Thump your mechanic in the head with a 3/4" torque wrench.
Will do. Also, why are all of the delicious wheels 4 x 100 and not 4 x 114.3
My 521's are both patterns. Ujelly?
whatev whatev help me pick some wheels out then faygo. REsmogging tomorrow morning, if it doesn't pass then I'm asking my grandparents for a 4ag swap christmas \m/
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5601782/IMG_20111125_161938.jpg[/img_thumb] Ooo, got a box from Honda. I wonder what's inside! [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5601782/IMG_20111125_162447.jpg[/img_thumb] Mainshaft bearing and the axle oil seals. Now I can finally get the transmission back on and get everything else put on..
Pulled out my water pump and replaced it. Tomorrow it's time to bolt the intake and exhaust back on, put the new head gasket in, then re-connect the engine and put in the new radiator. Just my luck that the radiator, head gasket, and cylinder heads all fail at once.
Also, burnt through the rest of my tank with this "guaranteed smog passer" shit Hopefully it's worth the long term damage.

Your pistons are a bit different but you won't hurt anything without the high top 4AGE ones. Also, you could, y'know, buy my 521s. :v
pics or they didn't happen [editline]26th November 2011[/editline] also why isn't my avatar updating
The avatar is your headlight popping up for me. Restart your browser and clear your cache.
Took apart the interior on a Triumph TR6 in preparation for a transmission change :3
Aw sweet it looks so pretty now, thanks dude! Watchu doin' to your tranny?

I don't comprehend.
Tried to change to the door lock today... failed hard .. looks like that thing wont come off easily
pulled an evo motor earlier, friends dad is going 2.4 stroker. possibly long rod stroker if i can convince him to sell his current rods and buy MAPerformance Ultimate Duty 156mm's reaaaally makes me want to get an evo, you can build a 1000whp shortblock for like $2500 bucks
What model Evo? Because IIRC all of them up to the current one have a 4G63, which would be much easier to obtain in, say, a GSX or Talon TSi.
Evo 8. 4g63's in eclipse/talon are different main noticeable thing is engine is turned 180*. also i've heard that gsx/tsi are just plain less reliable, and have weaker trannies. also evo's are more refined
The 4G63 in the Eclipse GSX and Talon TSi is not different than the Evo 8, from a builder's standpoint. A bare 2g block is identical to a bare Evo 8 block -- They were the same motor released in the same period. "The engine is turned 180 degrees" doesn't make it a different engine. So they used a different drivetrain, so what? All I'm saying is, making a 4G63T into a 2.4 stroker would be equally as fun in a GSX and require the same bits (crank, pistons, rods) because it's the same motor. 7-bolt 4G63 is 7-bolt 4G63, your difference is in everything that bolts to the block. Evo 8 stroker kits will work with 2G DSMs. They are IDENTICAL. Yes, That is exactly what I have been saying all this time.
I threw out this headlining: And put in the newly fixed headlining that I had in the white Jeep :D But I couldn't take a picture today since it got way too dark to see anything so I'll put a picture up tomorrow hopefully

[editline]28th November 2011[/editline] also one thing im confused on, if a evo 4g63 doesn't bolt into a 2g, and a 4g64 bolts into a evo, then how does it fit into a 2g?
Is 750-850AWHP big ponies?
DSM tranny can hold that with a little bit of work. It's more in axles, tbh, and the casing is bad about cranking near the mount.
also one thing im confused on, if a evo 4g63 doesn't bolt into a 2g, and a 4g64 bolts into a evo, then how does it fit into a 2g?
What? The evo 4G63 DOES bolt into a DSM and so does the 4G64. It's all about the mounts you use... Evo 4G63 + DSM manifolds and mounts and it bolts up to the DSM transaxle and everything works. 4G64 bolts up to the trans, but mounts I'm unsure of. Probably a mix of 3rd gen and 2nd gen mounts (for the Eclipse) but most likely all your 2G mounts will work. If not, custom job... Not that hard really. Making mounts is easy. Use the 4G63 intake and 4G64 exhaust manifold. The 4G63 and 4G64 blocks are almost identical (save for internals). Keep in mind, MIVEC won't work when swapping the Evo 4G63 into a DSM, because 2G DSMs aren't equipped with it. Solve that shit by using a DSM head (1G or 2G will work, 1G heads are shit though). DSM shit isn't "it only works one way", it's a lot like Honda stuff. 4G6x parts interchange with 4G6x, you can swap heads between 4G61, 4G63, 4G64... And all 4G/GxxB transmissions bolt up to all 4G/GxxB motors. A Mirage with a 4G61 or 4G15 can be swapped to a 4G63 with a little bit of wiring work and the 4G63 face mount from a Lancer/Mirage of the same generation, the transmission will bolt up and even the wimpy 4G15 trannies will hold a stock boosted 4G63. Stock, mind you. I'm a DSM guy, Lemon. I know my shit. Most people you see yapping on these forums for DSMs saying you can't do this and that don't really know what they are talking about.
Well one of my new bro's, who was a bro of a bro, just sold his evo and picked up a little built 2g tsi, so i'll prolly get some first-hand experience off that, and go from there.
DSMs are definitely fun. :D Go for it.
Unwired and removed the janky front foglight shit, since I couldn't put a front plate on with it there. Also had to bend the front plate mounts forward, so the plate wasn't facing the ground. Feels good to work on my car, real good.
A really shitty picture of the new headlining: And on thursday I'm hoping to get these fitted: [t]http://i.imgur.com/ZK60T.jpg[/t]

Jap wouldn't change it when he had the car and kept buying $4 quarts of oil every 1-2 days. Also My Honda Timing Kit, was at 4.25-5.25 degrees instead of 12-14 where it should be. Set it to 12. Also fixed the boost guage, got the black paint off of the intercooler, etc. It's my only car that I have to drive right now so I have to make sure everything stays ship shape. Tonight I'm going to put a new headlight in Jap's car and the new hood on my CRX.
The previous owner of my 'rolla had used masking tape at one point, around the inside and outside edges of the sunroof. Degreaser + nylon brush = 2 hours of scrubbing old ass residue off. Feels good though, and that nylon brush works wonders on all of the other shit on my car.
