Going to flush my radiator later today. Hope it all goes well.
:smith: I may spray paint my bicicycle rims gold. and i really wanna paint a gay stripe on my aunts honda civic, its just a junker she leaves at our house four when she goes on vacation here in NJ. like a really ugly lime green stripe.
Installed some new features on the GTI.
I can't help but notice you're missing a rocket launcher button.
I can't help but notice you're missing a rocket launcher button.
It's hidden from the cops under a false top of the gear lever also I haven't yet been able to change the caliper... right after I bought a new one we kinda got 30 cm more snow in just two days and there isn't a garage in miles around that I can borrow :saddowns:
I really think the lip compliments the new headlights and grille Before and now
Worked on buying some oil and a filter... seafoaming and changing it this weekend/Monday. Went with Mobil1/Fram Extraguard. Using the cousins shop so I can get this stupid p.o.s. plug off. Thanks Valvoline for stripping my shit, really appreciate it. [editline]11th February 2011[/editline]
It's hidden from the cops under a false top of the gear lever
Pretty clever. :ninja: Edit: Mixed up a batch of some Vegi Oil and Iso-Alcohol. I assume most of you know how a diesel works so I applied that principle to my pellet gun (spring/piston... break barrel). Shits so awesome.
Oh yeah. So my heads are out and all cleaned up and shit, tomorrow the new gaskets are going on and everything is going back together. I've got lots of pictures, I'll post them when I have time after I'm done. Also have new longtube headers, and lots of go-fast parts. My mustang is going to be stupid. Mike, I'm looking at you. We are gonna internet-race this shit.
I'm going to fix the drivers door on my dodge ram, so it will open. Shouldn't be too hard. Along with that I might make it a open exhaust and if it can be done, put a 4 barrel carb on it. Or change the valve covers to thease other one that are on a old cuda. It's either that or rebuild the heads for experience.
done a LOT of welding on the trunk and frame rails in the camaro. gonna update that thread that i've been neglecting later.
it sucks
Changed a transaxle bushing on my Beetle. I hope that's wrong with the transaxle, if it is, I just saved myself about $180 dollars.

seafoamed the mustang. i didn't really notice any performance increase, but it does sound a little better. also the seafoam website said to drive agressivly afterwards so i did and it was the hardest i ever drove it and when i pulled back into the driveway some smoke was coming from the cats/somewhere near the back of the engine what does this mean
Exhaust leak. Seafoam is good for finding those.
after the car was off? and It doesn't sound like theres a leak but I mean there might be
whats seafoam :v:
The magical liquid that does wonders for your engine, fuel lines, intake, etc. Will clean off all of the sludge that built up over the years. Immediately noticed a difference in the idle, throttle response, pickup, and a 2mpg increase  First time it's ever slipped into 5th on the highway yesterday.
I put some seats from a '92 Acura NSX, in my '95 Civic Hatch and I got new struts for my rear Hatch glass. I will get some pics of the seats tomorrow when it is daytime.
about to start fixing my cracked rear corner spat. [editline]16th February 2011[/editline] mmm now covered in fibreglass.
Installed my radio today, works perfect. Going to install my speakers tomorrow night.
Bad picture, don't want to go back outside and take another.
would you recommend anybody that doesn't really know alot about cars, but my dad does and he has all the tools, do an engine swap to a 240sx by yourself?
I didn't do it myself, but I've heard that it really isn't that hard to do, especially if you have someone with a decent knowledge of mechanics. The hardest part will be the wiring, I suggest you buy a premade one, or get yours modded, not only to know it's done right to save you wiring problems (the worst kind) but it will also make the engine bay look better.
would you recommend anybody that doesn't really know alot about cars, but my dad does and he has all the tools, do an engine swap to a 240sx by yourself?
Probably not. But the internet is your friend. It's how I learned to do pretty much everything with my car. Just research a lot... and then research some more. Cars are amazingly simple once you get past the outer shell that makes it seem overwhelming.
could i just mount the engine in, and bring the car to a shop to get it wired? it seems like it will be alot easier that way.
you can just mount the engine in, and have your harness sent out to be converted, then it's a matter of plugging shit up swapping the motor yourself will make you learn your car, and when you know your car, you can take care of it better, and drive it better [editline]16th February 2011[/editline] although i will say it will almost always be cheaper to buy one already swapped
Whoever did the swap on my 240 did the shittiest wiring job. There were shorts EVERYWHERE. I must have sent the car in for electrical work at least 30 times.
If you do it yourself you can at least know it was done right, or where you went wrong if something fucks up.
