He doesn't just have a Cold Air though. He has some boost up in that bitch. (I think, atleast judging from his videos).
Finally at the timing chains - The upper guide was pretty much destroyed. It came out of the engine like that, broken in half, chunks missing and the second bolt there wasn't even connected to it - (old rail vs new)

Ughsadfjhbk Timing belt dead on - Ignition too advanced even with dizzy all the way retarded Timing belt one tooth forward - Ignition too retarded even with dizzy all the way advanced HONDA, Y U DO DIS? So tomorrow I'm going to set it dead on and use my cam gear to adjust my gear ~5 degrees retarded at TDC (which I guess is actually 0 degrees for the cam in my car) and then dial the dizzy about 12-14 degrees advance where it should be. This is such a pain in the ass. But it runs, fuck it. I'm just running my timing super retarded right now so it will get me into town in the morning.

I know right? I think I might go back to my shop later and fuck with it. I'm so bored today, there is nothing to do. If I had an allen wrench and a 12mm here, I'd go ahead and adjust it. But Japfeiffer still has all the tools with him. On a good note, I got handed $2000 in checks today that are made out to me. Sadly, they are post-dated for the 1st and 15th. :/

No bills besides a $13 water bill and electric. And $25 for my phone. I make that much in like, a couple days. I plan on using the money to buy another car of some sort as a project and then the rest will go into building my house.

And how many cars do you have now?
Don't say it, he's going to come and loot all of them.
I'm in Oklahoma. I only have my Civic, a '64 El Camino, and a '64 Chevy Fleetside. After these checks clear, I've decided to buy me some sort of muscle car project. :D Also, I got my timing semi-fixed. I think I have the cam 3 degrees advanced on accident, and my dizzy timin is at ~10 so I'm running 7 degrees... Should really be 12-14, I'll fix it tomorrow. Torque curve feels all funny right now :S
Painted my stock rims today since i wont have money for new ones anytime soon. I also ordered these to replace those ugly stock mirrors.
more like the past few days but whatevs, i chiseled some sound deadening today
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5698103/Camaro/P1300789.JPG[/img_thumb] wheel studs and whatnot i'm going to start sanding the car to get rid of all the surface rust that formed and then i'm probably just going to primer it
So tonight started out with figuring out what is up with my trunk light that never comes on, that quickly turned into taking apart the hatch actuator trying to figure out why it had never worked since I bought the car. I had both the lock and actuator out and took the actuator apart to find out that everything looked perfect inside and that everything worked correctly, hitting it with a 9v battery clicked it over and the clutch looked perfectly fine as well as all the gears. This stumped me so I took apart whatever I could on the lock mechanism and once again the motor worked and everything looked perfect. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I plugged them back in the car and started playing with them. [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5601782/IMG_20111016_230200.jpg[/img_thumb] I noticed that when I hit the hatch release something clicked on by the trunk light and near the antenna, I had previously thought this to be the actuator noise but realized that the actuator was struggling to move in my hand like it did when I hit it with a 9v. I then removed the back panel to find that there was a relay which was making the noise. I unplugged it and the actuator stopped getting power, so I figured that it was just the relay which had gone bad. [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5601782/IMG_20111016_233240.jpg[/img_thumb] So I pulled it off it's clip and shoved it through the trunk light hole and planned to test it with someone else's before I just buy a new one. I then slid the lock back to it's mount, screwed it in and went to slide the actuator in to realize that the rod which connects from the actuator to the key wouldn't fit through with the lock in the way. So I took the lock back out and slid the rod past and hooked it into the key. I then mounted the lock back up but when I went to slide the actuator in the key binded it up. So I then slipped the rod out of the key mount again. After that was done I mounted the actuator up and tightened down all the bolts and screws. I was about to test it when I realized that the hatch would come down on the fragile plastic side so pushed the plastic side back in and put the bolts back into it as I had already pulled the relay though it. I then completely forgot about testing it when I could and popped the back cover back on and scavenged what I could of the shitty body rivets that always break when you take off panels or fall inside the car to never be found again. I put my truck back together and secured my subs down, cleaned up all the tools and hopped in the car to go charge the battery since I had just spent 3 hours messing with the fucking trunk while listening to music from my car. [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5601782/IMG_20111016_235250.jpg[/img_thumb] I pulled back up into the garage and realized that I think the light was blown anyways and that I should take the bulb out and get a new one anyways. *click* What the fuck? *click* OH YOU'VE GOT TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME. Yeah, I forgot to slide the rod back into the key mount so that I could still open my truck since the actuator hasn't seemed to want to help with it. So now my trunk is unable to be opened until I either cut a huge hole into that back panel to slide the rod back in or get lucky and have it actually be the relay which is broken. I'm really hoping it's the relay as the actuator sounds more like it isn't getting enough power than that something is broken inside of it. I also think the drivers side lock knob thing finally decided to jam like the passenger side did a few months back, there's some retarded spring inside of it which will jam it's self keeping the door from locking(or unlocking) inside the knob. All it does is keep the knob tense so the knob has some sort of tension. I swear these 98+ Integras have the shittiest locks in the world, some of the designs in these things would even break with manual locks.. So much for planning to do struts and springs sometime this week, ugh.
Pull your back seat down and open it from the inside. Better than having to cut it.
I tore apart my front core mount. Apparently these fan's are strong as crap! Even tho it caught fire it still runs!!! I just have a slight issue... The fan is grinding on the side of the core mount, and will not let the fan to move. [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1031910/IMAG0190.jpg[/t] (The yellow is the "issue" area) [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1031910/IMAG0191.jpg[/t] Any idea's? Start shaving the fan edge?
Can you adjust where it's mounted? Move it away from the edge, sorta recenter it?
I do not see adjustment's for it. It's a "place and rotate 10 degree's to lock" kind of mount.. I just looked the fan is warped. ;_; [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1031910/IMAG0191a.jpg[/t] Get new fan?

If it's going to be some outrageous price, like over 100, then try and modify it i guess.

If you ever took that on the roads of Norway it'd be destroyed within a few days... or hours
Blaster, WASH AND WAX YO CAR! And very nice height. What happens if your wheel is turned and you go over a speed bump? Does the tire make contact with the fender or do I have a bad imagination?
Fucking sigh. My timing is dead on now and my car runs great, but I've busted a fucking oil ring in one cylinder. Ajhbdaskfgbkjhasgbasjkgb. Guess I'll pull this D16Z6 block and clean it up, go ahead and order me a new clutch, and some ARP studs and throw it all in the Civic, buy me something else to putt putt around in while I'm working on it. Still shooting for a third gen FI Camaro. We'll see how that goes. I still have 2 weeks before I get my first $1000.
supercharged 5vzfe 97 4runner manual 2wd and 4wd anyone?
