I parked in grass. And then lowered the front more and am taking our rear perches next week.. No pics till the final height settles in :)
YEEESSSS MoAR LOW
Have my laptop sold for $140. Lemon you better get a box ready to ship that shit. I'll have the money in 5-7 days or something. Also someone find me a TD-02U or TD-18U distributor for less than ~$100
YEEESSSS MoAR LOW
Would you like a fine glass of moarlow with your car?
woohoo they took pictures of my car at a local meet lol! My buddy's Opel next to mine :) Also going to get new headlight because the ones i have now are so fucking matte :(
Getting a TD-02U dizzy for my car today for practically free. Guy needed a Z6 dizzy and Z6 solenoid and I had them in my junk pile, straight trade for a CRX Si TD-02U dizzy and MPFI tomorrow possibly!
woohoo they took pictures of my car at a local meet lol!
You know what's coming next... See 3 posts up.
Crap, the problem is i can't, my tires are already rubbing on the arches... and i dont want to ruin the tires, They're shit expensive continental, they cost 2100dkk a piece... which is umm.. 280$ for one... [editline]13th June 2011[/editline] Also posted in the wrong topic, oh well cars are cars
lol we didn't find any place to put the damn horn so we're gonna take it to a garage where they have a trench or whatever so you can get underneath easily and mount it under the car somewhere there's space possibly tomorrow
You know what's coming next... See 3 posts up.
:Q: my friend just got a 240 coupe, frame rails are prolly only an inch off the ground, one of the tries blew out from camber wear since the last guy apparently didnt give a shit, the frame was on the ground
I've had rear camber for a few months and no noticable wear... once I go moarlow I might start noticing it though
So I am waiting on the money to deposit from selling my laptop and then I'll send you the money, Lemon. You should get a box ready and pack it, I'm very eager to have that thing so I can rebuild it. Decided I'm going internal wastegate since I'm also getting a hell of a deal on an IWG, actuator and bracket, V-band flange and all. That way all I need to do is get a manifold, IC and piping and a cheap $20 knockoff BOV to get boosted. I'd say I'm a couple hundred bucks away from being fully boosted, and another couple hundred away from my power goal for this motor.
I my horn quit working a few months ago, decided yesterday that i was going to try and fix it. Couldn't find the horn itself so i started moving large clumps of wires and fuses around hoping it was hidden somewhere...Eventually gave up and figured I'd try it again and what do you know, it works now. I'm guessing water got in a connection or something is loose or shorting out but i can't find the horn or any fuses or wires for it ANYWHERE so whatever. [editline]14th June 2011[/editline] Also found out after cleaning my headlights that they are two different brands, one is a wagner halogen and the other is some wyo___ halogen, neither of which is bright enough to light up 5 feet in front of the car at night...Good thing I've got nowhere to go i guess
ac broke florida y u so hot
So, I've been driving basically without an exhaust for 4-5 months, and my car has been loud as balls. I kindda liked it, I'm not gonna lie. So today I got a complete, stock exhaust system mounted. It says fucking nothing. Not a sound. It's pretty weird and nice on the same time.
Your car looks a lot lower than usual in that picture.
ac broke florida y u so hot
AC? What's that? :smug: Drove around today in 98 degree weather for two hours at less than cruising speed. [editline]14th June 2011[/editline] Why is my shirt so wet it hasn't been raining and I didn't spill mountain dew wtf
who wants a filter http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/pts/2440986449.html
I am doing a MPFI swap in the dark! It's the most fun thing I have ever done!!! Cerealously!!! :smithicide:
who wants a filter http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/pts/2440986449.html
iz dat yo digitz
Yea dawg call him up we can go driftin together yo
im getting a shop/garage/warehouse space tomorrow so hopefully that will speed up the time it takes to fix my coupe
So my car is multiport on saturated 240cc injectors with a funky MAP. I might have to fuck with it to get it to work but I went with Z6 style IM/TB. It's really nice, much more power from 2000-3000, although I've got rev limit at 5500 until I get ahold of a PM6, chipped or otherwise. It took me 4 hours in the dark. I've never done a DPFI -> MPFI swap in daylight. Also it poured down rain for an hour and a half. Was going to push it into the garage but then remembered my house burnt down :u so I put it under a carport that I forgot floods easily during rain. So I did an MPFI swap with an inch of water at my feet.
It was more like two or three inches. Also we are going to post a video of it starting for the first time in a bit.
Both of you are win. Thats fucking dedication to a legendary type O' machine. Had I my car where I live I'd prolly be working on it right now, even at 3:26 am. (79' Pontiac Catalina) Fuck the neighbors, they can sleep when they 're dead...
Well it's about 3AM now, I finally got this video uploaded. This was me finishing up the final two wire dizzy jumper and popping the dizzy in, and then trying to start it for the FIRST time. I was pretty happy with the results. inb4 it really explodes Sorry for the volume, recorded on an HTC Evo. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] Also going to Whataburger. I'm bad at remembering to tighten Dizzy bolts.
Your exhaust rapes the sound quality and it makes us sound like robots. Haha. Awesome nonetheless.
So I went from Sunpro 3" tach to Autometer Sport Comp Silver with shift light I wanted a slightly larger tach but not one that was chrome or black, those feel too tacky to me (pardon the pun). This one came out of my sister's old racecar and was once in his 1000+ hp big block Dodge drag truck, so it was sort of passed down through the family. It has the shift light with it, I plugged it in and set it to 5k for now until I get a PM6. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] Wow shit these are a lot of money http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ATM-3911/ Thanks Dad, that saved me a couple hundred bucks. [editline]15th June 2011[/editline] Also Japfeiffer bought a '93 Civic parts car, we're going to dick with it tomorrow and pull the P28 ECU, D16Z6 head and 4 wire O2 sensor for his car. Might even swap it all tomorrow.
Also going to Whataburger. I'm bad at remembering to tighten Dizzy bolts.
how can you drive with the noise
Did a coolant flush today. Robot voices, robot voices everywhere. I can't keep my mouth shut and sound like an idiot at the end about the turbo nonsense. Sorry 'bout that.
