anyone know about high profile tires? whats a good one in 215/60r15, maybe something with a stiff sidewall
BFGoodrich Radial T/A, they're for light offroading or street use, I had a set once and they rid alright but a bit rough due to having thick sidewalls. Comp T/A is a good one too but not as beefy, I'd reccomend both.
Now I'm scared. You two talking about tires made me wonder about the tires on the front of my Subaru. They were put on after 2 tires wore out, and are made by Runway (a company have never heard of) Turns out it is a chinese company, and their website just has a picture, a paragraph of text, and addresses/numbers/emails. They seem to be pretty good tires though. They grip better than my Kumho KR21's.
I had TRIANGLE or some other Chinese brand tire when I first bought the car, grip was average and they rode harsh. My current tires grip like fucking velcro, hope I don't miss that too much once I get my 15's. I also think I have a water leak, every time I get in my car it's really humid and my glasses fog up. Guess I messed something up when I reinstalled my roof rack using silicone.
anyone know about high profile tires? whats a good one in 215/60r15, maybe something with a stiff sidewall
I'm currently infatuated with my General Grabber AT2's, though I have BFG T/A KO's on my Dakota. The Grabber's seem to have an obscene amount of grip, especially when mounted on such a small car.
that and they have an awesome looking tread pattern
Both of them have good tread patterns. The Grabbers seem to have a better sidewall, but again, it's on a 1900 pound car.
Spent 3 hours today replacing the passenger side outside door handle and fixing the drivers side linkage that the previous idiot jerry-rigged. Didn't get around to the horn before the rain hit but 'twas a productive evening. Painted the inside door handles to match the rest of the interior, too.
Got the ac workin' in the roomies Wagovan. I was gonna use the refill that comes with it's own gauge, but he (the roomie) got the wrong one, luckily a friend of mine had one of those gauge things so it worked out. Finally, something to post about. :\
I finally fixed my vacuum leak. I replaced a foot long section of tube that went to the fuel pressure regulator. I mean the car was getting so bad it would not even crank. Not to mention the damn hose was tword's the back of the engine were it took 2 people to thread the new tube. (Once on each side)
Well that sounds like tons O' fun.
My door handle took 3 hours, 2 attempts with welding, some bolt cutters, 3 people, and a shit load of jerry-rigging Such as bending linkage and re-arranging various parts because the previous owner fucked it all up to shit when he tried to "Fix" it. Wasn't much fun but I'm happy it's working. Only problem now is if i lock the door while I'm driving, I'm locked in. I need to roll the window down and use the key on the outside or it won't unlock, it binds up somewhere. Not that big of a deal though, i never lock it when I'm driving anyways. Key works in both doors now, too, so that's good. Only problem i have now is my horn shorting out somewhere. Decided to work today when i honked at someone and it worked in the driveway, but it didn't work yesterday when someone cut me off so meh. I'll fix it eventually
my insurance is getting too expensive, might have to garage my car and get a beater :l
Go to a male strip club. Wear a Subaru man thong and shake it in front of the ladies. You'd make mad loads of money yo.

auto eww noo grooss cheap autos are bad because it's a lot harder to diagnose an auto going bad vs a manual going bad
I'm not sure if they even offered that as a manual in the American model atleast.
bought an oxygen sensor online for my car only to realize that it's not compatible with my car because my car is the SULEV version, which has a different connector than the ULEV version now I need to return it and find the correct one
auto eww noo grooss cheap autos are bad because it's a lot harder to diagnose an auto going bad vs a manual going bad
i'd just swap it if that happened, both are too much a pain in the ass to try and diagnose

Painted headlight beauty covers and outside lenses black and brought tire pressure on all tires from 30 back up to 48, rated at 51 so i figure with how hot it gets here and whatnot that should be fine. Was going to fix some rattling exhaust and exhaust heat shield but got a blazing headache and gave up. Oh well. [editline]26th July 2011[/editline] Saw a nice-as-fuck STI Limited next to me at a stoplight...Twas a gangsta wearin his hat backwards and cocked to the side with a fart-can on it...Looked like a 2008 or so model...Sad stuff.
there's no such thing as a fart can on an sti god damn motherfucking shit
My father and I cleaned the MAF sensor in his Ford Ranger, now it idles at ~800rpm instead of 700-1200rpm. Tomorrow after work, we will look into the O2 sensors and whatever else, his mileage per tank went from ~400 miles to ~250 miles over the past few years.
Nothing big, I was planning on changing the a/c filter, so I took off my glove department to check it out to see if it needed to be changed and I found a state inspection form from 12/2/2003 for my 2004 vehicle, thought that was cool...
Drove the Astro down to Emissions aaaaaand....it failed. BARELY though, but it's sat for 6 months. I'm gonna drive it around for a few more days before I take it back and try again.
Changed the drivers side upper control arm on the roomies Wagovan today, that and the tierod end. Such great fun that was, not having the tool to remove the tierod end, a bud of mine helping out went and borrowed the proper tool from the shop next to where we were working on the car (He drives a tow truck). Then he got bitched out by the owner whos pretty much just a douche but what ever. The day before we changed out a collapsing CV joint, rather the whole axle being Auto-zone, Napa and noone else sells just the joint/bearing. Also recharged the AC WOO! No more breathing stank ass diesel exhaust trying to keep cool whilst on ze road. /All in 2 days work

Atleast he didn't do any frame damage. That'd suck big time.
Amazing how stupid people are, aint it? I just ran to the post office to mail in a netflix dvd, followed a guy all the way there and all the way back home, Didn't even tap his brakes for each and every one of the 10 stop signs on the way. Pissed me off to the point where i wanted to punch him in the face and steal his car keys/drivers license, no more driving for you dickhead...It's just fucking asking to get in an accident with another car/a pedestrian, unbelievable...like i said in the general discussion thread, this city is full of inbred fucking idiots. [editline]27th July 2011[/editline] I liked your car, too D: Always wanted a wrx...
