Shortened my bumpstops like a bawssss. Before: After:
Replaced my leaking head gasket today :)
Fully reassembled with dust covers :v
You have some screen to go with those scratches? :v:
It's a screen protector. I need to replace it soon you think?
Meh, up to you. If you never notice them, it'll just be a waste of money.
Oh goodness, busy week. Our classes last an hour and fifteen minutes a day and that is why I haven't spent hours everyday working at this damn truck. [t]http://i.imgur.com/3q2sK.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/Hhl9X.jpg[/t] Got the side panels off, disconnected most of the hoses and stuff connected to the engine, also whoever worked on this thing last was a genius. There was supposed to be a bolt holding the door on, but I guess they lost it and instead of finding one that was the right size they shoved two smaller ones in. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ZzK7J.jpg[/t] Next day we were ready to take the engine out, however someone forgot to disconnect the gear stick from the rest of the transmission, so that delayed us. However we did get the rest of the front off plus torched the rear bumper off. Also see that Suburban in the background? Apparently we're taking the 350 that is in it and dropping it into the S10
Considering getting a chrome grill for my S10, I've seen one around here with a chrome grill and it just looks mean.
My friend recently started to make his own cb 350 cafe racer style bike along side his friend from work. They work at a custom chopper place called Brass Balls, if you guys know anything about that sort of thing. This was the tank after he pulled out one of the larger dents and that is after some body filler and primer. You also might notice that he knocked in the sides of it and will no longer be using the emblem that was mounted on it. I know this is "What did YOU work on today" but i figure you guys are interested either way, and this thread is dead lately.
39 Chevy. Getting pretty far but still needs a lot of work. I like your driving gloves
looks more like a cast?
Yesterday I changed my rear brake pads. It's a bitch winding the piston back in, took much longer than it should've. Have a picture of the old pads next to the new
how thin are those old ones? That looks like you were about to get to the metal and wear through that and destroy your caliper.
There was a good few mm left. Although it had started to wear the brass bushing which made a nasty grinding noise.

Makes it so much easier. Removed and cleaned my EGR valve and ports aswell as VTEC solonoid and IACV valve. Engine is a lot more responsive now and have fixed my rough idle.
I don't, I used a G clamp and a screw driver to wind it.
Depends on the leverage you've got on that clamp but a proper winder has a good handle and lets you wind it back in no problem at all. Seriously good investment for a tenner, save yourself some hassel.
i use death cube

I've got rear drums that I need to change. I can do the front by myself because they are disk (still have to repack my damn bearings) but fuck drums.
I was one of the only people that ever actually learned how to do drums in my auto class; No one could pick it up but i never really had problems with it. [editline]10th November 2011[/editline] Some of those fucking springs are a pain though...
Installed a Hypertech chip, K&N air filter, and magnaflow mufflers onto the Thunderbird today! Tomorrow I'm going to be replacing the supercharger with a late-model (1996) one I picked up (~20 HP boost thanks to higher compression ratio from closer-spaced teflon-coated blades).
bettycrockerfuckmuscle, i recently got into a car crash with my car and im trying to take off the stepping assist that is bolted with steel L beams to the body. i was on my last bolt when i found out that the bolt that is holding the L-beam to the body is blocked by the right leaf suspension bars. and i cant bend the body back since its steel.
Late-model supercharger is in! I also installed a 160* thermostat. Next I need to get some aluminium boost pulleys.
I replaced the coil in my truck and put the left side door back together. That damn rubber thing on the widow keeps catching the metal at the bottom of the window.
Upon a brief inspection of my car, my friend discovered there was a rather disconcerting high pitch noise coming from the back of my car (the closest thing I can equate the sound to is really high pitched cicadas). He said it might be the fuel pump shitting itself. I honestly have no idea what it is, so I need a second opinion.
Also kinda sounds like a pinched pipe somewhere. You bottom out recently? The car have any weirdly placed fuses or capacitors back there for some unknown reason? Did the Cicadas come out of the ground just to mate to the rear of your car?
T-Bird had a strange issue where it would (Sometimes) begin bucking on the highway. I figured it was the cam sensor, but it actually turned out being something stranger, and a bit more common. The 21 year old alternator in the car was putting out almost 15v and frying the engine computer, so I replaced it and solved that problem! Next I'll be putting 3.73s and an AOD quick shift kit in it.
