Just by glancing at it, I really did think those were refrigerator coils.
Painted my driver side door and roof....at long last my truck is finally one solid color

Played around with some cheap polish
Can you spot where I tested it :v:

And then roughly polished the whole roof:

No more matte pink roof
The sun is too strong now to polish more but I did get the absolute worst at least. And I've never polished a car before so I got a little experience :v:
looks like one of those grungy old workshops that produce six-figure classic british cars
i wish :(
I either need a new wiring harness or I need to stop going to work at 5:00 in the morning when it's soo wet outside
ecu throwing MAF code all over the place. reset it and went back home just fine
Remember when i came in here and posted about the squirrel my fan destroyed? Well, shortly after my A/C took a shit and i figured maybe it hit something when it flung the squirrel around by its guts and fucked the coolant system up, sprung a leak or something; Or maybe it just needed a recharge. Well i went out a bit ago with the intention of cleaning under where my air box was now that i got the Ram installed, and checking fluids, and found that before the power wire for the A/C was hanging over the belts and now, was gone. Turns out, from what i figure, when the body whipped around it hit that wire that was just hanging, ripped it out of the plug on the harness it went to, and threw the wire into the belts to be ripped apart. So i spliced a new wire in, wrapped in elec tape, put it out of the way of the belts and plugged it in; Ice cold AC again baby. Feels good.
Also, I sent in an application for UTI today; If i get accepted, I start on the 7'th of January. So i have a couple months to get enough cash to pay for housing while i look for a job over there. Dad is going to try and hook me up with a job as a security guard with a guy he knows. Plan on taking courses in Automotive, as well as High-Performance power-train (turbo, supercharger, hot rod, dragster, nitrous etc.) and maybe a diesel course afterwards. Every Saturday i get to take my car to their 9 football field long building, into the shop, and use their full range of tools to work on my own vehicle. Can't wait.
[editline]27th August 2011[/editline]
The fucking shop is so big man...It has everything to a paint booth and dyno room for cars and engines, to a fucking NAPA AUTO PARTS STORE in the middle of the goddamn school...I mean, fuck
[editline]27th August 2011[/editline]
If i can get a job in that store, I would never have to leave the school except to sleep in my apartment; i wouldn't need to worry about driving across town to a shit job somewhere, just walk down the hall.
And one of the kids that works there is planning on graduating the same time i start my courses, so there should be a slot open
Today I put a new distributor seal in so my CRX won't piss oil all over my tranny and block.
Oh, nevermind, I didn't, because Japfeiffer took all of the fucking tools, my O-rings, (and my dad's hammer and crowbar, which my dad got pissed at me because he needed the hammer to get the rotors off of Jap's parts car, which he was doing FOR Jap, for fucking free) and he lives in the next town over. And he works at 4PM.
I swear to fucking god asihgaagbfgjsjk

Oops.
I moved my Civic today. Unloaded all of the shit out of the back and now it seems like it sits way up in the back lol.
Then again I had a complete engine and transmission in the back of the car in bits. Lots of weight. D:

That's a lot of weight for a car twice the size of your civic. :v:
Just got a new rad cap for my RX7, not only was the old one no good but it wasn't even the right one for the radiator, making it so instead of the fluids escaping into the overflow, they splurt and bubbled out into my engine bay. More and more i learn how much of an idiot the kid i bought this from was. One of the most simple things you could do in car maintenance and he couldn't even pull it off. Makes me wonder what he didn't do right when he redid the clutch and dropped the tranny himself. With no professional help. Not even his dad. *sigh*
changed oil; made mess
changed out my buddies brakes and started on the brakes on my brothers mustang but the dumbass drove so long with no pads that the brake piston got fuckered from rubbing on the rotor......... so thats gonna take a minute to fix

Use wrench to loosen oil pan nut, set wrench aside, unscrew with fingers and quickly move out of the way.
First oil change i ever did and i never got a single drop of oil on my hands or wrench or the concrete anything, didn't even drop the bolt.
Speedo cable and coolant tank for Civic get! Both of my Hondas are now roadworthy again.

I went to tighten it back on I think and stupidly didn't move the bucket. Also, I'm clumsy as fuck.
Most of the mess came from this bullshit, since the car was angled no oil was draining from the nipple so when I unscrewed it the engine came on me

never even have to jack up the car
:( Want
My car still a reliable mule.
I drove 32 miles without a speedo because all the bulbs on that side had gone :/, using the over-speed warning system to give me an indication of speed.
Just pulled the cluster out and replaced all the bulbs, It is very bright now. Never been so bright.
Was surprisingly easy to get out, Pulled the shroud off and then just two Torx-20 screws, had plenty of wire to leave it all plugged in while working on it too.
Also passed 80,000 Miles today :D
I've never actually saw an over speed indicator in real life. Do you know if cars in the US have them? I know they probably rely on GPS unless you have a national speed limit.

That's a pretty bad idea for my car. I already dent the oil pan fairly often.
I don't have to jack up my Subaru as it is. I just crawl under it and change the oil
