that would help me out with this, thanks for the info twist.
Put my new crystal clear corner and side indicators on my '95 BMW. Replaced the old looking orange.
Put my new crystal clear corner and side indicators on my '95 BMW. Replaced the old looking orange.
cars from 95 with clear corner brothers unite
I've painted some of the old rust spots on the left side on the Jeep since the rust has been fixed but not painted, so I just had some white paint on so it doesn't look that fugly. It's temporary ofc as it's getting a full-body respray during the summer when I can afford it :v:
Attempted taking apart a manual transmission a few days ago out of sheer rage because my client is a greedy asshole. Went in over my head and it's been sitting half apart for a few days. Going to bite the bullet today and see if i can finish it since I got the Haynes back
Put my coilovers on
Rebuilt 3 A/C systems in the last day. One had none of the equipment at all, on was missing the lines, and one had a bad compressor clutch. Tomorrow I have to tack down the motor mounts for the 229 in the 88 S-10, pull the motor, finish the mounts off with a nice bead and then we're ready to drop the 229/350 turbo swap in. With these mounts, he should be able to swap later on to a small block V8 without much hassle. Only thing that bothers me is that the #2 spark plug is damn close to the steering shaft, it's going to be a bitch to ever get that plug out. You'd have to use a wrench from the bottom of the engine bay instead of a plug socket like normal. Also, as soon as I feel like starting on it, I'm building myself a wiring harness for a 151cid Iron Duke, it will be going into the '64 El Camino with a Borg Warner T5 behind it and it will be fuel injected. The ECU will be donated from a 1987-1991 Chevrolet Beretta. It will be single injector for now, down the line I may upgrade to the '91-'94 Cavalier/Beretta/Corsica/etc. Split-port Injection. If I have to rebuild the harness for GM's SPFI, I'll probably go with the Tremec T5 from the '94-'95 2.2 S-10 and swap over again to either the 3100 V6 or an equal powerplant, possibly the supercharged 3800 V6 or a quad-cam 3400. Then again, that's later. Right now I'm going to build the single injection harness. It should be cake, throttlebody injection wiring is simple, MAP + TPS + Injector + angle sensor, run dual GM coils and bung the dizzy hole. I might pick up a couple of the MSD dual-post coils for it. I'll be mounting the coilpacks remotely instead of on the engine like they are on the late model S-10 and front-wheel drive GMs. Anyways, that about sums up what I've been doing since I last posted and what I'm about to do. :D
